It has been tough getting pictures this week and I went back to the area around Snow Hill station to get some pictures. This is a fun one of a new office block.

Staedtler Triplus fineliner pens on a blank index card. Hmm, I seem to have lost one of the pens. (The blue-green one...)

Excuse the messy writing but it's difficult to write "straight" while on a moving train. Especially when one is half asleep!

It's a little longer going anti-clockwise around Greenlake, but it should only add like five minutes... If I don't take any pictures.

“The miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world.”

“Los milagros de la naturaleza no lo parecen porque son muy comunes. Si nadie hubiera visto jamás una flor, incluso un diente de león sería el hecho más asombroso del mundo.”

Oops, I wrote 2005 instead of 2006...

So yes, I'm finally back after being sick for much of January. Been having issues with my drawing skills too hence motivation has also been low, but I figure I won't get any better by just moping around either.

Let's see how long I can keep this up this time!

My last train connection home once every 20mins so I only get one shot at it per day. Next time I'll get more of the platform and maybe make the motion blur less extreme

I have been one acquainted with the night.

I have walked out in rain -- and back in rain.

I have outwalked the furthest city light.

I have looked down the saddest city lane.

I have passed by the watchman on his beat

And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.

I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet

When far away an interrupted cry

Came over houses from another street,

But not to call me back or say good-bye;

And further still at an unearthly height,

A luminary clock against the sky

Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.

Still haven't hooked up the scanner. And I lost my Parker Jotter again. Yes I have switched index card sizes for my sketchpad.

Vanmoof seen in London!

This is what my daily commute to and from work looks like.

Of course, once off the train, the real fun begins. People moving in every direction to get where they're going.

Union station also connects GO trains to the TTC Subway and also VIA trains which travel to other Canadian cities.

The beater inside my Metro bike locker. Nobody at the station ever seems to know what these things are, or how cheap it is to rent one: $70/year plus a refundable $10 key deposit. You can't beat that.

Walking to work with Sergio in Hamburg. Sergio had a beard at this time - something of a festive one - in that it seems quiet popular for a few people at work to return from the Christmas holidays sporting more facial hair than usual!

Up there is the car highway (Interstate 5), where cars are barely moving. Down here is the bicycle highway, where I'm going as fast as I want!

Watching the Langdale ferry getting priority to leave (yet again), whilst waiting to go home to Nanaimo from work. This shot was taken from the dock in Horseshoe Bay near Vancouver, BC.

I love this house! Unique yard art - even for Austin! And now the city motto spelled out on the house itself.
