I think this is what they want to produce using the clay geysers (see wind energy photo's)

It's an object in my Dad's garden. It's to difficult to explain what it is. Dad have many rare things/objects in his garden for different purposes.. ;o) I made the capture in B/W because it gives a nice abstract.

how long this marathoned it?

but come to think of it, bus riding can be a slice of hilarious, meaningful city life if you filter out the boredom and schedule anxiety. there is a bit of hilarity in daily commute pictures, and a lot of use of camera as boredom avoidance.

On Tuesday I saw that my favorite view from the bus on my way to the office was blessed with a new misty look.

On Wednesday I took the Praktica to get it on film (first picture in comments).

On Thursday, as the misty view was there again, I shot it again, this time with a Voigtländer Vito I from 1940, my second oldest camera.

If you are curious about the Vito, check the second picture in comments... :)

I was bummed to realize that the field I walk closest to along my walk to work is not going to be planted with corn this year, after it was boringly left fallow last year. But then this morning I noticed that it's not fallow again. No, that looks like... PUMPKINS! EEEEEE!

The bucket loader is coming to right the crane, I'm sure. Although since the crane is missing it's... well, crane, I don't know what the point of the righting would be.

Ah, it's the slice-of-life shots that provide the memories. Last night it stormed something fierce here in Malta dropping over four inches (updated as the previous number was incorrect) of rain. The Maltese roadways tend to have issues when it comes to storm drainage and a night of rain means impassable roads everywhere for the drive to work the next morning. Having turned around after encountering a door handle deep lake in the middle of our usual route to work, we tried to find higher ground through the twisty, narrow, residential streets and after 30 minutes of stop and go traffic got a slight break only to hit a river running down a hill perpendicular to our route. We sat and watched a few cars ford the current and after the Mini in front of us did it (although it was up to his license plate) I decided I could take my three through it also. We made it but it was a little scary. My guess is the water hitting the upstream side of the car actually came further up the door than I'd like to think but the well-sealed doors kept the water out and the dry in. :)

A little while later we saw a few cars parked in a median with people bailing water out of their floorboards.

We eventually made it to work after a mere 45 minutes. Not a bad commute... if we were in California... oh, and did I mention we only drive 3 miles to work?

Today's FGR 365 is "shatter, crush, destroy".

Yesterday I had to kill a clone and I think my neighbors may have seen so to cover my bases I started up my Cybarachnomecha I built.

But to prove I'm not a complete bastard I saved their cat there.

I woke up a bit late this morning and ended up walking to work about 15 minutes after when I normally set out. That meant the sun was all up and in the sky already and crazy shit like that. It was a lovely crisp morning, and I even got to walk through a bizarre mist cloud at the first farm field, the kind of cloud that would, in a horror movie, be murderous. In real life, it just seemed to be a preliminary indicator that everyone in my household would have a thoroughly pleasant Friday.

Here in Holland it's almost 40 degrees.... ;o( T oday is the hottest day of the dutch summer. This wheather is not only good for "dutch old people", but also for "dutch young(er) people", as my little niece and her Auntie Diezzo.

my first try. i think i used 0.5 second long exposure. took it 5 times as it came down the platform, the people remained remarkably still. I was resting the camera on a emergency phone box.

The interesting thing is, only 2 stations (this one Queen's Park, and St. Patrick station) have rounded tunnels IN the station, all other stations on TTC are square.

For anyone who knows what I'm talking about, I was on one of those ancient metro cars with vinyl orange seats. She looked so comfortable snoozing there…

on my second computer at work, i inherited my old co-workers itunes library. man, he had some strange stuff on there. this is called "The Official Hamster Dance Song" by Hampton the Hamster.

So tired. Almost forgot to get off at my stop today. Thank goodness it's Friday!

Snowy mornings that are not that far away anymore... [the picture would need a little more contrast, I know, but somehow I like the flatness in this way :)]

Mañanas de nieve, que ya no quedan tan lejos... [la foto pide un poco más de contraste, lo sé, pero de algún modo me gusta lo plano de los grises así :)]

no permit necessary, no lame sixty bucks a month fees, and it's always available. there are a few other staff at wardenburg who bike to work. when I bring any of my other bikes, I have a spot inside to stash them, but the fixed gear doesn't mind living next to the dumpster.

this is a stealth rack in the receiving dock far away from where the students rack their ghetto Mongeese dual suspension kmart bikes. only a few people know about this one. I like it that way.

After a few weeks of making excuses for not getting up early to walk to work, this morning I dragged my ass out of bed to make my way through the swampy humidity and absurdly thick fog. As soon as I got to work, the sun came out. Naturally.

Almost slept through the entire train ride today. Was sitting further up in the car today as well, so not many people in visible range to draw. Should have sat facing the other way.
