This is a green building drip hose irrigation system. The hose is placed on the ground around the shrubbrey. This system saves on water usage by not spraying the water in the air and it blowing away from the shrubbrey and the sun is not evaporating the spray.
I mixed blue food coloring into vegetable oil and dripped it into water. McKinsey was my assistant :D
Trying to take these while pouring and timing mentally is harder than I thought.
I mean, it's not hard, but getting shots in focus is difficult.
The faucet was dripping, but when I went to take a pic, it stopped. So I forced it to drip and so there are many more drops than I had previously intended.
Shortly after the rain stopped, i stood at my back window snapping pictures of water dripping off the eves.

I've been doing all this drip irrigation research lately -- you know: turbulent flow, emitter spacing and evapotranspiration coefficients.
Little did I know that I had a resident expert.

Using the 200-500mm as a quasi-macro lens. Not really properly set up - i.e. no flash, remote release, tripod etc. The advantage of digital - you can waste a lot of frames trying to get one that works.
Taken at Cheddar Gorge in Somerset. Unsurprisingly available light is at a minimum but it is still possible to get some interesting shots. Cheddar Gorge is well worth looking around although it is quite expensive. We also had the fortune/misfortune to bump into Jedward who were filming for a children's TV program there!

Plop --> drop something with a plopping sound
Plop art --> Plop art is a derogatory term for public art sculptures made for corporate office plazas, the spaces in front of government buildings, and other public areas, including parks. The term implies that the work is considered unattractive, inappropriate to the location, or both. The term is a pun on pop art.
