Using flashguns is forcing me to use manual, which I like, because usually I'm too lazy. The focus on this is exactly where I wanted it. I used live view to set the focus.
Post edit: Lightroom to get rid of some of the noise, and adding a slight contrast as well as lens correction.

IKEA curtain printed drippy. I cut the stencil into a roll of mylar and then used a tempoary adhesive spray to stick it on, then stencil rolled all over the durn thing. It turns out the curtain fabric is really, uh, porous? Low thread count or something, large holes. I had to apply paint twice.
My son,Steven, made a drip pan for my Singer cabinet, It was amazing to see him make one just from looking at the original drip pan in my other old cabinet.

I am obsessed with icicles. I love them! I think they make me feel like I'm in some sweet Alpine village with skiiers and hot chocolate.
Last time I did this I got a pretty good shot - today, not so much! Picked the wrong day really, at home with a lively toddler and grumpy, teething baby.
And I'd left the ISO at 400 which didn't help!
Ah well. I like the colours and shapes, just a shame about the noise and lack of accurate focus!
Marginally better on black
