I haven't done any water drops for a while. I spent this evening doing some of these with my daughter's scout group. The best of them are here:-

The Canada goose (Branta canadensis), sometimes called Canadian goose,[2][3] is a large wild goose with a black head and neck, white cheeks, white under its chin, and a brown body. It is native to the arctic and temperate regions of North America, and it is occasionally found during migration across the Atlantic in northern Europe. It has been introduced to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, New Zealand, Japan, Chile, Argentina, and the Falkland Islands.[4] Like most geese, the Canada goose is primarily herbivorous and normally migratory; often found on or close to fresh water, the Canada goose is also common in brackish marshes, estuaries, and lagoons.

I haven't done one of these for quite a while and struggled with the timing, with a lot of shots not having any drips in the frame! I did have a couple where the refractions were better but the droplets didn't stand out as well so settled for this one.

The image measures approx 1.5" square.

I went out to a local park to take some photos this afternoon... I was prepared to take some awesome nature shots. Shortly after my arrival it began to rain. I was anxious waiting for the rain to let up & suddenly I thought to myself, why not capture the rain instead? I think this goes to show that you can make the best of any situation, even if it doesn't turn out the way you originally planned.

Just droplets on leaves of a shrub that grows behind and over a fence in a street around the corner. We've had two drought years in a row (2018 with almost no rain at all, and 2019 which was only slightly better), but in 2020 we finally have more, and also more frequent rain. And of course in 2020 we have altogether different worries on top of that... But I think it makes us appreciate the beauty that surrounds us even more. The fence doesn't play the main part here, it's a supporting role (literally), but it's there and also visible - a little bit ;-) Taken with the Ricoh GR III with my Macro user preset settings and processed in HDR Efex Pro.

Happy Fence Friday, Everyone, have a nice weekend, and always stay safe and take care!

Thought I would take a photo of something other than one of my pets, something a little more artsy than my normal photos. Trying to get out of my comfort zone. Will see how it goes. Don't worry, will still take photos of Elsie and Luna. Stay Happy, B

A la Jason Pollack.....kind of.

I don't often get to ride as a passenger in the front seat, so on this rainy evening I enjoyed just randomly clicking out the window as the lights painted the raindrops, in a blend of realism and bubbly abstract.
