I'm still learning to shoot high speed drips. not as easy at it looks - especially with the wrong type of tap

As the frost melted in the sunshine, drops formed which refracted the low sun onto the overhang above. As they formed and dripped, so the refracted images changed. If I'd thought this through, the camera would have been held far steadier, but they were drying out so fast there was no chance of a second shot. As filmed version!

A photo of water in the sink. My theory is that there's an interesting photo hiding in the ordinary things we do in our lives.

In the back of the railroad museum was this old water pump, which was rusty and leaking.

 

I took a bunch of pictures and liked this one was the most interesting.

It is raining lightly and water is dripping off the edge of the roof - a bit faster in one spot than in others.

Water Drop Photography

Messing around with the 105 macro and its crazy shallow depth of field.

Inspired by Travis Warren but we'll be using this to test how much water a drippy faucet can waste a day.

The "shadow" effect for the anniversary cake was done with bittersweet chocolate ganache - I chilled the cake (I actually put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes) so that the warm ganache would set almost immediately and not completely coat the sides.

you can see the edge of the fountian thru the drop of water. I wonder if the bird can see me thru the drop.
