Very little editing... just adjusted the levels a little bit.
This was a major "omgIhaven'takenapicturefortodayyetaaaah" shot.
But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. =]
Occasionally, it gets to be 8pm and I haven't taken a photo-a-day-type photo. This was one of those days. So I took my camera and marched into the bathroom. After taking some lame Q-tip photos, I saw my faucet drip. That was the A-ha moment. Yes, A-ha, as in "Take On Me."
Still trying but this time it is not really good photo. still learning :9

Milagros Dancehall Collective and Drip at Saguijo. Didn't bring my camera. I used Kat's digicam. Played with slow-sync flash. Experimented with temperatures in Lightroom
manual focus split focus test. af on the x100t is quite good, better than anything i've used (i don't go around testing af though, it's the sort of thing that i'll use if it's quicker/less annoying than manual but don't need…), but of course certain things still trip it up. this close focus of a sap drip would not lock focus, the target was just too small, and focus would lock on the bg. fuji's x-trans sensor has phase detection pixels for focusing. this enables quick, accurate af, but fuji has also provided a version of what these pixels see in its split image view. the result is, though indirect, going through a sensor and being linked to a fly-by-wire manual focus ring, very much a traditional slr split image rangefinder focusing experience. manual focus on tricky subjects like this drip is a rather simple task.
in other news, i kind of hate capture one and for all the things i do like about it, and hate about subscription models… well, i think i'm going to have to stick with lightroom.
