Weekly Project Picture - Glass Of Water.

I didn't want to do the obvious. I've tried to be a little creative but I'm not sure if you would class it as a picture for 'A Glass of Water'. Hmm.

I attempted the picture twice. All together I took a little less than 600 images. What a lot to choose from. But to be honest the images aint really what I expected... I imagined them to be better... haha I guess I'm really happy with the results from first attempts. :). I am impressed though because I've wanted to do images like this for a while.

When the requirements were to be in colour I thought how can you make a glass of water colour... I've added a bit of food colouring... pink of course ;). Due to me and my editing it's not pink anymore lol. I like it though.

I used Canon 30D, 50mm f1.8 lens. Natural lighting (the bathroom window) and my tripod. (Balancing on toilet haha)

check out more on the photostream :). (I would like opinions on the other pictures tooo :].) I found it a hard decision to choose from this week... and for once I actually like my upload but I'm not sure if you class it as the task... :(. I hope you do. x

Rain drips off the roof. Don't know why the background whent white.

I am installing a drip irrigation system for our container plants. I programmed the controller to run twice a day for an hour each time. The drip rate is .5 gal an hour. Today I changed to three time a day at 1/2 hours each time. I will need to monitor it for a while to determine if it needs more or less water.

I am on a search for nude beaches in the New England area. Does anyone know of any? The internet is kind of sucking in giving me decent results.

Getting this picture was an excercize in patience. I'm using my old camera, and it's SO SLOW to write to the card. Also, it's very heavy compared to the camera I usually use!

I enjoy taking these "little" shots nearly as much as the "big" ones. I find it fascinating to try and capture something simple in an interesting way. Not sure I actually do, but it's fun trying!

I am finally home after what seemed like a long week. It was productive in terms of both work and photography. I'll start trying to catch up with everyone soon! Have a great weekend!

Day 4 - Total wash out. Think it has rained all day nearly which isn't helping all those poor flooded people and businesses :(

The rain was really pouring and down and pooled on our garden table and it was causing some really good splashes, they would have been a great photo subject but I wasn't in the mood to get wet today so didn't brave the rain to take a photo! I waited until the showers had temporarily stopped to snap this.

After a cold night of -1C degrees, a huge frost and even more huge fog... the sun appeared... and the tree melted.

I drove under this tree on my way somewhere and I had to turn around & go back to capture this - the sun coming through the bare branches warmed the tree and the moisture *rained* down.

It was a magical sight and the residual fog behind the tree makes it all look ethereal.
