I got this new dress today and it is so pretty and even better because it was marked down from $90 to $23.
- I white cotton thrift shop tablecloth, lace trimmed
- 1 used blouse sewing pattern
Dye bath consisting of 1 can Coke, curry powder, ketchup, tea leaves, paprika, vinegar, salt.
Et voila.
Dear Wardrobe Remixers,
I have a very important and fun question to ask you: I am having a joint birthday party with my friend next week, I am turning 23, and I need to know which of these two supremely saucy dresses I should wear to the festivities.
Dress #1 is black and short and has chiffon-y overlayers that flutter about, and the neckline and straps are covered in rhinestones. It's a total Edie Sedgwick dress.
Dress #2 is strapless and knee-length and has little black and white fabric bows all over it. It's weird as hell and gives me poppin' booty.
I also have two pairs of shoes:
Shoes #1 are black and white with bows on the vamp. They are eighties vintage. They rule.
Shoes #2 are black peeptoes with slightly lower heels, which are vertically black-and-white striped. They rule also.
So, which dress should I wear with which shoes! Please peruse the photos and tell me! Your stylish advice will be dearly appreciated. Love, Lily

August 14, 2018. My first private photoshoot with a model. Christina Balancourt Montero is in a beautiful Denis Durand couture Cannes dress (a tad too long for her) hair and makeup from Dessange Nice Dubouchage, nails by Eny Nails Nice, with help from my wife Annie, my trusted Canon 6D and most shots from the Sigma 85mm F1.4 ans some with Samyang 14mm and a few the Tamron superzoom. Falicon is a quiet little village with a view on Nice hills, the sea... The weather was thunder stormy in the middle of the afternoon, but if opened up later. I've included relevant backstage and shots of the place to round it up. I'm blown up by the results, everything was amazing. I did some photos with film, worked a little in a lab in black and white, so I'm impressed by what is doable with digital, dynamic ranges are sci-fi, you can have both a backlit model and the clouds both with good grading, lens, camera, computer ... what great achievements! We live in a world of fantastic innovations and progress... a shame we don't use this genius to save the planet. That was a wonderful day, and now we have new friends.
