Signs of some early falls colors at Skinny Dip Falls along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This was my first visit to these falls and certainly won't be my last. I know this can be a popular spot so I took advantage of the bad weather and my wife and I had this place all to ourselves.

My hopes were low when I headed out for Sunnyside Park yesterday. I’ve been taking photos at the Toronto Polar Bear Club’s annual plunge since 2014. As I drove down I imagined taking more pictures of empty spaces. What I hadn’t realized was that the fundraiser for the Boost Child and Youth Advocacy Centre had moved online. People were doing their own dip for Boost. People arrived in ones and twos and my heart swelled. It was a good start to a new year. I miss you Toronto: I hope to see more of you again soon!

The Copper Motel had it going on at one time. Motel, pool, restaurant and bar. Then the hard times came in the copper mining days that kept Superior going, and pffft.
A little odd, the pool was right in the parking lot, but I guess that's the old space they had for it. When I was here, I fully expected this to be razed before long. Surprisingly, the motel was refurbished into "apartments', and looks, at least from the outside, not too shabby. The pool was razed, now it's all just parking lot.
So some Eejit came up with this idea to do 52 diptychs in 2012 . one mono and one colour . So i`ll be uploading mine every Sunday for the next 52 weeks !! ..................
And No !! this isn`t my 2012 project , just a sidebar so to speak ....... thought it might be fun ;-))
