I don't know the name of the plant that had these curly shoots. ...but I thought they were cool.

One of the white pumpkins I grew this year. I didn't intend for the shadows to be this dark. I'd placed the pumpkin in a sunbeam on the floor in an otherwise shady room, but I actually think I like the way it came out better. I trimmed most of the pumpkins stems back when I cleaned them, but I had to leave the little tendril on this one. It just looks too perfect.

Expect a ton of pumpkin photos at some point. They're one of my favorite subjects at the moment. Ha.

Curly-tail Lizard,. Cuba. The lizard prefers rocky deserts, often close to shore. It will grow up to 25 cm (10") and has large scales. The distinctive black-and-white tail is rolled vertically up and down when excited.

These members of the family Tropiduridae (subfamily Leiocephalinae) originate in the Antilles, ranging from from Cuba to Trinidad.

They are shy and VERY fast. It's difficult to get really close.

This was a long exposure shot of North Curl Curl pool (about 5 min ). It was pretty cloudy except for a narrow band of sky on the horizon that was showing through the colour of dawn.
