So I wanted something much more epic for my 65th picture. I never thought I would make it this far. Just think only 300 more to go. Anyway we had friends in town and a mini party for my husbands birthday. So I had a lot more to do then just take pictures. We got these cups awhile back and finally had a chance to use them. It was getting close to midnight so I just had to go with it. I'm not a big fan of my profile but this makes me appreciate it a bit more cause I think it could be worse.

Tea at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. This was the Lady Grey with lavender tea. The china was very sturdy and pretty: Premier One made in China.

This collage was made entirely from magazine strips with a technique I call "painting with paper." I cut the paper into different shapes and layer them in such a way that they look almost like the brushstrokes in a painting.

Somewhat of an unplanned trip to the South Street Seaport to check out the England vs USA match. Of course I had to bring my new favorite gadget for daytime long exposures.
I really wanted to shoot the Brooklyn Bridge, and I did but the clouds just weren't there to make it worthwhile. I turned my camera on the crowd that was standing in front of an already packed bar watching the game on some TV sets they set up outside. The best thing about about the event had to be four British fans that sat inside the bar right at the window that you can see in the shot. You can just imagine the back and forth taunting and other antics.
The game ended in a draw, the way I see it we won by not losing.
(For those asked about what the rig for daytime long exposures looks like, I forgot to take a photo of it, but if you're still interested I'll have it up next time I upload)
