I've had a stack of vintage tea cups on my dining room table for a month now...finally got around to shooting them :))))
Almost ready to pack them away again, but can't bring myself to do it. They're all from my Moms side of the family, Grandma's & great Grandma's. Thinking they may deserve a place on display, they won't stop tugging at my heart strings :))

Lichens are fascinating hybrid organisms composed of algae and fungi. Many ascomycete species can only exist in conjunction with living green or blue-green algae (cyanobacteria). The fungi obtain nutrients from the algae and also protect them from intense sunlight through pigments. This allows around 25,000 lichen species worldwide to colonize even harsh habitats such as bare rocks.
