This delightful tea cup and saucer came from a little antique shop in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
We particularly liked the pattern and overall design and also the lack of indent within the saucer which signifies an amount of age.
First real experiment using off camera flash.
Nikon SB-700 with built in plastic diffuser to camera right at 1/10 power fired using the D7000 built in CLS flash trigger. 1/250, f8.
processed using PS CS5, spot tool used to remove a few dust spots on the table.

Coffee Cup, Urban Beans, Phoenix, Arizona. Test of the Mitakon 85mm f/1.2 at f/1.2. Sharper than expected, bokeh very nice based on my personal preferences. Nice looking lens. Focus mechanism was a little rough at first but seems to have smoothed out. Aperture ring like silk. Looking forward to the Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.2 S. I'm sure it will be great and three times the cost.
these are some attempts of a cup and saucer, I wanted to make one set of these for the Alice and wonderland swap but i didn't had enough time, so i made plush ones in stead.

A quick question after arriving from today's hike... Do others too use ball head as a coffee cup holder? I mean that's why it has a spirit level, right?
In downtown Bryan, OH. The diner itself looked nice, but we'd already ate, and it was too early for dinner. Love the pouring arrow.
Here's a night shot.
Just when you think you've exhausted all the decent, independent coffee shops in the city centre (there are very few… go to the West End instead). My friend suggested Cup when seeking solace from the April showers. I mean July. July showers. They specialise in cupcakes. Every flavour imaginable. This was banoffee. This was delightful.

The Week
On Monday best beloved husband of all brought back gouda from Amsterdam. This man knows the way to my heart!
However due to that fact I'm still unable to join the tulip mania at present.
On Tuesday I learned that the male mosquito is a vegetarian. Only the female bite!
On Wednesday, inspired by those facts of vegetarianism and since I'm cooking lunch for my builders, yes they are still here, one of them gave a long speech about that that vegetarianism is a whole load of crab, while stuffing his face with a lovely vegan dish I had made that day. Funny how easily one can convince people without a word need saying!
On Thursday I had to hunt down club penguin, the ninja ones! The must have this spring season for any gentleman of a certain age! The only problem was, I kept forgetting what they were called and started my search by asking for fighting pigeons!
On Friday I rammed my car into the garage door, which I swear was open when I checked in the rear mirror. It must have closed itself as if by magic, while I was choosing a gear to reverse!
On Saturday I happened to overhear following conversation:
“You're dead!”
“No, I'm not!!”
“Yes, you are! The blue light on your laser gun is on!”
“It didn't beep!!”
“It does not always beep!”
“Oh!”
“Told you so!”
“Am I really, really dead?”
“Yep!”
“ Maaammmmaaa? I'm dead!”
“I'm so sorry to hear, darling! Would you like some icecream?”
++++stop press++++ latest news: a mother from Shropshire has found the ultimate cure to worse case scenario: icecream! She adds: “Especially with chocolate I seem to achieve particularly good results!”++++++
Oh finally Sunday, beautiful day... rugby time again! Remembered the camera, had a full battery and yes even a card inserted! Forgot to change lenses though... the nifty fifty ain't helpful on a rugby pitch! Unless you like green grass and lot's of little dots somewhere in the distance!
Monday again....
Oh poor me ! I'm whining and complaining because the grocery store did not have my favorite wine or my favorite tea today. I am out of both so had to buy others. And I chipped my favorite wine cup today too! Today's topic for Our Daily Challenge has made me think about the bounty of choice I have in my life. I remember the first few years I lived in China I could not buy any coffee, wine, chocolate or cheese because there was none at all in the stores.
