E Low Crossings Road can be found just south of Hallsville, MO. It is a nice place to add when chasing the COLT from COMO to Centralia

After a week with the family, I was anxious this past Thursday, to be able to get out for the afternoon with my camera and do a little communing with nature. The skies were still pretty overcast, but I decided to head down to the Cape May Point State Park and stretch my legs on the trails.
The swamp mallow is in bloom and made a lovely backdrop for these herons and ducks.

A crossing Konik horse in the Kennemer Dunes. This wild horse has Polish roots and you can hear that in its name. 'Konik' means 'little horse' in Polish.

While I was framing this, a couple walked by me. One quietly asked the other what I was photographing and the other said, "I don't know". Time lapse exposure of Shibuya crossing. Over a million people pass through this busting intersection a day. Nowhere else in the world do this many people pass through such a small vicinity allowing for some amazing images. Check out my website shankenimages.com for more awesome shots.

Another one from a few years ago of a lone elephant bull crossing the railway line that bisects Pongola reserve.
Pongola Game reserve isn't somewhere that I would want to visit again as I believe that there are much better reserves in KZN.

A CrossCountry train for Stansted waits at the platform as the cars wait at the platform. The only hint of a drama unfolding off to the right is the open doors of the Range Rover. The closed gated have held up the emergency doctor who is trying to reach an accident scene on a pedestrian crossing on the far side
