I always want to manage the mass amount of my hiking photos so many years ago since I don't have the ability to do a long hiking any more. Let me try to upload the photos of the fantastic trail this time and hope it will be completed finally.
Mabolasi Crossing Trail starts from Dongpu Entrance in the west part of Taiwan and ends at Yuli Bridge in the east part of Taiwan.
The total length of the trail is approximately 84.7 kilometers, and we took 8 days to complete it. The highest point of the trail is Xiuguluan Mountain with a maximum peak height of 3,825 m.
I have forgotten all the details so let the pictures tell the story.
These photos were digitalized from films and are just for memory and records.
Some spots and scenes may probably no longer exist since it's about 15 years ago.

A morning journey and view of a pedestrian bridge crossing the Menomonee River. This particular capture had me traveling thru the river, quite the adventure for me.

... from the Severn Crossing. I have been sitting on this for a few weeks as could not decide which of the hundred or so near identical shots to post. I am a bit click happy; a combination of fear of losing a great shot, and the inner happiness that comes from the sound of the Nikon shutter. Oh, and yeah, I too would have liked to get the sun bang in the middle. ;-)
I will get round to all your streams over the next few days. Have a great evening! :-)

Here's another experiment in HDR.
It was taken on Sunday morning at Eaton's Crossing at Samford, Queensland, Australia.
Special thanks to not too shabby for taking us to this beautiful place.
I'm still away so thanks in advance for any comments :)

An artwork by Camille Walala that was commissioned by Better Bankside and Transport for London. It is said to bring happiness to all who use the crossing. At this early hours in the morning, it works for me :-)

Perhaps the end of life is not the final chapter. As light fades in one realm, it may begin to glow in another.

I have dreamt of this shot for a while - this one was planned and hoped for. I knew wild alligators crossed that dirt road, from one side of the swamp to the other, because I had seen the gator trail and had missed them once before. So hubby and I woke up at 5am, drove almost 2hs to this remote WMA, in one of the wildest areas in South Carolina, and waited for them. It was frustrating when we got there, because we had just missed one crossing again, but we waited some 30 minutes, quietly… then one of them crossed and I got it! Woot! I was still celebrating and thanking God when another one crossed... then another…. and another :) It was a foggy morning, but lighting was lovely and the setting was perfect - I like it natural, I didn’t feel like processing this much.
The 'standard' prehistorical crossing of the River Thames was at a point where the river slowed down and at the point where the ancient (and later Romanised) Watling street crossed the fluid boundary. Watling street is a diagonal cross country route that has extended links to Angelsey in north Wales, Kent and Western Scotland.
As Watling Street heads north, it passes through the city of St Albans. St Albans once hosted the Thames before its bed was changed as a result of post ice age geological upheavals. London's Watling Street crossing point can be known as the Lambeth Ford, and The Houses of Parliament currently sit over its northern exit point.
Hollow canoes, rafts and skin stretch frame boats (coracles and kayaks) will have all peppered the river's slight edged waves, with jetties helping launches, fishing and reducing a little the sense of distance. Today (as with many a metropolis), from some angles, it is difficult to see the full length of the river, as bridges and buildings bustle and join, and this can give an impression that prehistory never happened - was elsewhere ... in the countryside.... in museums...

A very large tanker and a tour boat (a sort of fake pirate ship) crossing paths in the Lydia Ann Channel of the Intracoastal Waterway near Port Aransas, Texas. The tanker is the Eagle Texas. Don't worry, they are not nearly as close as it looks like from this angle.
Crossing the River Tamega on the Ponte Ferroviaria do Tamega on the Mira Douro, Douro Valley trip. We took a lot of photos from the train so tracing the route on Google Maps I'm trying to identify the locations!
