this photo is cropping because the main point of interest is the mushroom and all the other stuff around it is noise.

This is a 4-exposure bracket @ 2-EV. Image was cropped to 4X5 format.
Post: Aurora HDR, Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 (red filter effect, plus a lot of control points) & Lightroom 5.
Update: Image was adjusted since this post - when printed, and reexamining it on the monitor, it just didn't look right to me. Foreground rock and mountain were darken down a little (-1/3EV), along with added overall tone adjustments to the river area. The small piece of dead wood in the lower right corner, and two black spots on the back rock on the far left, were taken out. It's not posted. That piece of wood is attached to a log in the foreground - it was cropped out because it didn't add anything to the composition.
==============================
"top crop" pics are (re)posted in no particular order, 33 in total, I tried top 10 and there's no way I could restrict myself to 10, top 20 didn't work either, 33 made the cut (paddle up/down stream for more), I'll re-post 3 a day before the New Year

Whilst standing about in a field trying to photograph some hay (as you do) the farmer turned up with his crop sprayer. He didn't seem to mind me being in his field.
Something's growing well.

Bare bones agriculture. Should have never taught the wife to drive a tractor. Happy Halloween to all.
Went on a cycle and came across this field. Was a nice night until it started to rain. Pretty happy i got the shot i wanted while the sun was still around. Model - Richard Gaston

Phi Gamma Block had their annual hazing party on a nearby farm. All the inductees were required to place a brick over the farmer's crop resulting in a pattern of lines.

I guess i was just in a hurry so i did it over and took more time and cropped out a few egg carton black holes.
The second crop circle of the UK crop circle season. Unfortunately I was a day late to this one and the farmer had cut a line straight down the centre of the formation. Now I think it looks like a tone arm on a vinyl record player.
Did this after looking at a picture of opening blossoms on a tree. I left the computer, didn't draw anything, dropped and straw blew some runs, but over worked it. I was trying to do what I had done earlier, but starting with a picture in my head. Doesn't seem to work for me that way. If I find a picture in the dropped paint, it seems to work better. There were some nice colors in this and a few good spots, so I cropped it and got enough to please myself.
