I love building creatures and dinosaurs. I built these when I was 5.

A 10 colour silkscreen print made for 'My favourite present' a Christmas show on now at the Soma Gallery in Bristol. This was printed in an edition of 30. Its based on some of the work I've been doing with nineteenseventythree.

A surprising number of human beings are without purpose, though it is probable that they are performing some function unknown to themselves.

Hanging Rock, the location of the 1967 novel Picnic at Hanging Rock by Joan Lindsay and the brilliant 1975 film Picnic at Hanging Rock by Peter Weir. - just watched the Blu-Ray version... excellent!! :-)

Taken in Burlington, Vermont, USA. These little creatures are atop the old Burlington Train Station.

July 24, 2019

We came across these hollow sand "eggs" at the water's edge at Crosby Landing Beach. Each one had a little hole in the end, and most had a larger opening on the side. There was nothing inside, but we figured it was some kind of creature dwelling.

We walked along the shore looking for one that might be inhabited, and finally we found one that had no visible hole. We opened it and found what looked like a tiny developing crustacean.

I have no idea what it is. I would love some help identifying it, if anyone has any info or ideas.

(It kind of looks like the Silkie from the Teen Titans Go! cartoon.)

â–¶ REVIEW

My first taste of any beer is with my eyes. This beer was not eye-candy. Murky light orange, it almost looked baby-sludgy.

The aroma and flavor were much better than the appearance. The melon-banana-mango-peach-orange aromas of new age hops such as Mosaic: this beer had those juicy-fruity aromas in abundance. All in a 5% alcohol-by-volume beer.

After reading the brewery website, I learned that there were wheat and oats in the grist, both of which contribute protein, a beer-body enhancer, and a deliberate source of haze.

This Glow in the dark version of the Creature from the Black Lagoon was put out in 2024 in celebration of 70 years since the Movie was released by Universal Pictures .

This is a ten inch tall vinyl figure. With articulation at the wrists, shoulders and neck.

Sold by Mondo. Which seems to sell and host many vinyl figures. This was designed by Attack Peter .

I saw this at a toy store, and couldn't pass it up.

This GITD figure is the second version from this sculpt.

The first has a two tone light and dark green coloring I don't like. This GITD version has a nice green color. I could do with out the gold color. But I still like it a lot :)

Late in the day the Damsels and Dragon Flies get tired and begin to rest on the warm rocks of Arroyo Seco. That is how I was able to get about and inch away from these quick and shy creatures with a simple point and shoot camera. I used the Canon Elph SD750

in macro mode zoomed in 4x. I place the camera on the surface to get the sharpest images possible. The face recognition software sees this as a face and focus on in just as it would if it were in portrait mode. Really cool technology. ; )

I didn't go inside the art gallery, but the outside was certainly interesting. :-)
