This is a marine creature I took pics of while snorkeling at Ariel’s Point, Boracay. Species is unknown to me. Species ID needed.

Ariel’s Point is one of the top attraction at Boracay. An exciting destination located 35 to 45 minutes away from Boracay Island by outrigger boat, this Eco-adventure paradise provides guests with the opportunity to cliff dive, kayak, paddle-board and snorkel in an unspoiled tropical paradise. One of the nice things about winter is the desire to make oneself warm and cosy. When they converted the gas supply to natural gas British Gas tried to tell customers the much loved Gas-Miser fires would no longer work and make them buy a new one. I am glad it was still installed when I bought this house as I do love it.

Taken in Burlington, Vermont, USA. These little creatures are atop the old Burlington Train Station.

Filming location for Revenge of the Creature (1955). I was so happy to see them acknowledge the fact. On the walkway above the beach they had an information spot with a blurb on the Creature and a photo of the movie poster.

January was the Creature for Halloween this year and when I knew we were going to Marineland I packed her costume knowing it would be a great photo op. She didn't disappoint. She stood on the rock and let out a little Creature growl. It's my favorite photo to date.

I blew the focus but I've made peace with it. It's part of the dangers of shooting wide open. She was moving a lot and wasn't happy about the reflector. Perfect focus or not, this one is totally going on the wall.

While the day couldn't have gotten any better it didn't go downhill from here. Walking over to Marineland I found a cinder block shaped like a dolphin in their gift shop. It was left over from the original Marineland that was around during the filming of Revenge. It was their last one, apparently, and I totally took it home as an ultimate keep sake.

▶ REVIEW

My first taste of any beer is with my eyes. This beer was not eye-candy. Murky light orange, it almost looked baby-sludgy.

The aroma and flavor were much better than the appearance. The melon-banana-mango-peach-orange aromas of new age hops such as Mosaic: this beer had those juicy-fruity aromas in abundance. All in a 5% alcohol-by-volume beer.

After reading the brewery website, I learned that there were wheat and oats in the grist, both of which contribute protein, a beer-body enhancer, and a deliberate source of haze.
