Captured with a Minolta Dynax 700si on AgfaPhoto APX 100 film, this black-and-white image presents the Reinhold-Maier-Tower in Boertlingen. The green-and-white striped structure, resembling a lighthouse, is a repurposed nearly 100-year-old pendulum tower of the state water supply, now serving as an observation tower. Standing tall against a textured sky, its bold pattern contrasts with the surrounding landscape. A bare tree frames the right side, adding a touch of quiet solitude, while the adjacent building grounds the scene in a sense of place. The image evokes both clarity and nostalgia, blending architectural precision with an atmospheric stillness.
An infrared false-color photograph of Charlotten Lake in Uhingen, captured in near contre-jour lighting with a 55nm filter. The lens flares mark the sun’s subtle presence, while the surreal tones transform the tranquil water lilies and glowing trees into a dreamlike reflection of light and stillness.
A portrait not only of her face, but of the light that chooses to reveal her.

in the heart of madrid, at plaza escultor juan de ávalos, light and darkness waltz in a playful dance. a skater glides across the plaza, his silhouette perfectly carved against the concrete canvas. the interplay of sharp contrasts captures a fleeting moment, where movement meets stillness, form meets freedom. beneath the steps, the shadows stretch like silent spectators, framing his solitary performance. a scene where the city breathes and a figure moves with an unseen rhythm, echoing the city's pulse.
A headless figure, a Captain America stripped of all reason and blinded by power, emerges from the darkness under a pouring rain. In place of the mind, only brute force remains, advancing blindly to crush the earth. But the true visual and political core of this shot is his operational limb: a sick right arm, marked by the symbol of Israel, which becomes the infected and ruthless tool used to carry out the act. There is no thought, no justification, only a toxic and pathological alliance that, despite its own blindness and corruption, keeps on trampling and defacing the entire world.
Winter Glow
A January sunset over Kelowna, where cold air meets warm colour. I’m often drawn to moments like this—soft light, quiet skies, and the way winter evenings still find room to glow. This is how I like to slow down and see the day end.
I'm a great admirer of creative vision and this artist, working on a large sunset mural with cans of spray paint immediately caught my eye. She was working from a vision in her head - periodically stepping back to check the results. Out of the picture and beside my position, was another stepladder with a camera secured by duct tape. It was set to snap a picture every 60 seconds and would produce a time lapse of the work in progress. I imagine that would make for a cool video.

capturing jean-remy von matt isn’t just about taking a portrait. it’s about distilling the essence of a man whose ideas have shaped how we see the world. here he stands, framed by the worn glass of his beloved citroën van—a vehicle that now lives on in his home as a tv room, holding memories of movement and meaning. the shot reflects his unique creative spirit: clarity and shadow, the seen and the unseen, converging in a single moment. this isn’t just a photograph; it’s a tribute to a life driven by ideas, told through the frame of a citroën.
Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.

Almost threw this one away, then I found a good way of framing this to enclose that light, and that black [shadowed] wall on the left.

On my way home to Manila, I noticed this bright red wall at the Victory Bus Station in Baguio. Got interested. And from my seat from the bus, took this shot.
Captured with an Insta360 camera in the beech forest of Stokke, this image bends winter inward.
Snow becomes sky, trees transform into orbiting lines, and the forest closes in on itself like a quiet universe. What is usually walked through is now looked down upon — a shift in perspective where season, geometry, and stillness meet.
Winter doesn’t silence the forest here; it redraws it.
Fun fact: Beech forests remain visually expressive in winter because of their tall, straight trunks and sparse canopies — making them especially well suited for 360° photography and so‑called “little planet” perspectives.
Bear in mind, if you are going to amount to anything, that your success does not depend upon the brilliancy and the impetuosity with which you take hold, but upon the ever lasting and sanctified bulldoggedness with which you hang on after you have taken hold.

The miracle, or the power, that elevates the few is to be found in their industry, application, and perseverance under the prompting of a brave, determined spirit.

In this minimalist architectural study, I focused on how light plays across concrete surfaces to create subtle gradients and sharp edges. The composition explores the dialogue between rigid geometric forms and the flowing nature of light.
Experience Hamburg’s iconic harbor in a completely new way! This abstract motion blur photograph captures the essence of movement, history, and the maritime atmosphere of the famous Landungsbrücken and its tall ships. The fusion of water, architecture, and speed creates a dreamy, artistic vision of one of Germany’s most famous waterfronts.
And so faith is closing your eyes and following the breath of your soul down to the bottom of life, where existence and nonexistence have merged into irrelevance. All that matters is the little part you play in the vast drama.

I thank God for the gift of sight
I thank God for seeing Him
I thank God for the beauty
even in seemingly mundane things that surround us
I thank God when I doubt
for in the end I realize He blesses me
and i realize you are a blessing to me, too!
I thank God for the gift of virtual friendship and the internet
for he makes people like us connect
making us one in spirit!
God Bless and have a great weekend to you all!

Taken from the doorway of Binondo Church, which was then undergoing renovation.
Through careful composition of a modern building's facade, I created an abstract study in light and shadow. The crisp geometric forms cascade down the frame like a dark ribbon, while the precise lighting emphasizes the architectural rhythm.
By photographing this glass building, I created a complex geometric dance between the physical structure and its reflections. The repeated patterns multiply through mirrored surfaces, creating an infinite architectural maze where reality and reflection become indistinguishable. The monochromatic treatment emphasizes this visual puzzle, transforming a modern facade into an abstract exploration of depth and repetition.
All married couples should learn the art of battle as they should learn the art of making love. Good battle is objective and honest - never vicious or cruel. Good battle is healthy and constructive, and brings to a marriage the principle of equal partnership.

In Toulouse airport's connecting tunnel, I focused on how the curved glass and lighting create an almost sci-fi atmosphere. The repeated forms and aqua-tinted glass transform this functional passage into a futuristic transportation capsule.
By isolating these white balconies against a dark sky, I transformed a familiar building element into an abstract rhythm of light and shadow. The repeating curved forms create a visual melody that plays with our perception of architectural space.
Backyard Universe
A lens ball bends light to create an upside-down miniature world—turning ordinary scenes into tiny universes through the magic of refraction.
By focusing on the repeating elements of this facade, I created a visual symphony of light and shadow. Each line builds upon the next, forming a dynamic composition that seems to ripple across the frame.
Working with my friend, I envisioned creating an image that transcends traditional photography to enter the realm of contemporary visual art. The composition was carefully planned to capture that perfect moment of elevation, symbolizing freedom and transcendence. The natural elements - the sunset sky and water - provided the perfect canvas for my artistic vision. I chose to maintain the vertical elements to add architectural rhythm and depth to the composition, creating a structured framework that contrasts beautifully with the dynamic human figure. My goal was to craft not just an image, but an emotion - that feeling of limitless possibility and pure joy. The color palette, with its interplay of warm golds and cool blues, was crucial in achieving the dreamlike atmosphere I was seeking. This piece represents the fusion of technical precision and artistic imagination, transforming a simple moment into something magical.
Using stark contrast and clean composition, I transformed this building detail into an abstract study of curved lines. The rhythmic pattern of white bands against black creates a sense of movement and flow, turning architecture into pure geometric poetry.
