Using stark upward perspective on this modern building's facade, I created an abstract study in geometric patterns. The monochromatic treatment emphasizes the sharp angles and repetitive elements, transforming functional architecture into a graphic composition.
Boredom is a sign of satisfied ignorance, blunted apprehension, crass sympathies, dull understanding, feeble powers of attention, and irreclaimable weakness of character. (James Bridie)
A striking example of modern organic architecture, this building's fluid lines and curved balconies create a sense of movement and harmony. The monochrome palette enhances its sculptural elegance, emphasizing contrast and form.
Rahyll was one of my interns in the House of Representatives. I usually see her reading in this corner. She wrote a policy paper on a very controversial issue: Population Management in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. She had the best policy paper among the 19 who made it in my Batch 7 of interns.
Found at LRT Sta Cruz Station. The lady is a passenger and the other one is a stand-up cardboard life-sized photo of an unknown advertisement.
Through careful composition of architectural elements, I created this abstract study where white lines intersect against pure black. The precise arrangement transforms a building's functional features into a geometric ballet of light and shadow.
A moment of calm in the middle of nature’s tangled poetry.
Finding stillness, even when the world feels wild.
I chose to photograph this street light as an urban sculpture, isolating it against the sky. The minimal composition emphasizes its elegant design, while the warm glow of the lamps creates points of interest in the geometric composition.
In this black-and-white composition, the ropes symbolize the invisible forces that shape and bind our thoughts. Are we held by external hands or by the intricate webs we weave within our own minds?
I have three treasures. Guard and keep them:
The first is deep love,
The second is frugality,
And the third is not to dare to be ahead of the world.
Because of deep love, one is courageous.
Because of frugality, one is generous.
Because of not daring to be ahead of the world, one becomes the leader of the world.
~ Lao Tzu
EN She stands there, straight as a promise,
her feet rooted in the boards that still tremble from the steps of those who came before her.
Around her, darkness is not an absence, but a canvas:
each particle of light sketches a story that only black and white dares to tell.
This is not a dance.
It is an offering.
A silent dialogue between the shadow that embraces her and that determination which never bends.

You must break out of your current comfort zone and become comfortable with the unfamiliar and the unknown.

Happy New Year's Eve my dear flickr family!!
Looking up at this modern facade, I isolated a section where repeated window elements create a striking geometric pattern. The monochromatic treatment and precise composition transform functional architecture into pure abstract form.
Seen through a narrow gap, a corner of Basel appears both close and distant. The view turns ordinary life into a small stage where a man leans against a lamppost, a cyclist passes, and the city unfolds behind a wall.
A minimalist composition exploring the 'quiet as a fish' concept—juxtaposing the stark contrast of a synthetic doll’s pale form with the dark tones of a fish placed diagonally over her eyes. This fine art black-and-white photo reflects themes of alienation, isolation, and the inner struggle to break silence and express individuality.

This photo ended up as 'commended' in the Dgital Camera magazine PotY competition. I really chuffed:)

Using dramatic upward perspective, I transformed this Chabanon tower into a stark study of light and shadow. The black and white treatment emphasizes the repetitive pattern of balconies, creating a visual melody that plays with architectural geometry.
Looking straight up at this urban building, I wanted to capture how modern architecture creates unexpected geometries in our cities. The curved arrangement of windows and structural elements forms an abstract pattern against the dark sky, transforming a familiar urban structure into something more mysterious and compelling. The black and white treatment emphasizes the pure architectural forms and the dramatic interplay of lines and space.
