There is no royal road to anything. One thing at a time, all things in succession. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grows slowly, endures.

And so faith is closing your eyes and following the breath of your soul down to the bottom of life, where existence and nonexistence have merged into irrelevance. All that matters is the little part you play in the vast drama.

When I was a small child, I always wondered why sweepstakes ticket vendors do not become rich. When I saw this old woman in Sto Domingo church in Quezon city, who seem to have made this church door her permanent selling place, the same old nagging questions came back again.

Now I understand their plight better...I hope.>

What though the radiance which was once so bright

Be not forever taken from my sight,

Though nothing can bring back the hour

Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;

Grief not, rather find,

Strength in what remains behind,

In the primal sympathy

Which having been must ever be,

In the soothing thoughts that spring

Out of Human suffering,

In the faith that looks through death

In years that bring philophic mind.

Creative Visions: A Holiday Boutique is a special art exhibition featuring the work of local blind and visually impaired artists was held at Braille Institute in Los Angeles.

Found during the Indios mamam sessions. This guy lingered for a while. He knew I was aiming at him, but I had to wait for the area to be clear of passers by. Shot in mono and sepia filter.

Taken before the Holy Week. The guard asked me if I am a journalist and what paper I work for. The First Family was scheduled to have their Holy Week vacation in the Mansion House. Understanding his job, I just told him photography is just my hobby. He walked away after. In my mind, I said "Good soldier!"
