Taken before the Holy Week. The guard asked me if I am a journalist and what paper I work for. The First Family was scheduled to have their Holy Week vacation in the Mansion House. Understanding his job, I just told him photography is just my hobby. He walked away after. In my mind, I said "Good soldier!"

Silent and still, the lizard watches — a living fossil beneath the tropical sun.
This detailed portrait of a monitor lizard, captured at ZooParc de Beauval, reveals the reptile’s textured armor and unblinking stare. Every scale is a fragment of ancient design, evolved over millions of years, refined by sun and survival.
Shot with a focus on light and texture, the frame isolates the animal in its stillness. Post-processing emphasized the tonal contrast between the clay-colored skin and the soft green bokeh, delivering a naturalistic yet cinematic mood

Hindi mo maitatago ang katotohanan.
Tumingin sa salamin
kung saan ang wangis mo
ay buhay na nakapinta?
ibaling man ang tingin
sa pagbalik mo, mukha mo pa rin ang nakikita.
Mula sa mga lente mo?
Katotohanan ba ang iyong ipinapakita?
Hidden in the embrace of twisted branches, a sharp eye pierces the shadows.
This image captures an arboreal snake in a moment of still vigilance — perfectly blended into its environment, yet emanating a quiet intensity. Shot at ZooParc de Beauval, this scene offered a stunning opportunity to explore light, color, and natural texture within a controlled habitat that remains respectful to the animal’s wild essence.

Another shot of the same statue, but straight-on. Good detail in the folds and expressionless face, though slightly flatter in emotional delivery.

The thought manifests as the word;
The word manifests as the deed;
The deed develops into habit;
And habit hardens into character;
So watch the thought and its ways with care,
And let it spring from love
Born out of concern for all beings…
As the shadow follows the body,
As we think, so we become.
~ Buddha

I am taking a break from my square images and abstractions.
Please take a look at my Mono-logues.
Wisdom and spirit of the Universe!
Thou soul is the eternity of thought!
That giv'st to forms and images a breath
And everlasting motion! Not in vain
By day or star-light thus from by first dawn
Of childhood didst thou intertwine for me
The passions that build up our human soul,
Not with the mean and vulgar works of man,
But with high objects, with enduring things,
With life and nature, purifying thus
The elements of feeling and of thought,
And sanctifying, by such discipline
Both pain and fear, until we recognize
A grandeur in the beatings of the heart.
~ William Wordsworth
Been to Antipolo Church today with Indios friends....I am just so glad to share the beautiful stained glass of the church....This was taken from the choir loft/ mezzanine.
I would still be on the road on Sunday (in a few hours actually). Thanks for visiting my stream...I will see you again here at Flickr when I come back Monday.
