Kindness is not without its rocks ahead. People are apt to put it down to an easy temper and seldom recognize it as the secret striving of a generous nature; whilst, on the other hand, the ill-natured get credit for all the evil they refrain from.

Please don't feel you have to understand, I've added in with the title now ( Abstract Thought & Vision ) : it may be helpful to visualize the white areas on the stones as kindness, and shinning moonlight as a feminine nature of the night, the surrounding areas in darker shades with tthe rain as what's referred to as evil, sometimes masculine, which to some is not evil, just possible desires. However, the rain is joining in union, heaven and earth, man and woman. ( see tags ) It's also known as harmony, when heaven and earth are joining together.
Hope that helps shed some light on " Moon Struck ."

It is the mark of an educated mind to rest satisfied with the degree of precision which the nature of the subject admits and not to seek exactness where only an approximation is possible.

Somewhere between light and darkness, the abyss waits in silence. A descent into the unknown, where stone holds the secrets of the past and shadows swallow everything in their path.
The deeper you look, the darker it becomes. And perhaps, at the very bottom, lies the part of ourselves we are most afraid to face.
Not every abyss has an end. Some are meant to be felt, not understood.

Two visitors occupy the lower center of a vertical field filled with green, pink, blue, and yellow discs. Their pause gives the mirrored chamber a momentary axis, yet repetitions immediately loosen any certainty about which figures are direct and which are reflected. The portrait orientation stretches the room upward, allowing large green forms to act like a canopy while bright volumes press in from both sides. Cropping denies a complete map; the environment continues beyond every edge. At SFMOMA, Kusama’s finite chamber achieves its apparent scale through exact alignments of mirror, light, and moving bodies. The photograph keeps those alignments visible without reducing the work to technique. Human conversation becomes the emotional center of an otherwise unstable interior. Infinity is interpreted here not as solitude, but as a social corridor—a place where two people can meet while countless visual versions of that meeting recede around them.
“No Spaces, No Exit” will be released as a series of scenes on Instagram and YouTube.
Upon completion, the scenes will be compiled into a finished film.

A visitor studies her phone in the foreground while a seemingly endless population of figures and colored discs expands behind her. The photograph uses that small illuminated screen as a quiet counterpoint to Kusama’s total environment: one portable image-maker held inside a room designed to turn everything into images. A green form anchors the lower frame, pink and blue discs build a luminous canopy, and the mirror grid sends bodies along multiple visual routes. Rather than waiting for an empty gallery, the camera accepts congestion as the work’s actual social condition. At SFMOMA, immersion is experienced through photographing as much as through looking. The Hasselblad frame interprets this feedback loop with compositional calm, keeping the foreground figure distinct while letting her reflections dissolve into the crowd. Spectacle and attention occupy the same space, but not always the same direction.
A vibrant, animated mural splashes across the side of a city building, capturing the pulse of the street. Abstract characters and colorful lines dance together in a visual rhythm that feels alive, playful, and uniquely Cleveland. The sidewalk draws the eye into the mural's motion, making the viewer part of the scene.

I know it's really, really early - but I'm thinking that this year, despite my best intentions, I won't fight against the trend of Christmas moving to centre stage at retailers starting in October. So here's my "contribution".
Oh, and it is related to this photo (which I took two years ago) of an "African" Christmas tree made out of beads.

I was thinking about how disjointedly time seemed to flow, passing in a blur at times, with single images standing out more clearly than others. And then, at other times, every second was significant, etched in my mind.

Poor children like them have the streets as their playground and school. Needless to say, they are always on the forefront to beat the odds. PGMA's battlecry to reduce poverty is always an elusive dream. Not unless we take them and their families out of the streets, give them opportunities to grow and prosper, can we say we have won the battle against poverty.
...
With your indulgence, I am posting some of the poignant shots I took on our photowalk last September 13. I cannot help but also advocate for their plight. It is my way of telling the whole world that there are still destitute circumstances like this.
