Have a wonderful Saturday, playing with the string from yesterdays 2020 photo shoot where I pegged my 2020 cut outs, I was winding up the string and made a love heart ~ KissThePixel2020

We ventured out on this wet dull day to do some shopping in Trumansburg. On the way we stopped off at the Falls to walk in nature and take some photos. We are no longer allowed to go down to the balcony due to the wet slippery conditions.

Before Sunrise...

Good Morning... yesterdays Sunrise and some of my woodland captured in a pair of shiny glass balls balancing on a tree stump... nothing much to write other than have a wonderful Wednesday ~ Debbie KissThePixel2020

I'm off the Edinburgh tomorrow, my lovely Son is taking me for lunch (a mother and son day) and so he thought he'd fly me to Edinburgh as a surprise, there and back in a day, as he's back at work early Friday morning, so lots of whisky and a visit to Edinburgh Castle, I know I did good when you get a wonderful surprise like that..... I'll catch up your wonderful images over the weekend, see you soon :)))

Happy International Women's Day

Have a great day Flickr Friends, when walking Mabel yesterday I came across this dramatic Iron Fence in our village and took two images... one with the composition and focus on the fence with the camera pointing up the street into the distance creating beautiful bokeh from the sunlight with my Nikkor 1.2 50mm lens on my NikonDF and the other image facing the cottages red brick wall with a fabulous shadow from the sun. I liked both images equally so have shared both, have a wonderful day and a Happy Fence Friday everyone

Meeting the challenge of the Compositionally Challenged Group–Week 10: Windows and Doors

I have to tell you this wonderful circle Bokeh was created accidentally and also on purpose by finding the 'sweet spot' in my woodland, the light was pouring through the leaves on the trees and it made the most wonderful bokeh circles.. I literally put this toy bike on a branch mainly to do a perspective image and as I aimed my Helios lens the bokeh was outstanding, in the end I liked this image mainly for the beautiful bokeh and gorgeous light, I could maybe have done something further with the composition but I liked it as it was, so here it is :) have a lovely evening ( its evening here in England ) ~ KissThePixel2019

Me, just getting inspirational again.

It's been a while since I got camera happy, so, I may over share a few other 'heart' images.. finding my 'photography mojo'

Wishing you all a lovely day

Playing with 'flat lay' again...

Not sure if I got this, 'flat lay' and 'high key' together and trying to keep the shapes of my wooden snowflakes visible..., your opinions greatly received...

on a sunlit street canvas, a woman dressed in vibrant echoes walks through a world of laughter and paint. her stride weaves seamlessly into the pulse of the wall, where arrows point not just forward, but into a moment suspended between color and motion.

Creative framing of three colorful recreational kayaks. Canoeing and kayaking are low impact activities that can improve your aerobic fitness, strength and flexibility.

Kayaking allows you to explore hidden waterways and cover greater distances. Recreational kayaks are normally 9-13 feet long. In an open-cockpit kayak you're sitting lower in the boat and your center of gravity is at the level of the water.

Sit-inside or sit-in kayak are warmer and drier to paddle in cool weather or on cold water.

A fantastic way to get out on the water. Shot from Dahab lighthouse seashore.

“Muscle pain is temporary. Hiking memories last for a lifetime.” - Hike Country.

These delightful wooden figures were made by my brother-in-law who gave them to us as a Christmas gift this year. I love them! I set up a page from an old Bruce Trail calendar as a backdrop and took this picture to show off the hikers. Hiking is one of our passions and I feel lucky to have a fantastic hiking buddy and thoughtful family and friends.

Artistic framing of a perfect reflective symmetry.

Symmetry is nature's artwork that creates harmony and balance.

The search for symmetry, and the emotional pleasure we derive when we find it, must help us make sense of the world around us, just as we find satisfaction in the repetition of the seasons and the reliability of friendships.

Merry Christmas Eve...

Presents are wrapped, the food is prepared for tomorrow, friends are coming and going, some glasses of bubbly with home made mince pies and cheese biscuits, hoping to hear Rudolph land on my roof tonight... Debbie ~ KissThePixel2019

Feeling inspirational and seeing 'paperclip' people before in still life photography, I thought I'd bring a version of my own 'paperclip' folk sharing a little love in our photo streams :)) And yes, I spent yesterday afternoon with a hubby's pliers, a few paperclips and my Julia Childs French Cook Book, Happy Saturday Flickr Folk ~ KissThePixel2019

I was playing yesterday with the bokeh from my tress and flowers. I bought these tiny micro silver pegs for a creative moment, well a few creative moments hopefully.

Have a lovely afternoon, keep cool and get creative.

Thank you for all the lovely comments and kindness

I have to be honest and say that over the past few weeks the light, in the late afternoon, has been wonderful ~ might be something to do with the fact there is less pollution in the air .... I won't thank COVID for that but that might just be the reason!!

I like the composition of my photo with these lovely clouds sitting above Ailsa Craig!

I was lucky enough to get six eggs today... lunch is on me folks...

Funny how the most simple of food is now so rare and such a treat.

I said to my boys 'homemade cake or poached egg on toast'...

The humble egg will never be taken for granted ever again...

As our lives change in directions we never thought possible, as our lives and families, society and the economy hang in the balance, as everything we once knew has changed irreparably, know one thing, that nature always leads the way and it's still tipping the scales towards positivity and we always follow not far behind ~ KissThePixel2020

I'm trying to find creativity and hope in my ever decreasing world of tighter boundaries. I'm trying to make and create images that bring something pretty and hopeful to the photo feed and wishing you all safety and sanity at this time.

Keep Smiling, keep photographing, keep creating your beautiful images.

Taking some Christmas magic and sharing...

The light was so beautiful, it was not long after midday and the Winter December Sun was shining perfectly through my woodland and creating perfectly long shadows in my garden, I always knew hubby would come in 'handy' to help with a creative photography shoot, Happy Tuesday everyone ~ Debbie, KissThePixel2019

I invite you to visit all my photo-gallery. Thanks

I guess the chances of finding these two together is pretty unlikely... so, I made it happen.. I love collecting miniatures for photography and I love my little porcelain mushroom with my real lifel wild Crocus. Just a little creativity this Friday....

Our Daily Challenge ... a little bit of shine

The Flickr Lounge ... Week 10 ... Weekly Theme ... Creative Composition

High angle framing of mixed colorful pebbles during low tide.

I baked Cheese and Ham Doggy Biscuits for Daisy Bear.

Doing this shoot was so funny, she watched me 'make and bake' these biscuits the whole time in the kitchen sitting right by my legs, somehow she seemed to know I was making something for her. Dogs still always amaze me at the things they know. I then had to photograph them.... the funny outtakes, I wish I could share them all, I may share one so as not fill your feed with dog images, it really was a case of 'Daisy! Sit!, Wait! Noooo! you can have one, just let me take a photo, Daisy! No! oh go on then' and in that split second she grabbed one and ran to her basket. This had gone on for a good 10 minutes getting her to sit. This was actually the cutest image and it was the first image, always the way, its the one where she came up to see what was going on as I was setting up the biscuits to photograph.

Cheese and Ham Dog Biscuit Recipe:

200g of plain or wholemeal flour

1 egg

Ham stock cube using only 115ml of water mixed with the cube or your dough will be too loose.

60g of grated cheese

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl, add more water or flour until you get the correct consistency, use Doggy cutters and bake for approximately 15 minutes at 160 degrees in a fan oven

Have a great Monday ~ Debbie, KissThePixel2019

Bidding you all a lovely goodnight from my little woodland here at Long Acre Manor 🌲🌳 I'm sitting rather precariously on the edge of my fence looking out at the heath land and further woodland watching the Sun start to set with a gorgeous orange glow. The trees are starting to bloom bright green leaves, there's blossom, I have a tiny white dog staring up at me wagging her tail asking for her dinner and I'm looking at this rather lush glass of Rose Wine 🍷 ...

"Pencils work best in a skilled hand."

Artistic framing of mixed wooden souvenirs and handicrafts exhibited in sand. Spot the pencil fixed in the hand of a statue.

Serving as a vessel of imagination, a pencil symbolizes creativity, potential, and learning.

Shot from Aswan west bank

A new adventure is calling and I must go.

A striking vertical shot looking out from a narrow crevice between two large, textured rock formations, with a focus on the interplay of light, shadow, and scale.

The rocks, which are in shadow, frame a bright, sunlit view. A clear blue sky is visible at the top, where a bird is flying high in the sky adding a dynamic element and further emphasizing the immense scale of the rock formations.

The strong backlight from the sun creates a high-contrast scene with deep shadows on the foreground rocks and a bright, almost washed-out.

The two large rock formations on the left and right act as natural frames, drawing the viewer's eye toward the bright opening in the center. This creates a sense of depth and scale, making the passage feel monumental.

The intense brightness of the sky and the water in the distance creates a sense of openness beyond the confined space of the gorge.

The combination of the confined space, the dramatic lighting, and the vast, bright opening suggests a mood of discovery or a journey from darkness into light. The photograph evokes a feeling of being small in the face of nature's grandeur.

Pine Creek Falls is one of many waterfalls in the Knobs Region of Kentucky, a horseshoe-shaped wall of steep knobs that buffers the undulating grass hills of the Bluegrass Region, famous for its horse farms. Just a few miles away from here in this eastern section of the unique Knobs Region of Kentucky, a mountainous Appalachian Plateau Region emerges with its ancient but vivacious beauty. But that is another story and image for another day.
