Galgebakken er en liten gate på Nordnes i bydel Bergenhus i Bergen. Den går fra Strangehagen til Haugeveien, og har tre husnumre. Navnet kommer av at det fra 1500-tallet av var rettersted her, med galge (til 1830-åra) gapestokk og kak.

LOS ALAMITOS - A public memorial service and celebration of life was held for Los Angeles Fire Department Firefighter Kenneth Brink at Cottonwood Church in Los Alamitos, California on November 18, 2022. Brink, a beloved 15 year veteran of the Department assigned to Fire Station 88 in Sherman Oaks, died unexpectedly while off-duty and at home on November 9, 2022.

Old-growth hemlocks, McKean County, within the Tionesta Scenic Area of Allegheny National Forest.
The Tionesta Scenic and Research Natural Areas encompass 4000-plus acres of old-growth forest. The forest is magnificent; however, the combined effects of beech bark disease and weather disturbances (particularly the May 31, 1985, tornado outbreak) have greatly opened the forest canopy.

The monastery stairwell has a cross with a skull (Gûlgaltâ in Aramaic) on its base. The religious meaning of the skull and the crossed bones has faded as time has passed.
