« Stop Urgence! » Il y a urgence à ralentir ; à suspendre le temps pour réfléchir à l’avenir, à une nouvelle vie, à un nouveau monde, à une nouvelle façon de travailler ainsi que de consommer; à reprendre sa vie en main et à lui donner un autre sens. Bref, faire un reset.
Alors, marque une pause et assieds-toi! Nous avons imaginé un détournement de ce bouton-poussoir « Stop Urgence ! », connu dans le monde entier. Le public est invité à appuyer sur le bouton ou à profiter du camion comme aire de jeu et de détente. Commissaire : Art Souterrain
Biographie - « Les Niveaux » :
Les Nivaux est un couple d’artistes.
Pascale, diplômée de l’École des beaux-arts de Caen, remet en question la notion de nature et de culture dans ses œuvres.
Thierry, diplômé de l’École nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière à Paris et de l’Université Paris VIII, s’investit dans la photographie conceptuelle, l’art vidéo, les performances et les installations photographiques.
Ils ont mis en commun leurs expressions plastiques autour d’un outil : le scanner. Ils voyagent à travers le monde avec leur camion transformé en studio numérique. Ils ont notamment participé deux fois à la Nuit blanche de Paris.

Parc René-Lévesque, Musée plein-air de Lachine
De retour sur les lieux de son enfance, sur la rue Roberval à Côte-Saint-Paul, LeBlanc découvre que ce quartier a subi d'importantes transformations depuis son départ en 1959. La fermeture du canal de Lachine a entraîné le déclin des activités industrielles de ce secteur et la maison où il est né et a passé son enfance, a été démolie pour faire place à une voie rapide surélevée, l'échangeur Turcot. Plus que la simple commémoration d'un souvenir personnel, cette œuvre pointe les trous de mémoire de l'histoire où s'engouffrent les lieux des petites gens. Elle parle de l'oubli et de la destrcution qui guettent leur milieu de vie. Au-delà de la valeur matérielle de ce patrimoine bâti, il pointe l'écart existant entre le sort réservé aux quartiers des villes selon le statut de ses résidents. Deux éléments sont non urbains, une rame qui souligne les origines familiales de l'artiste (Îles-de-la-Madeleine) et une pierre au sommet d'une colonne, qui rappelle non seulement les origines de l'homme à l'âge de pierre, mais aussi son lieu de résidence et d'appartenance depuis plus de vingt-cinq ans, les Laurentides.
L'œuvre a été réalisée pour le premier Salon international de sculpture extérieure de Montréal (SISEM), qui se tenait du 9 juillet au 7 septembre 1992, dont la thématique était «Aux quatre vents», dans le cadre des célébrations du 350e anniversaire de la fondation de Montréal.

Artiste plasticienne française pour qui l'art construit notre conscience du monde et de notre identité. Elle travaille essentiellement autour de la notion d'expérience de vie. On retrouve ses oeuvres entre autres à Paris, à Londres et à Montréal.
DÉMARCHE DU PROJET
Il y a dans une bulle quelque chose d'intime. Cette enveloppe dans laquelle chaque être a été conçu devient symboliquement un endroit dans lequel on s'enferme pour se ressourcer. Synonyme de jeu lorsque l'on est enfant, elle évoluera vers une symbolique de maternité et de protection à l'âge adulte. Une poésie sensible, qui se voudrait un ralentissement métaphorique du parcours de l'individu, nous suggérant de prendre le temps de nous remplir de la sensibilité de chaque chose, plutôt que de la laisser mourir derrière nous.

This is one of only two known tunnels on the island. The other is buried under 20 feet of rubble, apparently, and there are no ways into it unless an entrance is dug, which likely won't happen due to red tape.

These are "light paintings", made with the camera at low light setting, so a long shutter speed with movement creates all sorts of cool patterns. Most of the ones in this set were done the night we went driving around town looking at Christmas lights. I've already uploaded the set of "normal" Christmas light pictures. For me these are actually way more fun! I'm setting all of them as creative commons, they are VERY fun to play with. Some of my abstract or altered images started as light paintings, maybe combining aspects of several. If you use any of these a credit and a link back would be great. And if you could post your new image under the one you used, in the comments, that would be way fun!
I do these on the highway at night too (as a passenger of course!) They're a great way to pass the time and some of them turn out quite fun.
