Visited 2 exhibitions on Sun - sketches from the international edition of Bandung Sketchwalk and the showcase by ITB's design students. Inspiring creativity.
Beautiful sketches.
I don't know what it is with me and crooked backgrounds! Too snap happy, I guess, but I like his shadow in this one! Maybe we could just call it creative angling! Yeah, that's it!
Romeo and I went to Virginia for the weekend to visit my parents and see the leaves and go to my favorite pumpkin patch. We stopped there once 6 years ago, and all I could remember was that it was somewhere between my hometown of Lynchburg and Charlottesville and that it was on a hill and had a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We got all the way to Charlottesville, but still no pumpkin patch, and I was getting really disappointed. My mom kept talking about where to turn to go drive on the Skyline Drive, but I wasn't ready to give up. She said that she needed to stop and that there was a Sheetz gas station just ahead, and lo and behold, there beside it was my pumpkin patch! And it was close to the "magic hour" near sunset when the light is supposed to be just right. The leaves hadn't changed color very much because it has been so warm, and many of the leaves are expected to turn brown and drop off because of the drought. Romeo ~ 10/20/07 ~ 11 1/2 months old

Well not really... but this little interruption to the Wakefield shots.. is for our little flickr groups homework.. we had to take a creative reflection shot... this might not be that creative but it was different..
This was on our annual weekend fishing trip with some buds on a houseboat on the glorious Hawkesbury river, just north of Sydney, Australia...
It absolutely pissed down on Friday night... which dampened our spirits somewhat... but the next day I went exploring with my kayaks along some of the minor streams and found some great waterfalls discharging there load into the sea... these shots will be liberated soon...
This area is in Ku-ring-gai National park, so while close to Sydney and the waters edge, still very remote and only readily accessible from the ocean..
So this then is my feeble reflection.. a tick on remoteness, but a cross on creativity.. oh well...
I shall return with shots of the falls soon...
ISO 500, 19mm, f/2.8, 1/320sec, hand held on kayak, raw
I kept having a problem of the iPad slipping out of my hands. Hard to hold onto. Then I remembered an old worn out phone case that I hadn't thrown away yet. So I repurposed it by cutting the case into quarters, then taping the pieces into the corners. Problem solved!

Week 1 of Design and Studio Practice - ideas, creativity and communication
OK so it didn't really look like that - occasionally I just love playing with the curves adjustments on my images and as a general rule I'll pull the curves all over the place to learn a little about what they do.
Well I was doing precisely that right here and.. thought that I'd share an in process shot as a finished result. You guys will vote with your clicks ;-)
Keep shooting!
P>s. regardless of the colours it was a pretty awesome cloud bank!
