Winning entry for my club's "Creative" competition - thanks to my daughter who got just the right expression etc, I think.
This is my fake cactus Geocache! I'm pretty proud of it. It's full of rocks so it won't blow away... and I'll be placing it in a sandy location to hide the base ;-)
Even the ratty IKEA tree decoration was picked for the tree this year! :)
Happy Holiday Season (which I officially started last week :D)

I feel comfortable expressing myself through music. When my brother died it was the only way I could freely express my feelings, partly as I was unable to articulate them ... for me, music is like vinyl's analogue to mp3's digital (music as opposed to articulating something through words, for example). It fills in the gaps that are otherwise inexpressible, the bits that we don't even know are there. This is a mini-clarinet ... I play the oboe (the saddest instrument in my view, but fun to make it sound joyful!!) .... but I am also learning to play the clarinet ... the most joyful of the wind instruments and therefore fun to play and make it sound sad! :-)
