I joined a group of talented local photographers for a day at White Canyon earlier this year, during the brief wildflower season. Shortly after I arrived, an eastbound CP grain empty announced its imminent arrival, and the group scattered around the hillside, having pre-scouted their next composition of choice. Nothing jumped out at me as a compelling angle, but one of the guys pointed out a natural 'frame' shooting through a fallen fire damaged tree. This isn't a typical shot for me, but I'm quite pleased with the result, and the guidance to get a shot outside my norm.

I've been spending many, many lockdown evenings reading a 1500-page biography about this fascinating and unique rock band. During this time, "Who Are You" has become my favourite Who album. - 20 years ago I didn't like it very much. Now I find the songs and their lyrics very fascinating. And many lines from "Guitar and Pen" remind me what's missing during these lockdown days: inspirational, creative moments that happen between human beings. A Zoom conference can definitely not provide or replace that.

I was reading this week's theme for the Macro mondays group, it was about single use items, I saw some examples and this one fit perfectly with what I like to do, so, I couldn't resist! I bought plastic straws so I could make this, so we'll have some of them for a while.....😄

There are too many marvelous things in creation! In the entirety of my lifetime, I could never run out of God’s creation to explore! God created so many magnificent things that it is hard for our minds to begin to comprehend them. I am so thankful that I have had the honor to witness and share so many of them with you! This one is from Colorado National Monument on the last day of 2024 at sunrise. It was such a special moment to watch the warm sunlight hit the rock formations creating a wonderful red and orange glow.
Some trees just stand out and this one did. The morning frost and a little creative make a good pair
Had a go at some creative flower photography in the garden. Next day the rain and wind had wiped them out so no chance of a reshoot!

Saturday Self-Challenge-Seasonal
This is one of the beautiful Christmas decoration my daughter and granddaughter gave me for Christmas.
Some houses at Spalding, I found the nearest semi-detached houses quite interesting. They share a roof but one neighbour has tiles, the other slates, etc. There's a good bricked-up gateway as well at the start of the row.

it is a nice place to sit & enjoy the surrounding & environment. but I took a challenge to click this wonderful mist covered environment.
during 1980s one cinephotographer in tamil flims Balumahendra filmed such scenes in his movies & motivated many &i dedicate this image to him . I am satisfied with the outcome of this image.
