This might just be my new favourite photograph of my gorgeous baby daughter. Her first visit to The Howff, an ancient cemetery in the centre of the city of Dundee in Scotland. A place of great peace and solitude - May 2014
for Picture Summer
...and now I've got the song "Summer in Dublin" (anyone remember Bagatelle?!) on a loop for the rest of the day...!
Book seven of The 25 Book Challenge for 2010.
The Scarlet Letter. I don't think I need to go into anything on this book as it's a classic.

The last of the candy canes. They were thrown on the kitchen counter and landed like this so I picked them up and decided they would make a cute picture. One of them is broke. Who knows how to mend a broken heart?
And this sign, symbol, design...or whatever you'd like to call it, it's my most favorite in all the world. The sign of love.
...looks like its been abandoned. I like it. That chair is going to make me some money. :) I need to make another trip to Montana to find some more treasures. I brought one home with me, there's bound to be more.
I like this one with the black and white and the mountains in the background. I was looking through what I have and I have several more from this set to post. I had noted that I had one more, but I was mistaken. :) Be patient, I will get them listed.
<3, goodness, I love them. I miss them terribly. I dislike being here alone, especially with the Holidays coming up. LOL, look at his cheesy grin. :)
I have a photo shoot tomorrow. Wish me luck on capturing some memories for this new, adorable family.
I took a lot of them and don't want/need to share them all with you so I have just been posting a few here and there. This is another of their set. I like the big train tires. This was taken with my fish eye lens.
Back in April I took a ride on the Heber Creeper and fired off some shots. I think I got some good ones. I will be uploading some of those in between this and the Senior Cotillion. I only wish those people weren't at the end, but oh well, what can you do?
I just shot some pictures of this adorable little girl yesterday. To see more, go to www.creatingmemoriesbytheresa.blogspot.com/
I was thinking about the days when I was in elementary and I don't remember a whole lot about it, but the great thing is that I get to re-live it through my kids. Some of the moments I'd rather not re-live such as a first heartache and wanting to fiercly protect my child from it...knowing I can't and it's something that has to be gone through.

From my trip on the Heber Creeper. I have one more from this set to post and I will do so within the next day or so.
It was such a beautiful afternoon, that I decided to have the girls bring out blankets and pillows so we could do homeschooling outside.
After a week of 90+ degree temperatures with high humidity, today's temperature in the upper 70s with a nice wind from the northwest felt so refreshing.
Reading out loud, language arts, map skills, and spelling were so enjoyable - especially when you could listen to the birds singing in the trees and the clouds moving overhead.
Another couple that was with my sons group for the senior cotillion. They were my last couple to photograph for the evening so we got the sunset.
Some one has strapped Kyle down on the train tracks...doesn't look like his dad and sister are going to help him up.
LOL, good times.

There it sits, all alone. Ever feel like you're the only one out there in this big ole' world? I'm sure that's how this bench felt. Waiting for someone to sit with him for a while. And it wasn't going to be me. It was surrounded by snow.
Shot from inside the Heber Creeper. This has window glare, but I still thought it pretty enough to share. It was cold outside so I shot most of my photos indoors, but I do have a few that were from being outside for a few seconds. Will post more later.
This is another shot from my Montana series. I got rather lucky to be able to get this fella. There were lots of people trying to get a picture of him and I ran back to the car to switch out my lens and took out big daddy. One shot and I got this, then he moved along. Whew!!! Luck. I just don't like that I'm missing one foot. :(
This is book five for the year so far.
From the back of the book:
A major new international voice debuts with a sweeping story of love, friendship, and family ties that brings to life the turbulent world of modern Pakistan. The unforgettable story of a fatherless boy growing up in a household of outspoken women, The Wish Maker is also a tale of sacrifice, betrayal, and indestructible friendship. Zaki Shirazi and his female cousin Samar Api were raised to consider themselves "part of the same litter." Together they watched American television and memorized dialogue from Bollywood movies, attended dangerous protests, and formed secret friendships. In a household run by Zaki's crusading political journalist mother and iron-willed grandmother, it was impossible to imagine a future that could hold anything different for either of them. But adolescence approaches and the cousins' fates diverge. Samar's unconventional behavior - in which Zaki has played the rold of devoted helper - brings severe consequences for her, while Zaki is sent out to discover the world for himself. It is only after years of separation from Samar that he is forced to confront the true nature of happiness, selfhood, and commitment to those he loves most. Chronicling world-changing events that have never been so intimately observed in fiction and brimming with unmistakable warmth and humor, The Wish Maker is the powerful account of a family and an era, a story that shows how, even in the most rapidly shifting circumstances, there are bonds that survive the tugs of convention, time, and history.
Okay, this book took me months to read. It just didn't capture my attention. I was glad it was done. :)
This is the place that I got the chair that I've been using in my shots of my daughter. This was on the front lawn of the antique store in Somers, Montana. They had this cute rusted tricycle that I wanted but the owner said it was part of his collection. I was so disappointed. However, I walked away with my chair and I love it.
This is one of my favorite photos of the little darling. I delivered their photos to them tonight. They were thrilled with what they've seen and will refer people my way. :) Good for everyone involved. They got photos and I can get more business.
was brought to you by Andy's. It's this little hole in the wall place but boy do they have some delicious food. Actually, this all I've ever tried there and I couldn't even tell you what else they have on the menu. I know what I want each and every time, so I'm good to go. And eating out with me and the kids is pricey with only my income, so this was a treat for us.

Montana Bokeh. I love this picture. That's snow back there on the mountains, on the weekend of the fourth of July.

Where does this stairway lead? Where ever you want it to...Well not exactly, it didn't lead me to no snow, but it did go up somewhere. I didn't venture up it because I saw snow up there.

A different view of the skateboard park. Boys and girls were there skateboarding. I'm sad to say that I don't have the balance and would not be able to even attempt to try this. Looks like fun though.

I had the privilege of seeing the temptations in concert and they were fabulous. This is the Utah Symphony that got the concert started.
This is polywogy69's son. He asked me if I would take some photos of them and of course I said yes. I got a ton of them. To see the rest go here. You'll get a laugh for sure.
This is a cute little series, makes one chuckle.

It started getting cold out so this is the last of the uploads of the houses in Hemisfair park.
This is my book 3 for The 25 Book Challenge for 2010
I would write what is on the back of the book but it's already on it's way to a new home. My synopsis of the story is this:
A young girl is raised by her dad, since her mother leaves her at the age of five. When she's in high school, she falls in love with a boy. They get pregnant. She has an abortion. She leaves her dad and her home town. Meets a man, marries him and has a baby. He's a cardiac surgeon and neither one of them know how to tend to a baby. When the baby is 3 months old, she leaves her husband and baby. She starts a hunt for her mother. She thinks that she's like her mother because she's abandoned her husband and baby. Does she go back? Does she stay married? Why did she leave?
I liked the book, okay. Not one of my favorites of her, but it was good enough to get through.
