This was taken back in August, I think. It was a trip to Lava Hot Springs, in Idaho.

I thought this was pretty cool. It's at the entrance of a store, on the floor, in New Orleans.

I got some pretty good shots of one of the burial sites there. Some have been there so long that they look like this.

She lives in Germany with her mom, so she doesn't get to see her daddy too often. This is one of the first pictures I fired off, in fact, I do believe it was the second picture I took.

Jazmine and Emma got along perfectly. I will post a few of them together, later on.

I was trying to catch this photo without them seeing me but the girl one of these caught me and had the boy one look at me. So he made this face while she sat there and smiled. I was sure they were going to ask me for money. Everyone there does something for a tip.

Do you remember where you were when you got the news that we were being attacked?

I was at work on the phone with a taxpayer when a co-worker came running down the hall yelling "terroist attack". Then my taxpayer confirmed it over the phone with me that we were indeed being attacked. We ended our call and everyone ran into a media room and the news was already on. We sat and watched the second plane go into the building. We sat and watched the tower's crumble. We never get released for work, but we did that day and it took longer to get home that day, than any other...everyone was anxious to be home with their families to share the turmoil that our great country was undergoing.

Tell me where you were on that dreadful day.

Book six of 2010 for The 25 Book Challenge for 2010.

From the back of the book:

With her shopping excesses (somewhat) in check and her career as a TV financial guru thriving. Becky's biggest problem seems to be tearing her entrepreneur boyfriend, Luke, away from work for a romantic country weekend. And worse, figuring out how to "pack light." But packing takes on a whole new meaning when Luke announces he's moving to New York for business - and he asks Becky to go with him! Before you can say "Prada sample sale," Becky has landed in the Big Apple, home of Park Avenue penthouses and luxury department stores. Surely it's only a matter of time until she becomes an American TV celebrity, and she and Luke are the toast of Gotham society. Nothing can stand in their way, especially with Becky's bills miles away in London. But then an unexpected disaster threatens her career prospects, her relationship with Luke, and her available credit line! Shopaholic Takes Manhattan-but will she have to return it?

This was a good book for me. It's a book two of a series. This was a quick two day read for me. Next book will be something from my Kindle. Not sure which yet but you'll see when I've finished it.

I threw this corned beef into the crockpot yesterday so it's nice and tender, just falling apart. I went to the store to buy some bread and cheese to make a sandwich that I have been wanting so badly. It was worth the wait.

I didn't have the kids this weekend and it was the first day of Spring so I figured I may as well go out and see what I can find to shoot. I thought this came out well. I don't like the "stuff" under the mountains where the buses pull in but I wanted the Mountain in it.

BTW, this is a snow plow for the tracks.

This was on Sunday, on my way to church. I didn't want to have to worry about another shot later in the day. I'm trying to get back into the habit of picking up my camera, be patient with me. At least I'm shooting daily, even if its with my phone. ;)

These are books eight and nine of The 25 book challenge for 2010.

I have not read a Jodi book that I haven't liked. Nineteen minutes is about a young boy who is bullied his whole life. He gets so tired of it and goes to school one day and starts shooting. The story talks about how the parents of the victims feel as well as the parents of the boy doing the shooting. Lacy Houghton was a mid-wife and brought life into the world. Her son, Peter, did the opposite. Peter was a victim of perpetual bullying from a very early age, indeed from kindergarten through to high school. One day he just snapped and he walked into high school with guns instead of books. The results were horrific.

In Cold Blood is based on a true story of some killings that happened. Two men were in prison together and overheard someone speaking of this family who "had lots of money", so when they got out of prison, they found this family and murdered them. The family didn't have "lots of money". The crime was brutal and horrific.

I liked both books, I like to read true stories.

Remember my demon kitty? Well here she is, still alive and kicking. She's still a brat but she's getting better. My dog, Harley, is really good with her. When Sandee is being a brat I tell Harley, "git her" and she will chase her around and wrestle her down. Then they play until they are both tired which makes it all better for me.
