I really didn't take a picture today, or at least the way I have been for this project. Typically in my day I take pictures at robotics (I'm photography lead) and I also take a separate set of photos somewhere else in the day to use in my project. Today, I totally forgot about it until 12:30. Eh, what can you do :)

The Aradia logo variations set.
Seattle-based artist Aradia is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, arriving at a sound best described as Roktronika. Reminiscent of artists from Goldfrapp to Blondie, from Bjork to Joan Jett, Aradia blends rock, electronic, and world music to ultimately create a particularly defined flavor of pop music. Her songs have rich rhythmic textures, provoking lyrics and distinct sounds that race across a spectrum of genres. Think Wood Nymph meets Sci-fi warrior; Superhero do-gooder meets space villainess. Aradia is a Roktronik Sci-Fi adventure of Sense and Sound.”

Our History
The Columbia River Gorge draws visitors from all over the world with its commanding vistas, abundant wildlife, and majestic forests. The towering cliffs that form the Gorge create the backdrop for the Magnificent Multnomah Falls.
This natural wonder attracts approximately 2.5 million visitors per year, ranking Multnomah Falls as Oregon’s number 1 visited natural attraction.
Multnomah Falls plummets 620 feet in two major steps. The upper fall plunging 542 feet the lower fall 69 feet distinguishing Multnomah Falls as the highest waterfall in the state of Oregon and second highest in the nation.
The water flowing over Multnomah Falls water is supplied by natural underground springs that originate on Larch Mountain. In springtime, snowmelt additionally supplies the falls, greatly increasing the flow, width and intensity of the falls’ powerful roaring sound.
Lumber baron and philanthropist, Simon Benson donated the land that the falls sat upon, and funding for construction of the Benson Bridge. The bridge, constructed in 1914, allows visitors to cross over the lower falls and continue their paved trail journey to the viewing platform at the top. The platform offers dynamic views of the waterfall, Multnomah Falls Lodge, grounds, and the Columbia River Gorge. Benson also donated additional land that included Wahkeena Falls to the West. The Washington Railroad and Navigation Company donated the property for the lodge to the City of Portland, which was the forerunner of the Union Pacific Railroad. The property was donated with the agreement that The City of Portland would fund the construction of the Lodge
Multnomah Falls Park was dedicated in 1915, and the Multnomah Falls Lodge was completed in 1925. Noted Portland architect Albert E. Doyle designed the historic lodge. Mr. Doyle, well known for his designs of the US Bank, Meier and Frank, Lippman Wolfe, and Reed College buildings in Portland. The Shattuck Company at a cost of $40,000 constructed the Cascadian style stone and timber building. The Historic Lodge now houses The Multnomah Falls Lodge Restaurant, Gift Shop, Snack Bar, Espresso Bar and Interpretive Center.
The first concessionaire of the lodge was Rolla Simmons, who operated the Simmons Hillvilla restaurant in Portland. Simmons operated the food services at the lodge until November of 1942, at which time the lodge was closed for the duration of World War II. The lodge was reopened in February of 1946 under new management. The ownership of the lodge transferred to the US Forest Service in 1939, and is currently operated by the Multnomah Falls Co

The prompt for this layout was to include a handprint, I chose to use Dylan's rather than my own. I also asked him to draw me a picture that morning, to include on the page. The die cut flowers also include some of his handy work!

We’re creating a Haunted House with lower-school students in our Maker Art class at the Lycée Français this fall.
In this after-school workshop, students are building a fantasy world together, with magical creatures, ghosts, witches and other animated characters inspired by Halloween.
We are combining arts and technology to bring their creations to life: each student will have their own room in our haunted house, and they will learn to build simple robots with motors and Arduino, then play with lights and sounds to tell their stories for our ‘show and tell’.
For our first class, we invited students to plan their Haunted House together, then design their rooms and characters, to be featured inside their cardboard ‘wonderboxes.’ My associate Sarah Brewer showed them how to create their own electronic circuit to light up an LED, using copper tape to connect the LED to the battery.
We teach this class to students in grades 4 and 5 at the Lycée Français in Sausalito, every Thursday at 3:30pm, from September 15 to December 15, 2016.

Terms and Conditions
Drawings are performed on each of the days corresponding to the region name by random number generator.
Entry is open until the morning of the day of the drawing for each region.
Regions are priced at $30 per month for one year (12 billing periods) and revert to the price of a normal region, according to pricing for for regions at that time, when the one year period ends.
You must be a resident of Avination to participate. If you are not a resident, you must join and log into the website.
By entering a drawing for a sim, you are committing to rent this sim at $30 per month.
On Christmas day, one name will be drawn from the sum of all entrants for all of these sims. This drawing will be performed before the drawing for "Partridge". The winner of this drawing will receive one region free for one year. At the end of the year, that region will revert to the price of a normal region at the time. The name drawn for the free region is removed from the list of entrants for all other regions. These drawings may be re-entered.
Regions may not be renamed or moved until January 7th, 2010.
Special pricing is void when the region is transferred.

Real time expression analysis of the Arabidopsis ASK gene family. A; RNA from the indicated organs was isolated and used to assess ASK gene expression as described in the methods. Organs examined were 4–5-day-old seedlings, stage 5 leaves, green stem, green siliques, stage 9 flowers, and stage 15 flowers. Gene expression is depicted in MNE units ± SE after ACTIN2 normalization. Data are means of two independent biological repetitions ± SE.
