I'm told this line of trees along Grant Ave is where the old trolley line used to run. If I really wanted to get picky (and I had the time), I'd go back and photoshop out the walking path and street on the left edge. I just want to see grass, trees and sky in this picture. Love the green! OH! This is one of my first ever pics I took w/three exposures (used shutter bracketing in camera), worked on CS6 beta w/"Merge to HDR". I like this feature, but am going to buy Photomax and compare the two. Right now I just feel that CS6's HDR rendering takes FOREVER and doesn't have many options for tweaking the photos after rendering.
In 1934 the KLM DC2 Uiver (PH-AJU) participated in an air race between Mildenhall UK and Melbourne. The plane got lost over Albury NSW. Landed on a race course illuminated by car lights. The NSW town of Albury remembers this event with a memorial at the renovated airport cafe. They had a replica "Uiver" in the airport forecourt until 2008. That replica now is "moored" in a corner of the airfield, together with the Piper Navajo that followed it 50 years later.

This was the first course of the Meat Tasting menu ($45)
Roasted heirloom carrot (par-boiled then roasted) on whipped yogurt with marinated carrots dressed in vinaigrette and streaks of watercress vinegar. The meaty root vegetable is topped with a rainbow of thinly sliced persimmons, nasturtiums, purslanes and nutty puffed wheatberries.However it was the few curls of grilled beef tongue that really caught my attention - so tender and full of deep meaty richness. They were really quite excellent.
Light yet meaty and quite substantial/relatively hearty - great shared. I was surprised by the generous portion despite the fact that it is a carrot) although I'm not complaining. Very nice.
No not the State rather the "so far away it's almost in Oklahoma" description that stuck for a section of the Saratogs Race Course tract of lands. It's past "Horse Haven" and across the street from the Saratoga Race Course. This is one of the stabling and largely the training section at the Spa
