PERSONAL FUN FACT: My dad's friend Steve found this Cooking Center, our Mini Mart, and our third Camp Barbie at a yard sale. He grabbed all three items, knowing that my sister and I are huge doll collectors. This was sometime in 2011 or 2012. When we saw him a few months later, he gave us the gifts, which totally floored us! We greatly appreciated his kindness--words really can't express how grateful we are, even to this day. The Cooking Center and the Mini Mart were still fully sealed in their boxes. They smelled very moldy though, even after I washed everything. Of course, they weren't as rank as Camp Barbie. She had mold all over her legs and body...and was quite stinky for a few years (even after many baths). I know for a fact that Colleen and I would have adored this stove when we were younger because making our dolls cook was one of our favorite pastimes! It was one of those simple separately sold kitchen appliances, that were so common in the 90s. I had a separately sold stove/oven as a kid. It was a very different mold and had starkly different accessories. I like that this one is unlike any other stoves I have in my collection. It's compact, but has a ton of unique features. I took a separate photo of it converted, so you can really appreciate how versatile it is!

Cooking without any liquid, heating, gas or other resources; it's very much possible. In Uganda cook with the power of the sun. With a reflecting 'pot' which absorbs a lot of heat food can be made without any expenses.
