Day 1

Stayed at a campground in Palmerston North, near the river park. Took a nap under a shade tree. Good place to rest up after a long flight. Did a bit of exploring and stocked up on supplies. Had a picnic in the park.

I made a steak. I cooked it more after I took the pictures of course.

Ran errands with Jeff before he had to go to work. I had to restock our bar with gin and sweet vermouth and got carded at the liquor store — which left me wondering what underage person would buy that combination of booze?

Later I prepared a marinade for the cookoff the next day, and hung out watching Twilight Zone episodes by myself.
