Dr.Mihir Kumar Panda, an Educational, Societal and Scientific Innovator has established an NGO 'SROSTI' at Bahanaga, Balasore,Odisha,India
Dr. panda has innovated/invented more than 10,000 (ten thousand) teaching aids and different innovations and he has more than 30,000 (Thirty thousand) ideas to make scientific and mathematical models.
His creations are very essential guide for school and college science exhibitions, innovative learning and play way method for the teachers and students, science activists, innovators, craftsmen, farmers, masons, physically challenged persons, common men, entrepreneurs and industrialists.
He is popularizing science through song, innovative demonstrations and motivational speech since 1990 in different parts of Odisha state without taking any fees.
Dr. Panda is an extreme motivational speaker in science and possess magical scientific demonstration and a crowd puller.
Innovator Mihir Kumar Panda loves nature and in his agricultural farm he does not uses the chemicals , fertilizers and pesticides. In his farm even the smallest creatures like snakes, caterpillar, white ants, worms ,vermies are in peace and are managed successfully not to do harm.
Dr. Panda is an Educationist, an environmentalist, a poet for science popularization, a good orator, a best resource person to train others in specific field of science and engineering.
The uniqueness of Simple Innovation and scientific activities and achievements ofDr. Panda can not be assessed without visiting his laboratory which is a living wonder in the realm of science.
From a small cake cutter to mechanical scissor, from a play pump to rickshaw operated food grain spreader and from a village refrigerator to a multi-purpose machine, thousands of such inventions and innovations are proof of Dr. Panda's brilliance.

With no agricultural background, Dr. Panda has developed unique natural bonsai in his Vijnana Bana Ashram which also shows path for earning just by uprooting and nurturing the plants which are found to be small and thumb in nature.

Slow cooker is so awesome! I spent just 15 minutes and turned on my slow cooker. After 6 hours, delicious dinner was ready! Unbelievably easy and the whole family loved it!! Here is the recipe but I only added half the amount of cayenne pepper and chilli powder. The ribs were so tender that we were able to use our chopsticks to eat them. one of the old grills at the club property we use to smoke meat before the parties. Don't worry the inside isn't corroded, it has a force field from years of thick apple & hickory smoke. Perfectly seasoned like a cast iron pan.

Inexplicably this apartment had no rice cooker, so I had to buy one. I bought a super-fancy one for 24,000 yen. It uses 3 stages of pressure cooking and god knows what.
No bread mode like the cheaper non-pressure ones tho :/
I arrived back in Liverpool on December 1st from my travels to Dubai and Balloch!
As always it was good to be back. I collected my new glasses this month,saw the GP for routine test results..all OK and to get some cream for persistent rash on my face.I quickly got into Christmas shopping mostly online and wrote my cards, which i bought this year I did not have the heart to make them.Decorating the tree was lovely and hard ,a few tears flowed as I listened to the festive music..but the end result was satisfying.I ran a final workshop which was very successful saw a new client and continued with my two regular ones and my supervision session with B.
I went to a service at The Cathedral to remember John and to honour the work of Marie Curie it was beautiful and sad.
I went to an Adler meeting to honour and remember Anita also beautiful and sad.
My auntie Isa has died her ashes will be scattered in Scotland in New Year's Eve.
I went to see bridge of Spies and silver screen which I loved.
On December 18th Andrew treated Lucy and I to The Force Awakens....I loved it , we all did. It was my first experience of IMAX in the bar which had beautiful views over Liverpool .We came back here for drinks and a chat about the film...so much to say such a great cinema experience.
My dishwasher continues to create problems.
I flew to Spain on December 21st and reunited with Philip, he was waiting at the airport...it was a precious moment.Just lovely to be able to hug him and see him in the flesh.
We had a lovely few days catching up, decorating the tree and castlenel. Eating nice food resting and looking forward to the arrival of Andrew and Lucy who arrived in Christmas Eve .
We lit the Advent tree,as John and I did on Christmas Eve so often before, the four candles represent, peace, joy, hope and love.
We all love the new kitchen floor, cooker and space.
We went to Glenn's on Christmas day for a lovely family lunch and family quizz, which Andrew won,it was fun.
We had presents which were spectacular,,,every one of them.
On boxing day we all went to Benidorm and saw The Force Awakens -again for A&L and I.We loved it just as much and Philip and Phil loved it too.
Sadly I had to say goodbye to Philip on 27th that was hard, Phil took me to the airport and I flew to Standstead got a train to Cambridge and arrived at Penny;s to a beautiful house filled with candlelight...Christmas Tree twinkling- and winter trees in the garden twinkling too.I was hugged a lot Penny and Johnny first ,then Ellie and Steve came down from getting the children ready for bed, just delightful to see them all, the children all came down to say hello and goodnight....Kate wore the dress I bought her and did a great dance, and played me one of her favourite songs...a letter to my future husband....such good fun...David and Lara arrives more hugs...then Champagne...smoked salmon mackrel pate and I gave out my gifts to them from Philip which were very well received, folk were really touched, then I gave them the sweet peas and John research book....quite emotional for all of us.
Ellie made a wonderful meal, we talked a lot about John, then we sang songs, Johnny read John's speech again from our 20th wedding anniversary..It was such a love filled evening.
I am surrounded by so much love and I MISS MY JOHN MY DARLING MUCH LOVED HUSBAND !

With no agricultural background, Dr. Panda has developed unique natural bonsai in his Vijnana Bana Ashram which also shows path for earning just by uprooting and nurturing the plants which are found to be small and thumb in nature.

Er.(Dr.) Mihir Kumar Panda has founded a Novel Societal, Scientific & Educational Organization : SIMPLE INNOVATION “ SROSTI” (Social Development Research Organization for Science ,Technology & Implementation) since 1996 at RK Integrated Farm Campus, Bahanaga, Balasore , Odisha, his home town. The Organization has been registered under Society Registration Act XXI of 1960. SROSTI, the village based laboratory, has few thousands of Societal, Scientific & Educational Models for Public Demonstration of different Natural Phenomenon, Laws, Principles, Postulations, Hypothesis and Theories in Science to the General Public and Children at large . Er.(Dr.) Mihir Kumar Panda has established the organization SROSTI with his own funds and local resources and single handedly spearheading the Scientific Movement in the State of Odisha for Public Outreach of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) since last 25 years.

Er.(Dr.) Mihir Kumar Panda has participated in lots of television programmes in State Institute of Education & Training (SIET) and Doordarshan, Odisha to popularize science among school children.
Er.(Dr.) Mihir Kumar Panda has been felicitated by Indian Science Congress Association (Bhubaneswar Chapter) in its Annual Conference held at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar during 13-14, December, 2019 for his Life Time Achievement for Popularization of Science particularly for Societal, Scientific and Educational Innovations and was honoured by the Past, Present and future National Presidents of ISCA. He has also been felicitated by large numbers of Professional Societies and Institutions in the country for his Outstanding Societal, Scientific and Educational Innovations.

Crab Cooker menu at Tustin branch, 3-6-2019. It depicts the interior of the original Crab Cooker in Newport Beach, which was recently destroyed by developers.
Using the Cookit I was able to cook up 3 cups of basmati rice in 2 hours. I put it on at 3 and it was done by 5.
These oblong roasting pans fit the Cookit shape nicely and can cook a lot of food!
I made the Cookits from double-thickness cardboard and reinforced all the edges, seams and flex points with foil tape. The thicker cardboard resists the wind, and the foil-taped edges help with the rain.
And here's the rice! I washed and soaked three cups of basmati, set it to cook and it came out perfectly.
A day later I made four cups of basmati, washing it but not soaking it, and it came out just as good if not a bit better - the grains were ever so slightly less crumbly.
Either way, this was far and away the best rice I had ever cooked myself, even on the stovetop. I couldn't be happier.

Thought this rusty barrel against an aging brick wall made an interesting pic. It appears it may be used as a cooker of some description given the metal grated top over it. Sadly did not have time to explore.
