My small Droneuary contribution. Thanks to Shamisenfred, Maxx Davidson, and Pohaturon for inspiration and suggestions. It’s a very solid bot, with fun scuttling legs!
Additional photos on Brickbuilt.
Friend, Erna, painted this from one of my first flickr contributions, of a Bristlecone Pine in the White Mountains of California. In exchange, I photographed, assembled, arranged, and published a blurb book of all her work.
Contribution to Smile on Saturday, from the archives, over-processed of course, look how the windows participate in that processing.
Macro Mondays contribution 28 November 2016 - theme beetles/beatles.
chose this as my subject as it was no1 the day i was born. no other reason to it! The subject is the original 45 once belonging to my sister.
I actually thought there was a lot of scope this week - maybe too much, which in a way makes me feel lazy but time was/is against me.
HMM!!
... to climate protection!
Happy Blue Monday
and good luck for us all at COP24 (24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change)
because up to now we haven't achieved much to save our planet!
This is my contribution to the fabulous Smile on Saturday Group. The theme is: “get nature in your home! “.
Please don’t judge me!!!! I have only 2 living plants in my home. One is a small cactus, and honestly, I think it is dead… and it died a long time ago…. Very harsh and long “dry” season (which is approximately 12 months in my home, from January to December;-)) might have killed it … I’m sad because it was a gift but for my defense, I must say that this Cactus never liked me!! Since day one, Mr. Cactus was giving me the stinky eye!! I swear….
The other plant living with us, was given to my youngest son by my lovely sister. It is a crassula, I know it because my sister left a description of it with all the instruction on how to water it, etc.… Luckily, she gave the instructions to my youngest son and that is why Mrs. Crassula is still alive today! He is really taking care of that plant! And I wonder where does it come from? My husband is as bad as I with plants…. Chances are his green thumb comes from my sister.
And since today is purple or pink at Color My World Daily. This is also my contribution to this awesome group.
Happy SOS and CMWD to all participants!! And for the others: have an awesome day!
Thank you so much for your support!!! I truly appreciate your positive energy!! I wish you a very happy and awesome day!!!
contribution (#2) to MM challenge for 5/8/19, theme: "Complimentary Colours"
Was tempted to do some kind of orange/blue clothing as it has been implied (twice!) that might be difficult but...!!!
My contribution to hats for Haiti. Had a hard time with the focus and timer. It's Friday and what I need is a beer so this is about as good as it's gonna get tonight. Cheers!
Every photo of you or a friend wearing a hat will help towards a donation to Haiti [3 max].
It's that simple. New photos only. More information here.
Thanks and hats off to Tony for doing this!
This is now closed .. £690 ($1,100) for Haiti raised from those who pledged!!! Some of the photos from the group will be appear in a book to raise more funds for Haiti. If you participated, see group's discussion for more information.
Smug's contribution to the Mordialloc Wall-to-Wall festival. Parked cars are definitely the bane of the street art photographers life, but I sort of don't mind these two dark cars in this shot, lending some scale to the huge wall.
My contribution to Macro Mondays' challenge, "Painted", on 10 February 2020. The duckling behind the bill belongs to a family of three hand-painted balsa wood ducks - a present from a friend visiting from Indonesia. Its scratched and battered surface bears witness to the love and attention the little duck family has received over the years from grandkids and other small people. HMM.
My contribution for this week's theme "goods", for the Swedish photo group Fotosondag.
Sol, måne, vatten, frisk luft. Är lyckligt lottad som har ett landställe som ger dessa nyttigheter för kropp och själ. Tack, Sjöstugan!
This was my contribution to the Guilds of Historica collaboration at Brickworld this year. I built the entire landscape and started on the buildings, before getting Isaac’s help to finish the model in time. The base split into three portions, and all the buildings were easily removable to allow for convenient transport of the build. It had been a while since I’d done a proper Middle Eastern scene, so it was a really fun build and I think turned out as one of my best Castle models yet.
Be sure to check out multiple pictures, as the build is viewable from all sides. More angles and close ups available on Brickbuilt.

this is my contribution for the May 2019 12.12 Project, the instant photography collective of which I am a member. Our theme is fragility.
"Real beauty is in the fragility of your petals. A rose that never wilts isn't a rose at all.”
― Crystal Woods, Write like no one is reading 3
Technical information: 1949 Speed Graphic with expired Polaroid type 55 film. Scanned negative (scanned in color).
"La vraie beauté se trouve dans la fragilité de tes pétales. Une rose qui ne fane jamais n'est pas du tout une rose."
-- Crystal Woods
I've been out several times over the past week and a bit to try and get some decent pictures of Comet Neowise (C/2020 F3).But living in greater London and with so few cloudless nights recently it's been frustrating to say the least. Especially when so many people on Flickr have been posting so many great photos of it. So here is my contribution. Taken on one of two trips out to Sarratt in the Chilterns when the weather allowed. I don't have photoshop so it's only been darkened in Picasa a little bit.

My contribution to the group Fotosöndag theme for last week: diagonal.
Krispig novemberdag. Hög luft. Klarblå himmel. Varmgula solstrålar. Frostade ledstänger på promenadvägen till Vinterviken. Där det fanns varm choklad och salami/brie-macka på det fullsmockade cafét. Barnvagnstätt. Slamrande porslin. Skratt och snoriga nosar. Friskt och levande. Skråddande genom lördagen. Lite diagonalt helt enkelt.
My contribution to Novvember! Stringing this thing together was a serious pain in the ass, but hopefully worth it. Enjoy!
A contribution to Nnovvember. Vic Vipers are always great fun, and with this one I went for a very classic shape. I figured out basically all of the design in just one day, and then played around with colors and stickers later. It does fit a minifigure comfortably, though I forgot to get a photo of the cabin interior. And of course, it’s very swooshable!
Lots more images on Brickbuilt.
My contribution for this week's theme "landscape", for the Swedish photo group Fotosondag.
Vägen från mors stuga i Uckelsta. Just nu fullt med grönt och gult. Gillart.
I'm just watching the Snow Storm tonight from my front door. Trying many different types of exposures as people attempt , unsuccessfully to back out of their driveways in the blizzard. I ended up with this longer 1s exposure without Flash. I feel the bullrushes faintly at the bottom add the needed balance for the framing preventing too much negative space. The appearance that there are 3 headlights in play is simply an illusion and merely a combination of both left and right lamps during the start and stop of the slide combining in the center. This gives the impression of a third light. I really enjoyed how the longer exposure shows the falling snow more as streaks than flakes and its contribution to the feeling of motion. Kinda Fun to see the Camera's AE try desperately to figure things out unsuccessfully in the many trial and error attempts to get to this image. I tried several shots in Manual as well but this was the one I was most pleased with. I'm trying to express more of how I see interesting images in my efforts lately and even trying some panoramic shots for personal development.
My contribution to InnovaLUG’s fall vignette collab. Had a lot of fun with this one, it’s been far too long since I built something!

My contribution to the NAPG monthly theme, "Transportation".
The ordinary, high wheel or penny-farthing was the first true bicycle with which actual speed and distance could be achieved in a practical manner. Larger and larger wheels, up to 1.5m (60") in diameter, were built to enable higher speeds The classically oversized penny-farthing wheel refers to the British penny and farthing coins of the time; the former being much larger than the latter so that the side view of the bicycle resembled two such coins placed next to one another.
Based on the original French Boneshaker, James Starley and others produced bicycles with front wheel of ever increasing size, starting about 1870. In 1878 Albert Pope began manufacturing the Columbia bicycle just outside of Boston, thus starting their nearly two decade-long heyday in America. Although the trend was relatively short-lived, the penny-farthing bicycle has since become a prominent historical symbol of the late Victorian era. Its brief popularity also coincided with the birth of cycling as a sport. [from Wikipedia]

...this is my contribution to the last (T-T) Seasons Hunt .... and a big gigantic thank you to Hallie for patiently organizing these wonderful hunts!
The house is smallish but still big enough to be fun to decorate - it has 2 doors - one in the back too because i don't like feeling trapped in a house! lol! I have included some pieces with matching textures that could be used in a garden, including a little 6 prim patio with a short wall. I didn't want to attach it so that it could be placed where you want it - or not used at all to save prims. I hope you enjoy it! have fun! :))
This is my contribution to this weeks theme that is life. This is a living thing on a new aspiring life in the form of a scourge
My contribution to Macro Mondays' challenge, "In a row", on 7 October 2019. As it's currently Spring here in Australia, there are lots of bluebells in our garden.
My contribution for this week's theme "dreams", for the Swedish photo group Fotosondag.
Well, för att få ens drömmar att gå i uppfyllelse ber många om lite hjälp från di högre makterna. Om det funkar eller inte, har jag dock ingen större erfarenhet av.
This is my contribution to the Smile on Saturday Group. The theme is: smile. There is nothing better than a smile. So I used my skinniest finger to fit a Santa Hat on it and to give you this beautiful Christmas Smile ! I hope you like it !!
Note to myself: It is super hard to take a picture of your own hand… ;-).
And since we are Saturday it is a pink day in Color my World Daily Group, that explains my pink background.
Note to myself #2: pink goes very well with red ! Who knew ??

My contribution to the spaceship telephone game organized by Roanoke Handybuck. Each week the next builder in line gets sent images of the previous ship to use as a starting point for their own build. Mine was based on Si-MOCs ship and will be followed tomorrow by Armon Russ' design.
All in all, It was a pleasure to take part alongside these talented people! Be sure to check out the series so far below:
Macro Mondays Contribution "Brands"

Electron tubes branded "Tesla" have been produced in socialist Czechoslovakia since 1946.
Since 2010 the still existing firm shares the name "Tesla" with the U.S. car manufacturer.
Hello amazing Flickr people!
This is my contribution to 2 awesome Flickr Groups:
*ღღ* Cosas de casa *ღღ and the theme for today is “bottle” and Color my World Daily with the color Yellow for today. So happy yellow bottle day to everyone!!!
Every summer, since almost 10 years, we spend 2 weeks in Cuba. We absolutely love it and it is truly a family tradition. We go with my parents, my sister and my children, husband and me.
Each year we throw a message in a bottle into the ocean… (yes, I know this is pollution, but it has such a symbolic meaning to us, and I always take the smallest bottle possible and made of glass...please don’t judge me !!!!).
My sons are writing the message to the world hoping someone will answer… My Dad tests different bottles to see which one will float the best and further… and since we usually go to the same hotel, employees are aware of our strange occupation and they participate actively (by keeping the empty bottles for my Dad to test or provide some beautiful paper to write the message, etc.).
The message and the bottle keep us very occupied! At the end of our stay we go on the catamaran tour and throw a bottle further away from the coast…
And then the waiting begins… and the speculation… The bottle has no boundaries…. It can go soooooo far…
Of course my Dad wants it to go to New Zealand (maybe my friend Ian (www.flickr.com/photos/nzpix) will find it one day !!)…
My Mom thinks it will float to Vancouver (France (www.flickr.com/photos/abeillerose) maybe you will find it ??). My youngest wants someone from Africa to find a message, and my other son thinks it will float forever.
My husband thinks another tourist from Montreal will find the bottle…. Let me tell you: this messages in the bottles are a constant subject of conversations at our house until the next summer!
Well, to this day, after 8 bottles thrown in the sea, we got one answer! And it was a surprise. Our message was on the plane with us, on our way back home. Another family from Canada found the bottle and they knew who the author of the message was… so they decided to wait 6 months before writing a letter to my sons (just to make a bigger surprise)! No need to say that my boys were super thrilled, and everyone was surprised! We stayed in touch with our new friends and we had a good laugh about the whole story. And my husband was right (for once ;-)) another tourist found the message. But no one predicted that the message will be coming back with us on the same plane! That is the beauty of the message in the bottle: you can never predict where it will go...
This time, just to make sure everything is in order, I’m sending Yellow Lady with the message. She can survive, don’t you worry… she has food, wine and an oxygen tank in her purse! and also a compass (of course) and some old fashion maps (since I’m a cartographer, maps always have a sentimental value for me...).
Bon voyage Yellow Lady!!! Be safe wherever you go!!
Thank you so much for your comments /favs and support! I’m humbled and grateful!!! I wish you all an amazing day and see you soon on Flickr (how about tomorrow ??)!!
MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology Lisbon Portugal by Amanda Levete Architects
The MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology, which opened its doors to the public in 2016, presenting itself as a new cultural centre in the city of Lisbon. The MAAT represents an ambition to host national and international exhibitions with contributions by contemporary artists, architects and thinkers. A space for debate, critical thinking and international dialogue, which offers an intense and diverse programme conceived for all audiences and ages.
The MAAT also represents the EDP group’s intent to help revitalise the riverfront of Belém’s historic district. Designed by the prestigious British architecture firm Amanda Levete Architects, the project involves approximately 3.000 m2 of exhibition space plus 7.000 m2 of public space. The new building rises on the riverfront with an architectural narrative that is sensitive to the city’s cultural heritage and future, offering, among other features, a pedestrian roof that offers a privileged view of Lisbon and the Tagus, and which immediately became an iconic location. With this proposal, the EDP Foundation has created a unique space in the city: a campus measuring 38,000 m2 where the new building, with its cosmopolitan design, coexists with the iconic Tejo Power Station dating back to the early 1900s.The Tejo Power Station has been modernised, maintained its dedication to science and provided four galleries for the MAAT programming. The two buildings are united by an outdoor park, conceived by landscape architect Vladimir Djurovik, offering an outstanding leisure space along Lisbon’s riverbank.
The pedestrian route on the riverfront now includes the roof of the new building, creating an undulating movement which merges with the surrounding landscape. In this way, the pedestrian roof, which also has a garden area, becomes both a crucial element of the local route, and a public space with a privileged view of the city and the river. The vast south facade is the building’s most iconic feature and it works as a large reflector interacting with the light coming from the river. The angle and position of the tiles were planned in order to create specific luminous effects according to the time of the day and year. The north facade, built in glass, includes a system with different levels of transparency which can be adapted to the different uses of the space. Inside, the building holds four exhibition spaces: the Oval Gallery, the Main Gallery, the Video Room and the Project Room.

My contribution to the Roguebricks Christmas Bauble exchange. This year I had the pleasure of building a scene for Patric Gnepf. I tried a few different micro castle ideas before John suggested including a waterfall, which helped me figure out the layout. From there it was mostly toying with colors and different building designs.
Have a great Christmas everyone!
Some additional photos on Brickbuilt.
Falchion is my contribution to the CIRCorp round of the Starfighter Telephone Game. It follows (the superb) Backblast from uspez, and now completes the full circle back to halfbeak.
I also made a high-speed construction video here on Flickr or here on YouTube, and a build walkthrough video with commentary at youtu.be/l8j_Tbu-EF4.
Lastly, overall shaping/balance in the rear section (addition of upper tail and length of engine section) benefited hugely from some advice from Rob. Thanks again!
This is my contribution to the New Hashima collab that was displayed at this year's BrickingBavaria.
The cyberpunk inspired island was my biggest project yet and I really enjoyed being part of such a big project. A big thank you to Simon & Jan for making it all possible!
You can currently see a part of the layout for some time in the Brickstory Museum, where you can also find my island!
My contribution for Novvember is a pair of Vic Vipers piloted by geckos.
There’s a nice selection of round elements in interesting colors available now, and I enjoyed playing with those a bit here.
