The Red Funnel ferry, Red Osprey sets sail from Southampton bound for Cowes on the Isle of Wight. She is wearing Ikea libery to celebrate the opening of the New Ikea store in Southampton

This tea container was made for Hangzhou tea. It is decorated with images of West Lake. It does not say what type of tea was in it, but I assume it was Dragon Well Tea.

Container City is the name given to two pieces of shipping container architecture in east London. It is principally a means of utilising standard forty-foot equivalent unit shipping containers, at the end of their life, to produce flexible accommodation and offices at low cost.

At the first installment of the Back-to-Basics Boot Camp: Survival Skills for Sustainable City Living workshops, presented by ReadyMade and Socrates Sculpture Park, at Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, NYC.

 

This one was on container gardening, with experts from Eagle Street Rooftop Farms in Brooklyn, and Plant Specialists in LIC. It happened on Sunday, April 18, 2010.

 

Container gardens add life and color to decks, porches, patios and dull corners in the yard. You can use container gardens for shrubs and flowers, and also for herbs, vegetables and small fruit trees. There are so many different types of planters and flower boxes; you can create container gardens in a myriad of styles.

A collection of barges used to do the heavy lifting when vessels moored offshore need to offload shipping containers - these units lay idle in the Aberdeen Channel on the southern side of Hong Kong island.

If I recall correctly, this was shot from the 48th St. Frankford El stop in Philly on my way home from Alanna's birthday brunch. My first foray into professional color film, Fuji Pro 160C.

on our SE1 balcony - not the most aesthetic-ly pleasing arrangement. but we have re-used lots of empty yogurt containers that can't be easily re-cycled and have planted cornflowers, borlotti beans, nastursiums, sage, basil, dill and parsley. the more mature plants were gifted from paul's mum and bought up from andover on the train.
