Henry the Constructor is inspired by the construction industry and is an attempt to bring a lively and fun character to the trail that both adults and children will easily relate to and enjoy. It mainly draws inspiration from Bob the Builder and portrays that with a positive attitude no problem is too difficult to solve.

Summer 2016, a herd of elephant sculptures descended on Sheffield for the biggest public art event the city has ever seen!
58 elephant sculptures, each uniquely decorated by artists, descended on Sheffield’s parks and open spaces, creating one of the biggest mass participation arts events the city has ever seen. Did you find them all?
The trail of elephants celebrates Sheffield’s creativity with over 75% of artists from the city. Some well-known names include Pete McKee, James Green, Jonathan Wilkinson and Lydia Monks – each of which has put their own creative mark on a 1.6m tall fibreglass elephant sculpture. They are all very difference, take a selfie with your favourite as they will be on display until the end of September.
International artist Mark Alexander, who is currently working with Rembrandt for an exhibition in Berlin, flew to Sheffield especially to paint his elephant and international players from the World Snooker Championship signed SnookHerd, an elephant celebrating the heritage of snooker in Sheffield.
The Arctic Monkeys, famous for their love of their home city, added their signatures to their own personalised sculpture which pays homage to the striking sound wave cover of the band’s 2013 album “AM”.

The Herd of Sheffield Farewell Weekend was held on 14-16 October and was your chance to say a last goodbye to all 58 large elephant sculptures as they gather in one place for a final send-off at Meadowhall.
This special event gave visitors a chance to see the entire herd in all its glory – from the signed Arctic Monkeys’ ‘AM’ elephant, right through to ‘SnookHerd’, autographed by a host of international snooker players including current world champion Mark Selby.
Please note that the Little Herd elephants will not be on display as they will be returned to their school for pupils to enjoy.

Auction: Hundreds of elephant enthusiasts gathered at the Crucible on 20 October for the Herd of Sheffield Auction, which raised a total of £410,600 for The Children’s Hospital Charity.
And to celebrate 1000 items on the TRMH photostream and OVER!! 55,000 views, I will be posting some rather special photos which I hope you will all enjoy. So a selection for my lorry friends now as Leyland Constructor C224 FYS negotiated the crossroads in the village of Whauphill near Stranraer whilst doing the milk rounds.
"Updated" merely by the addition of a front panel from the later Leyland-DAF 80-series this Contstructor 30.25 made a fine sight as it headed out from Ballut Blocks depot en-route to one of the many and seemingly never ending construction sites on Malta. 27.04.10.

Not many "old" lorries to be seen in Northern Ireland but I did come across this well kept Leyland Constructor 24.21 on a trip in 2007.
Narrow cabbed Constructor 8 fitted with roll-on/roll-off gear of A.D Hill from the West Midlands was captured in their yard some years ago now. On that Bristol reg. I wonder if the motor was Ex.Hemmings?
Black Prince operated a cut-down ex-Ribble Leyland PD2 as a towing vehicle. This fictional Leyland Constructor, which has been updated with a Leyland-DAF 60 grille panel, would have provided a heavy lift facility as well as more comprehensive breakdown assistance. Whereas the PD2 was predominately dark red with yellow bands, the Constructor has been outshopped in a predominately yellow livery with dark red skirt. The beauty of Black Prince’s livery was that there was no standard style of application (13-Apr-24).

SC opened in 2014 and ACI opened in 2010; it was originally a Lowe's, which opened on March 31st, 1966. It became The Contractor Yard in 1994 (owned and operated by Lowe's until 2004), which closed in 2008.
Hard at work on a major road rebuilding project on the outskirts of Larnaca this Constructor 30.30 was well turned out and sounded very nice too!

Constructor de Guitarras clásicas. Tiene un pequeño taller en el Barrio de Las Letras. Le viene el oficio de familia hasta el extremo de conservar maderas de muchos años que almacenó su padre. Constructor de la guitarra mas cara que se ha vendido. Era propiedad de Eric Clapton.
Recently restored and only on its second owner from new.
Low mileage - bought new in 1982 and only used during the Lime season until 1990 when it was laid-up.
It will now be taken to shows and put back to work on the lime.

This Scammell Constructor was new to Pickfords as their PUC475 before passing to Hartwells of Oxford as a recovery vehicle. Its seen here at Shutford, Oxfordshire in the late '80s after being bought by Peter Court.
