Malvern based J Prosser and Son have been in operation since 1922. Luckily they have many pictures of their past vehicles (and there are a fair few on Flickr too) - today I was able to copy a few of their prints.

A Ship Constructors & Shipwrights Association (SCSA) membership badge, this union was active from 1910 to 1963. The badge depicts a passenger liner in dry dock under construction and the union’s motto ‘We Are As One’.
The origins of the SCSA go back to the later 19th century when in response to the increasing numbers of iron ships being built and a corresponding decrease in wooden ship construction, numerous shipwright associations amalgamated. Here’s a brief timeline:
1850 United Kingdom Alliance of Associated Shipwrights formed. They were a loose federation of ship builders and wrights involved mainly in the construction wooden ships, an industry rapidly declining in importance during the period.
1878 United Kingdom Amalgamated Society of Shipwrights formed to compete with the new boilermaker and engineers unions, the latter who were directly involved in iron ship building.
1882 Associated Society of Ship Wrights formed and it’s name later changed to become The Associated Shipwright’s Society.
1908 The Shipconstructive & Shipwright’s Association formed after an amalgamation of many smaller associations from the UK and Ireland.
1910 After more amalgamations and reorganisation, the union became the Ship Constructors & Shipwrights Association (SCSA). This union continued, more or less in competition with the newer boilermaker and engineer unions in the shipbuilding industry.
1963 The SCSA merged with the Amalgamated Society of Boilermakers, Blacksmiths, Shipbuilders & Structural Workers and the SCSA ceased as an independent union. They in turn became The General Municipal & Boilermakers Society (GMB).

To commemorate Ferrari's 16th victory in the Formula 1 Constructor's World Championship 2008, Ferrari unveiled the Scuderia Spider 16M at World Finals in Mugello. It is a convertible version of the 430 Scuderia.
The engine produces 510 PS (375 kW; 503 hp) at 8500 rpm and 470 N·m (350 lb·ft) torque at 5250 rpm. The car has a dry weight of 1,340 kg (2,954 lb) (80 kg lighter than the F430 Spider) and a curb weight of 1,440 kg (3,175 lb). It accelerates from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph).

To own a Ferrari would fulfill the fantasy of many car enthusiasts. The famous Italian automaker excels in delivering luxury sports cars that bear a signature and unique exterior without sacrificing performance. This is only half of what makes the cars special though.
Ferrari's culture separates the company from other automakers in huge ways, affecting both its owners and the workers behind these miraculous machines. Although the company is one of the most valuable, it cares about something more than just earning money: it’s about making special cars that offer a driving experience unlike any other. When examining the company and its owners, it’s clear they’ve achieved this milestone, even after all these years.
Owners have to go to great lengths if they want the latest and greatest cars Ferrari churns out. Employees have to follow rules and regulations if they want to uphold the most important thing to Ferrari—which is not about making cars, but the brand itself. Whether one is a Ferrari owner or an employee that works at their factory plant, everyone has to follow the "Ferrari code."
It’s because of these rules that the brand is exclusive and widely coveted among car gurus today. If someone wants to own a Ferrari, they’re going to have to play by the company’s rules. The same goes for employees if they want to work at, what Autoblog notes, a company that won the award for Best Place to Work in Europe for 2007. We’re going to take a look at known rules both owners and employees have to follow if they want to remain in the good graces of Ferrari.

20 - Owner Rule: Forced To Sign Contract Agreeing Not To Sell Car
People today become bombarded with agreements written in fine print. Most people don’t have the time or patience to read all that agreements detail though and decide to sign on the line regardless. According to Autoweek, Ferrari in the US makes their customers sign a contract upon purchasing a new vehicle.
In that agreement is a clause that prevents owners from reselling their car in the first year. The automaker makes buyers sign this in an attempt to discourage owners from flipping their cars. This is both a reminder to read the fine print and further demonstrates the automaker’s stringent protocol placed upon new owners.
19 - Employee Rule: Forbidden From Buying New Cars
Last September, Ferrari unveiled a pair of Roadsters long-time employees can appreciate. Even if the employees want the cars though and can afford them—tough luck. The Drive reports that the company makes their vehicles first and foremost available to the public.
One of Ferrari’s executives, Enrico Galliera, had this to say about employees getting second dibs on new cars: “The philosophy is that with such limited production and clients waiting so long to get their car, it's not nice if the car is delivered to employees.” The only exception to this rule are Scuderia Ferrari F1 drivers who can buy one from the company.
18 - Owner Rule: Leave The Logos Alone
Ferrari believes that as soon as their car rolls off the production line, it's perfect as is. There’s no shortage of Ferrari owners who feel differently though; here’s photographic proof of owners who took their Ferrari rides for granted. If Ferrari had it their way, they’d opt for owners to leave their iconic logos untouched.
According to Tech Dirt, the electronic DJ and artist Deadmau5 got in trouble for covering up his Ferrari logos with custom ones. His 458 Italia “Purrari” sports a blue vinyl wrap that has a Nyan cat painted on the side. It’s a move Ferrari supposedly issued a cease and desist order over.
17 - Employee Rule: Communicate On Their Terms
Ferrari has gone to extremes to sell cars before by tampering with some odometers on used cars, so it’s only natural they’d apply radical policies in the workplace as well. It appears that too many employees were reaching for the keyboard on too many occasions instead of opting for old fashioned face-to-face communication.
According to The Guardian, the executives at Ferrari advised their employees to “talk to each other more and write less.” Since it should be pretty easy for supervisors to monitor their employees’ computer activity, it's safe to assume workers adhere to this directive in order to stick around.
16 - Owner Rule: No Pink Ferraris
Ferrari isn’t fond of pink Ferraris. That’s what Executive Lifestyle reports, despite the company tolerating some customer paint jobs. The disapproval of pink came directly from Herbert Appleroth, the President and CEO of Ferrari Australia. “We do reject the exterior color pink,” Appleroth said, as per the same source.
He went on to say that Ferrari would never produce a pink car. Without a doubt, red is the most iconic color they wrap their cars in. At the same time, the company promotes the idea that no two Ferrari rides should be identical, they just wouldn't go so far as to stand out with a pink paint job.
15 - Employee Rule: No Discounts On Cars
Working for certain companies has its perks. For one, it allows employees to buy products made and sold by that company at a discounted rate. This luxury, however, is too generous to bestow upon Ferrari employees.
According to The Drive, should Scuderia Ferrari F1 drivers choose to purchase a personal Ferrari, they're required to pay full price for it. That puts them in an awkward position, considering it’d be hard to spot team members driving in anything else but a Ferrari; in a way, it forces their employees to invest back into the company without a price concession if they want to properly represent the brand.
14 - Owner Rule: Accept Ferrari’s Right To Buy Back Car
In an earlier entry, we noted that Ferrari in the US has made buyers sign a special contract. While that contract discouraged owners from selling their new Ferrari, it also adds another stipulation: the automaker can buy the vehicle back.
According to the site Car Keys, if someone wanted to get rid of their LaFerrari Aperta, it’s pursuant for Ferrari to purchase the vehicle back from the owner. It would appear that on the surface, Ferrari would rather the car go to someone who wants it instead of someone who doesn't. This is all part of that special contract owners may sign at the time of their purchase.
13 - Employee Rule: Sworn To Prevent Security Leaks
Whether someone is an actor in an upcoming Avengers movie or an employee at Apple, the bigwigs in charge want to keep details under lock and key—that includes any plot spoilers and future product releases. Ferrari is a similar company that’s always making new vehicles while wishing to work in secrecy.
To maintain a level of mystery, the whole operation depends on trustworthy employees. According to Kaspersky Lab Daily, something as simple as copying data to a USB drive has to go through an approval process. This in turn discourages employees from going routes that may lead to a security breach and exercises a higher level of caution.
12 - Owner Rule: Must Love The Ferrari Brand
The world is full of sides, clubs and camps. Those who are outside of them get picked on unless they join a team, while those inside a base pledge undying loyalty. Ferrari is no different. It’s more than just an automaker—it’s a special culture with its own philosophy, style and following.
As the site Car Guy points out, the company sifts through applicants and chooses who gets to buy certain models because they want to make sure their cars are properly taken care of. It’s a sure bet they’re going to pick someone who’s not just a Ferrari fan, but also lives and bleeds the brand.
11 - Employee Rule: Prohibited From Sending Certain Group Emails
Expanding further on an earlier point, Ferrari went to great lengths to crack down on employees emailing more instead of talking to each other. As a means to curb digital communication so that employees would talk to each other directly, they added terms to sending emails.
As per The Guardian, a spokesman for Ferrari said, “From now on, each Ferrari employee will only be able to send the same email to three people in-house.” This must have been a wake up call for employees at the time and discouraged them from falling into old habits of CCing everyone in the whole company on a single thread.
10 - Owner Rule: Buy Not One, Not Two, But Multiple Ferraris
Owning a Ferrari isn’t exactly enough to be a part of the club. As the site Car Guypoints out, it’s more suitable to own several Ferrari cars before one feels part of the bunch. That narrows down the list of potential owners to only a handful around the world with how much they cost.
Even older models are going up in value, as the 1964 Ferrari Prototype demonstrates. The same source points out that the most committed owners, at minimum, are the ones who upgrade their old Ferrari to a newer model. It’s not enough to purchase a one-off Ferrari and call it a day if someone wants to be a true fan.
9 - Employee Rule: Required To Wear Red And White Uniforms
An amusement park can make its employees wear costumes that match the park’s theme; a restaurant may have its employees wear a vest and bow tie; an office requires business casual attire. Ferrari is like most jobs, requiring its employees adhere to a dress code.
According to Freep, those on the manufacturing campus must wear red and white uniforms. They have the company’s iconic yellow logo stitched on, which unites all the employees under the same banner and purpose. There are plenty of people around the world who would love to wear these uniforms, but only a select number ever get to suit up in one.

As F1-Fansite points out, they were able to bounce back in early 2017, with Vettel winning the first race and securing 5 race wins. The Formula 1 team not only represents the automaker but carries the pride of the entire brand. It’s important that they do well in order for the brand to continue thriving.
6 - Owner Rule: Treat Fellow Ferrari Owners Like Family
Buying a car from certain automakers, such as Tesla, Porsche or Ferrari, feels like joining a family. When someone purchases a Ferrari, they enter into a brotherhood and sisterhood alongside fellow owners. As the site the Car Guy notes, entering into the Ferrari fraternity means that owners help each other when the need arises.
This is one of those unspoken rules the automaker hopes and expects its customers will follow. Even outsiders who don’t own one may find it easy to support someone who does as an expression of their admiration towards the brand. Ferrari owners got to stick together.

The company not only cares about its customers, but its employees too. They recognize that these are the people that make it all possible. Autoblog reports that Ferrari launched a project called “Formula Uomo” in the 1990s which lays down many of the tenants employees live and breathe by.

Each individual is important and must embody these principles in order for the whole enterprise to work properly. CASA MILÀ “LA PEDRERA”
Paseo de Gracia, 92 con vuelta a la calle Provenza. Barcelona Eixample

La Pedrera es una de las obras paradigmáticas del modernismo catalán y, quizá el edificio que mejor sintetiza el lenguaje arquitectónico utilizado por Gaudí y fue su última gran obra civil antes de dedicarse por completo a las obras de la Sagrada Familia. Está declarada Monumento Histórico-Artístico de Carácter Nacional -en la actualidad BIC (Bien de Interés Cultural)- desde 1969, y en 1984 la UNESCO la incluyó dentro del Lugar Patrimonio de la Humanidad que agrupa las “Obras de Antoni Gaudí”
El edificio conocido por su aspecto como la Pedrera (la cantera) se levanta por encargo del matrimonio formado por Pere Milà i Camps y Roser Segimon i Artells con destino a residencia propia con acceso independiente en el piso principal y a viviendas de alquiler, características de esta zona del ensanche barcelonés, en las restantes plantas.
Situada en un lugar singular del Ensanche, un chaflán sobre una de sus principales vías, el Paseo de Gracia, destaca a primera vista por su singular fachada ondulada, una variada y armoniosa masa de piedra ondulante sin líneas rectas, realizada en caliza de Villafranca, a cuyos sillares se les dio la textura rugosa de la piedra natural. Sobre ella se abren una serie de huecos que parecen cavados en la sinuosa masa de piedra, con balcones de hierro forjado, con formas vegetales que simulan plantas trepadoras, obra de los hermanos Lluís y Josep Badia i Miarnau, según diseño de del arquitecto, discípulo y colaborador de Gaudí, Josep Maria Jujol. La entrada principal se destaca mediante un arco ciclópeo. La cornisa superior que mantiene en su remate la forma ondulada, tiene esculpidos capullos de rosa y la inscripción "Ave Maria gratia plena, Dominus tecum", comienzo del Ave María en latín, que debería haber ido acompañado de un grupo escultórico de piedra, metal y cristal con la Virgen del Rosario rodeada de los arcángeles Miguel y Gabriel, de 4 metros de altura, subrayando el simbolismo religioso del que Gaudí impregna sus obras, y que finalmente no se colocó a raíz de los sucesos de la Semana Trágica de Barcelona ante la negativa de los propietarios.
Superiormente se remata con una sinuosa azotea que debido a su parcial recubrimiento de azulejo blanco asemeja una sierra nevada con referencia, para algunos, a determinados paisajes catalanes, y donde las salidas de las escaleras -sorprendentes esculturas helicoidales revestidas de fragmentos de cerámica o mármol blanco en el característico trencadís- se rematan con la característica cruz gaudiniana de cuatro brazos, y donde se hacen especialmente evidentes las chimeneas, cuya imagen evoca cabezas de guerreros protegidas por yelmos creando un espacio fantástico y futurista.
Bajo la cubierta se dispone un desván diáfano, configurado por bóvedas tabicadas y arcos catenarios de ladrillo, hoy dedicado a "L'Espai Gaudí" donde se exhiben maquetas, dibujos y documentos relacionados con el arquitecto.
Posee un total de cinco plantas destinas a viviendas, que se estructuran mediante dos grandes patios interiores, uno de planta circular y otro de planta oval y varios más pequeños para ventilación. Por uno de los patios se accedía tanto a las cocheras y cuadras de caballos situadas en el sótano (posteriormente transformadas en garaje, y en la actualidad en sala de actos) así como a la escalera directa al piso principal ocupado inicialmente por sus propietarios, y hoy sala de exposiciones. Además un bajo comercial hoy dedicado a tienda de recuerdos y a oficina de la actual propietaria del edificio.
La decoración interior corrió a cargo de Josep Maria Jujol y los pintores Iu Pascual, Teresa Lostau, Xavier Nogués y Aleix Clapés, que juegan en algunas zonas con elementos ornamentales de inspiración marina, como los falsos techos de yeso que simulan olas de mar, así como pulpos, caracolas y flora marina, y columnas de piedra esculpida, además de un interesante mobiliario de estética modernista creado por el propio Gaudí
En contra de lo que pudiera parecer por su sólido y macizo aspecto, no está construida mediante muros de carga, ni tan siquiera su fachada, con excepción de las que conforman la escalera. Su estructura portante está constituida por un entramado de pilares y vigas metálicas lo que da gran flexibilidad en la distribución de las viviendas, y los forjados son de viguetas metálicas y bovedillas a la catalana, al igual que las escaleras. Los bloques de piedra de la fachada, se apoyan y empotran en jácenas salientes en forma de T curvadas y de geometría variable.
La ejecución se alargó debido a los problemas surgidos con el Ayuntamiento por su excesiva altura. Gaudí renunció a la dirección de la obra en 1909 por divergencias con los propietarios a causa de la decoración interior.
La historia de la Casa Milà ha sido bastante compleja, así, en 1927, tras la muerte del maestro, por la propietaria, Viuda de Milá, se procede a la demolición del interior del piso principal, perdiéndose la decoración original al sustituirse por otra de carácter más clásico; en 1946 se construyen trece apartamentos en la buhardilla; en 1966 la planta noble se transforma en oficinas. En 1969 es declarada Monumento Histórico-Artístico de Carácter Nacional, y entre 1971 y 1975 se realiza una primera restauración a cargo de José Antonio Comas de Mendoza. Tras la adquisición en 1986 por Caixa Catalunya, se han efectuado continuadas obras de conservación y restauración y se mantiene abierta al público para su visita, pudiendo entrar en las viviendas de la planta cuarta, el trastero y la terraza. Las demás plantas siguen ocupadas por viviendas o han sido transformadas en oficinas.

HISTORIA - PATRULLERO ''VIGÍA'' (P-73)
Fue construido en los astilleros de la antigua Empresa Nacional Bazán de Ferrol (hoy NAVANTIA) y entregado a la Armada el día 23 de marzo de 1993. Desde entonces y hasta la fecha ha cumplimentado multitud de misiones, entre las que se encuentran las de vigilancia marítima y pesquera, participación en ejercicios nacionales y multinacionales (NEOTAPON, MAGESTIC EAGLE, LINKED SEAS etc…), colaboración con otros organismos del Estado (Salvamento Marítimo, Guardia Civil ...), escoltas de buques etc…..

MISIONES Y COMETIDOS - PATRULLERO ''VIGÍA'' (P-73)
El patrullero ''Vigía'', encuadrado dentro de las Fuerzas de Acción Marítima, tiene como principales misiones y cometidos:
Contribuir a la Acción del Estado en la Mar para ejercer la soberanía y proteger los intereses marítimos nacionales, en nuestras aguas territoriales y Zona Económica Exclusiva. Esta amplia misión conlleva los cometidos de control de unidades de interés y de la actividad pesquera en coordinación con otras Administraciones así como la presencia naval en nuestras aguas.

La clase Serviola es una serie de cuatro patrulleros de altura, también llamados oceánicos, perteneciente a la Armada Española.
Diseño
Los patrulleros de la clase Serviola son una versión modernizada de la clase Halcón de la propia Empresa Nacional Bazán, de la que se vendieron a principios de la década de 1980 cinco unidades a la Prefectura Naval Argentina, construidas por Bazán-Ferrol, y otras seis a la Armada de México. Estas, fabricadas en este caso por Bazán-San Fernando, y denominadas por su comprador clase Uribe, fueron seguidas por una serie de cuatro de una versión desarrollada y construida localmente designada clase Holzinger y otra serie de cuatro de un desarrollo ulterior conocido como clase Sierra.
Los requisitos de diseño de la Armada Española fueron que pudieran operar en alta mar durante largos periodos y con mar gruesa, sin que esto supusiera una pérdida de sus capacidades operativas.
Disponen de cubierta de vuelo con capacidad para helicópteros medios, aunque sin hangar para poder realizarles el mantenimiento; así como de un pequeño hospital para seis plazas y de dos lanchas semirrígidas (o RHIB, sigla en inglés de rigid-hulled inflatable boat, 'embarcación inflable de casco rígido').
Al igual que había sucedido previamente con los de la clase Anaga, para ahorrar costes se utilizaron para armarlos viejos cañones Mk.22 de 76,2 mm desmontados de buques de procedencia estadounidense dados de baja por la Armada, cuyo valor militar es muy reducido, en lugar de optarse por los muy superiores Oto Melara del mismo calibre que fabricaba bajo licencia la propia Bazán. Además, al igual que aquellos, tampoco disponen de una dirección de tiro avanzada, resultando en consecuencia su potencia de fuego casi testimonial, motivo por el que son apodados como «los Tacañones».
Historial
La construcción del cabeza de la clase comenzó en el astillero de Bazán en Ferrol en diciembre de 1989 y fue entregado a la Armada en marzo de 1991. Entre el inicio de la construcción y la entrega del último buque pasaron sólo dos años y medio.
Estos buques se hicieron especialmente conocidos durante la llamada Guerra del fletán, en la que fueron enviados a proteger a los pesqueros españoles y portugueses de los abordajes de la Armada Canadiense. También son conocidos por su apoyo a las fuerzas de seguridad del Estado en el tráfico ilegal, así como de apoyo a embarcaciones en peligro.
El 26 de mayo de 2013, el Serviola, junto al patrullero de altura Infanta Elena, interceptó al buque caza tesoros Endeavour con bandera de Togo frente a las costas de Málaga, que como supuesto buque de investigación oceanográfica, realizaba tareas relacionadas con el patrimonio arqueológico en aguas españolas del Mar del Alborán. Tras comprobar sus actividades, se le ordenó abandonar la zona, y fue escoltado hasta Algeciras, donde quedó bajo control de la Guardia Civil.
El 19 de febrero de 2014, el Vigía P-73 interrumpió unos ejercicios de la Royal Navy en aguas disputadas en torno al peñón de Gibraltar, lo que originó una protesta diplomática británica.
Con una antigüedad cercana a los 20 años, está prevista su sustitución por BAM en la próxima década.
