The town hall of Oñati has been a Historic Artistic Monument of the Province of Gipuzkoa since 1964, and its work is considered one of the most important of the Civil Baroque in the whole of the Basque Country. If the University of Oñati, built under the patronage of Mercado de Zuazola, can be compared with the most important Renaissance universities of the time, the Town Hall, although chronologically not the first of these characteristics, is a constant reference point for its workmanship, location and beauty.

The municipal building, built between 1764 and 1783, was designed by Martín de Carrera, with Francisco de Echánove collaborating in the construction process, who was in charge of the stonework, and Francisco de Cortaberría and Miguel de Sarazíbar in charge of the carpentry. The more than notable ironwork was carried out by José de Labroche, Joaquín de Arbe and Ventura Jubiondo, with the design of the seating in the main hall corresponding to Manuel Martín de Carrera. Despite the death of the architect Martín de Carrera on 31 August 1768, the work was carried out normally and was delivered within the established time frame.

The Town Hall of Oñati is a free-standing building from the late Baroque period, located at one end of the square, between Zumalacárregui and Barria streets, with a strong urban feel. The ashlar stone building has a rectangular floor plan, access through arcades and two floors and a hipped roof. Its main façade has a simple composition and exquisite decoration with outstanding stonework and carving that gives the building added value. Four giant pillars raised on small bases, go from the ground to practically the cornice and run vertically along the façade, symmetrically arranging the composition in three floors. At ground level, the arcades open out and give access to the portico through three basket-shaped arches, slightly set back from the pillars, which increases the movement of the façade. The upper floors have six moulded openings, three for each height, corresponding to the balconies, around which the rich decoration is concentrated: rocailles, lancets, split curved pediments, rosettes, cartouches, mouldings, foliage, plant elements, scallops, corbels, hanging garlands, small decoration... On the other hand, the wrought iron work on the balconies and the staircase is of magnificent workmanship, based on rocailles, cut metal flowers, geometric shapes with wavy interplays and rounded lines in movement. The decorative abundance continues in the central section with the coat of arms, which breaks the eaves leaving it as a pediment. Finally, five pinnacles on the roof coinciding with the façade bands, further increase the decorative aspect. The interior is made of conglomerate and is accessed through the arches covered with plastered groin vaults. Below them is the main door leading to a large one-flight staircase, which after the landing becomes a double staircase. The stairwell is covered with a small blind drum and a small dome with segments. The large assembly hall has three entrance doors, coinciding with the balconies on the façade. The side façades are made of ashlar stone on the first floor and the rest of plastered masonry. The variety of uses; court, residence, archive, market, prison… seems to have characterised the first years of activity of this unique building, whose popularity makes us forget other town halls of a similar composition that lack its elegance.

The clock tower on the Old Town in Dubrovnik :)

The bell tower (clock tower), located on Luža Square at the end of the Stradun street, the tower is 31 metres high. Originally constructed in 1444, the tower suffered damage in the 1667 Dubrovnik earthquake among other earthquakes and, having started to lean towards the Stradun in the early 19th century, it was demolished in 1928 and entirely rebuilt to the original design in 1929. It was damaged again in the 1979 Montenegro earthquake, and restored in 1987–1988. The bronze bell which strikes the hours was cast in 1506 by Ivan Rabljanin.

Dubrovnik is a city in southern Dalmatia, Croatia, by the Adriatic Sea. It was historically known as Ragusa. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, a seaport and the centre of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The history of the city probably dates back to the 7th century, when the town known as Ragusa was founded by refugees from Epidaurum (Ragusa Vecchia). It was under the protection of the Byzantine Empire and later under the sovereignty of the Republic of Venice. Between the 14th and 19th centuries, Dubrovnik ruled itself as a free state. The prosperity of the city was historically based on maritime trade; as the capital of the maritime Republic of Ragusa, it achieved a high level of development, particularly during the 15th and 16th centuries, as it became notable for its wealth and skilled diplomacy. Dubrovnik in the medieval scale was a spacious city. From the beginning of its existence, the city was surrounded by defensive walls, which were constantly extended and raised until they formed a powerful fortress. Later the Republic gradually declined due to a combination of a Mediterranean shipping crisis and the catastrophic earthquake of 1667. In 1939, Dubrovnik became part of the newly created Banovina of Croatia and under communism Dubrovnik became part of SR Croatia within SFR Yugoslavia. In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in recognition of its outstanding medieval architecture and fortified old town. In 1991, during the Croatian War of Independence, Dubrovnik suffered significant damage from shelling. After undergoing repair and restoration works in the 1990s and early 2000s, it re-emerged as one of the Mediterranean's top tourist destinations, as well as a popular filming location.

Actually it was a normal ride with Rotz, the majestic horse. So, as every night, they rode once again through the magic forest, past the small lake of great harmony, along the coast of the sharp rocks and back to the castle. Today, in the evening light, the water almost looked as if it had frozen to ice, and in fact the Prince froze horribly. Rotz the majestic horse pawed uneasily with his hooves. It was this strange mood, as if time had stopped. Behind the rocks by the sea, something seemed to brew together. A quaking volcano or a bad-tempered dragon who might have just discovered them. In any case, nothing good. It smelled of sulfur and burned wood. The sky was turning rusty brown and a black cloud was hanging overhead. The whole scenery seemed eerie and somehow unreal. Maybe it was just a dream? The prince tried to wake up, but it was not possible. He was obviously too deeply involved in this crazy but terrible story. But what almost robbed him of his mind was that Rotz was constantly blabbering to him. Something about the Witch's Curse. Suddenly a crack, the earth shook and seemed to burst underfoot. A stinging blue-gray smoke rose from the cracks in the floor. Heartily, the prince tore the horse around. While they rode like the devil in the direction of the forest they were pursued by a huge fire roller. A really hot ride. Finally they reached the castle and in fact they had hung the fire roller. Rotz somehow smelled of burned hair and even the prince had the stench of sulfur hanging in his clothes. Showering, brushing your teeth and off to bed said the prince. Then it became quiet. Tommorrow I'll go ahead and pick the witch Lugana. The old quirk can experience something. Then it became very quiet in the castle. Good night!

Happy Sunday!

Yarin

Its 2 am I just came home not too long ago I was planning on getting help today on choosing my photos and my first option to ask help from is no longer as of yesterday and the second option which is my ex I didn’t feel comfortable with but had no choice I couldn’t do it on my own I had to build a theme and its very hard. My ex is a very successful photographer and he also teaches photography so he has a good eye . I really like what we did and what he chose and we decided what will go on the walls together with what and everything. It was so good to be busy with that and not think about yesterday for an hour or so…

Ive been very sad today I tried to sleep most of the day through actually. Im not that devastated simply because I am very very strong and its true what I said a while ago about my heart being the most put together organ in my body cause its not even cracked or anything. Why would it be..? I love and am loved its just … ughhhh

I swing between completely understanding him to thinking he's psycho! For loving me so much and letting me go. I think gd is "playing" with me ever since that voice I heard when I was 13 I've been very close to all my higher guidance and I talk to them constantly and I was begging to meet my man already I was missing someone I didn’t even know and I was going crazy I think maybe they said .." ok you want to meet him and see who it is thats fine ! but he's not ready !!" the first time we went out I felt something. We went up to his place after a few drinks at a near bar and the chemistry was amazing … he went to pee or get water I don’t remember I looked out the window and said " its him isn’t it !!" I really cant explain it and maybe im the one that’s psycho! I don’t know… thank gd I have the exhibition to keep me busy right now. my cousin is having a b day tomorrow and I don’t feel like drinking again but going out will be good for me. I guess…

I also think I talked the talk so now I have to walk the walk. I said I was gonna open my heart and be vulnerable without being afraid. I did it… now I have to live it and not close up! That’s the test I think and I'm not closing up not at all its funny but I'm so open ! and I do have so much to give. finally I have so much to give without being drained and emptied like i was in the past.

I wanted to walk through the empty streets

And feel something constant under my feet,

But all the news reports recommended that

I stay indoors

Because the air outside will make our cells

Divide at an alarming rate until our shells

Simply cannot hold all our insides in,

And that's when we'll explode

(and it won't be a pretty sight)

And we'll become silhouettes when our bodies finally go...

Modern times don´t have space for amusements at the sea. Especially on a rainy day this gate looks like an anachronism.

"I have seen the sea when it is stormy and wild; when it is quiet and serene; when it is dark and moody. And in all its moods, I see myself." Martin Buxbaum.

At the westernmost tip of the Dingle Peninsula, near the Slea Head Parking and just few meters away from Coumeenoole Beach, are located these sharp rocks that are already part of Dunmore Head. When we travelled around this area the weather got worse and better on successive occasions, constantly changing the light. Meanwhile, the sea hit the coast with force, again and again the waves crashed against the rocks of the cliffs, attracting our attention with their intense spectacle.

Once here, the storm clouds covered the sun completely, and the landscape appeared before us with an air of bad humor, with an almost monochromatic aspect. Unlike the photos full of color that I usually take, this time I decided to capture the scene with a neutral density filter, to get a long exposure which intensified that dark and temperamental state of the sea.

The landscape around 16th Street Tower is looking more and more like a wasteland these days, as development of the former B&O, NYC and Rock Island rail yard land to the north commences, and CN downgrades its Chicago Subdivision in the downtown area- the north track has been removed between 21st Street and Oakwood on the old IC main line. Through this scarred landscape, Amtrak's southbound 'Illini' creeps down the St Charles Air Line at dusk.

Another one from our amazing Aurora session. Shot just outside Reykjavík. We where planing on another location but while driving to there the Aurora suddenly became really active. We stopped by the side of the road, ran outside and set up our gear because we knew it would only last a few minutes. The Aurora was sweeping across the whole sky so it was kinda hard to point our cameras as the Aurora was constantly changing its location in the sky.
