This photo is dedicated to lovely Martha.

Martha is another flickr veteran that I admire as a photographer and a sweet person. She has consistently produced many pleasant photos that makes me keep going to her photo stream to see more and get inspired. When I first started out on flickr I was so impressed by her waterdrop photography. Everytime I look at them I get a WOW reaction!! She also has many gorgeous flower shots and many other lovely photos of nature. Go visit Martha's photo stream and you will be hooked! :)

Martha, Thank you so much for your active support of my work! xo

The Lake Placid Tower in Lake Placid, Florida, formerly named Placid Tower, Tower of Peace or Happiness Tower, is a closed observation tower 240 feet (73.2 m) tall according to early sources (before 1982) or 270 feet (82.3 m) tall according to late sources (after 1986). However, no physical modification of the tower occurred in the interim that would explain a 30-foot increase in height. It rests on ground 142 feet (43 m) above sea level (NAVD 88). As a warning to aircraft, the top of the tower, including antennae, is stated to be 392 feet (119.5 m) above sea level by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Thus, the height of the tower above ground, including antennae, is 250 feet (76.2 m) (392–142=250), which excludes a 270-foot architectural height, allowing only a 240-foot architectural height. Counting the tower's 8-inch (20.3 cm) courses yields a height above ground of 235–236 feet (71.6–71.9 m), so the lowest few feet of the 240-foot height, those resting on the foundation, are underground, providing space for an elevator pit.

According to early sources the tower has three observation levels, at 192 feet (58.5 m) behind windows, at 200 feet (61.0 m) on an open air balcony, and at 225 feet (68.6 m) in the open air crow's nest, Eagle's Nest, or Birds eye vantage point on top of the elevator shaft but below roof tracery. The apex of the tower is a flashing red aircraft warning light. The tower is 360 feet (110 m) above sea level according to two late sources, the latter stating that that elevation applies to the eagle's nest, which is consistent with the crow's nest elevation of early sources (142+225=367≈360). The tower offered a 40-mile (65 km) panoramic view.

Earnest Oakley Hunt dreamed of building an observation tower when he moved to Orlando in 1938, then moved to Sebring in 1947 and found the perfect location in nearby Lake Placid. He and Robert Gray formed Air View Corporation to build the tower. The tower was designed by architect A. Wynn Howell of Lakeland, built by Ridge Builders of Sebring in 1960 for $350,000 (equivalent to $2,300,000 in 2018), and opened January 1, 1961. Most sources state that it was the tallest concrete block structure in the world when it opened, with 90,000 concrete blocks, but the magazine Florida Architect states that it was built of reinforced concrete. One source states that the tower included 100,000 limestone blocks from Ocala while another states that it was faced with ceramic tile, implying that the tower has a facade of limestone tile.

The tower below the balcony is 25 feet 4 inches (7.72 m) square, with its four vertical corners replaced by grooves (each 8 inches (20 cm) per side). The section above the balcony is 21 feet (6.40 m) square, also with corner grooves. Each wall is divided into vertical thirds. The outer thirds are composed of reinforced concrete blocks with a facade of limestone tile.

The middle thirds are composed of decorative breeze or fence concrete blocks. The tower has a foundation made from 520 cubic yards (400 m3) of concrete reinforced with 80,000 pounds (36,000 kg) of steel. The tracery atop the tower is made of gold anodized aluminum.

Because of low ticket sales, the tower closed in 1982 when the owner would not pay their Internal Revenue Service taxes, but it was re-opened in 1986. The small group of owners still faced sluggish sales, and the tower and its restaurant continued to struggle, despite features such as a petting zoo in its plaza, and a pay phone at the top billed as the "highest pay phone in Florida."The last owner who operated the tower as a tourist attraction was Lake Placid Tower Group owned by Mark Cambell since 1992. He sold it to CHL Tower Group on November 6, 2003 which has operated it as a cell phone tower ever since. Even though the tower closed about 2003, it still has two red "OPEN" signs at its top, facing north and south

Originally, the tower above the balcony had the same basic design scheme as that below it. But after the tower closed, the portion of the tower from the balcony up was redesigned with a white and cyan (blue-green) color scheme. The limestone tile of the outer thirds of the walls was covered with white stucco, and the middle thirds were covered with thin cyan-colored panels which blocked the bird's eye view. These panels covered the two opposing triangular openings in the middle third of each wall and the breeze or fence blocks between them. The roof tracery above and the balcony below them were also painted cyan.

The Tower View restaurant at the base of the tower closed in 2015. The tower is among 35 designated Lake Placid historic structures. It is one of three towers in Central Florida, including the Citrus Tower, built in 1956, 100 miles (160 km) to the north in Clermont, and Bok Tower, built in 1929, 50 miles (80 km) to the north in Lake Wales.

Well.. at least that what it is called but on this particular day after some consistent rainfall it was delivering way in excess of expectation.

This bird showing a "standard' more greyish-brown background of face/cheeks .

But I surmise abnormal colouration of iridescent head stripe is resultant of

Emergent Plumage Refraction ( that the not fully complete feathering isn't yet refracting typical green)

Everything else is consistent with AMWI - that is, there are no other apparent anomalous features which could/should indicate possible hybridization.

Embassy, 2017

Embassy is an imagined, temporary, foreign mission. The official residence or offices of a nation’s ambassador symbolize a country outside of its borders. Though these residences, built of bricks and mortar, adorned with national flags and symbols of identity, appear to be fixed, they are guests, their presence dependent on diplomatic relationships between nations, which can range from steadfast and consistent to complex, shifting, at times, even volatile.

This installation is designed to adapt to the site where it is located; which can be seen as opportunistic, parasitic and political. Though large in scale, it is constructed from familiar materials - metal scaffolding wrapped in printed vinyl, materials most often used to cover the facade of a building undergoing construction. It suggests a space half-realized, as if on its way to becoming something larger, something more permanent. Given the current trend of hardening nationalism around the world, it seems fitting to reflect on notions of national identity. Forever in progress, Embassy requires visitors to complete the structure in their minds.

Cedric Bomford has been exhibiting internationally for the past 15 years. His practice grows out of an interest in power relations within constructed spaces and takes the form of large-scale ad hoc installations. His recent body of work is informed by a rigorous photographic practice.

Verena Kaminiarz's practice deals with the problematic intersections between science and art, with a focus on ethics in relation to living creatures. Recently her works have been included in exhibitions in Prague, Budapest and Victoria, BC.

Top L - Male House Finch. Top R - Male Purple Finch

Bottom L Female House Finch. Bottom R - Female Purple Finch

In a park feeding area here we are seeing both House Finches and Purple Finches sometimes simultaneously. There has been a lot of discussion regarding ID. I hope the images and descriptions below are helpful.

In terms of the females of each species, the Purple Finch has a dark patch behind the eye usually with a prominent white line extending behind the eye and a darker, less streaked cap.

The breast and flank streaking on the female House Finch is more continuous and less sharply defined than the interrupted and usually darker and more defined streaks on the female Purple Finch.

The bills are an important defining feature between these species that applies to both genders. The bills of the Purple Finch are heavier and more triangular than the House Finch.

The bill of a House Finch is more curved overall with an obvious curve on the upside of the top mandible (culmen).

As far as the males go, the red on the male Purple Finch is usually a deeper more raspberry red colour which extends over the entire head and down the back and wings. The wing covert edges have a red hue. There is no red colour there on the male House Finch. The male House Finch has brown streaking on the flanks. The male Purple Finch shows a series of red blotches. The male Purple Finch also has a dark patch behind the eye like the female Purple Finch.

It is not seen in these shots, but the Purple Finch has a deeper tail notch than the House Finch.

Male House Finches can have various amounts of red, orange, or yellow colour and in various tones and intensity around the top of the head and down the breast, depending on the region in which they live and what they eat, but show no colour on the back and wing bars like the Purple Finch whose colour is more consistent.

Have you ever noticed how different the sculpts are between the different editions of the MH girls? Left to right: Gloom Beach, Dead Tired, Wave 1 Basic. The Gloom Beach Ghoulia's head is markedly wider than the other two... the basic is slightly narrower, and then the Dead Tired is really quite slim!

I compared other dolls in the house (there are a lot right now because of commissions), and the Gloom Beach girls seem to have narrower heads across the board, aside from Cleo who seems reasonably consistent between releases.

This is Jim. He’s just one of the many Portland street musicians I see on a consistent basis. I photographed Jim five years ago but never actually met him. I decided to introduce myself but in between songs. He was personable and open to having his picture taken, again. This time I used my iPhone as the Max Train was passing by. Then I converted the image to monochrome just so everyone could appreciate the black and white beard. You gotta love it! See the image I took of Jim back in 2011 in the comments box below.

Lund University (Swedish: Lunds universitet) is a public university, consistently ranking among the world's top 100 universities. The university, located in the city of Lund in the province of Scania, Sweden, traces its roots back to 1425, when a Franciscan studium generale was founded in Lund next to the Lund Cathedral, making it the oldest institution of higher education in Scandinavia. After Sweden won Scania from Denmark in the 1658 Treaty of Roskilde, the university was founded in 1666 on the location of the old studium generale next to Lund Cathedral.

Lund University has eight faculties, with additional campuses in the cities of Malmö and Helsingborg, with 42,000 students in 302 different programmes and 2,046 freestanding courses. The University has some 600 partner universities in over 70 countries and it belongs to the League of European Research Universities as well as the global Universitas 21 network.

Two major facilities for materials research are in Lund University: MAX IV, which is a world-leading[peacock term] synchrotron radiation laboratory – inaugurated in June 2016, and European Spallation Source (ESS), a new European facility that will provide up to 100 times brighter neutron beams than existing facilities today, to be opened in 2023.

The university centers on the Lundagård park adjacent to the Lund Cathedral, with various departments spread in different locations in town, but mostly concentrated in a belt stretching north from the park connecting to the university hospital area and continuing out to the northeastern periphery of the town, where one finds the large campus of the Faculty of Engineering.

Lund University library was established in 1668 at the same time as the university and is one of Sweden's oldest and largest libraries. Since 1698 it has received legal deposit copies of everything printed in the country. Today six Swedish libraries receive legal deposit copies, but only Lund and the Royal Library in Stockholm are required to keep everything for posterity. Swedish imprints make up half of the collections, which amount to 170,000 linear metres of shelving (2006). The library serves 620,000 loans per year, the staff is 200 full-time equivalents, and the 33 branch libraries house 2600 reading room desks. The current main building at Helgonabacken opened in 1907. Before that, the old building was Liberiet close to the city's cathedral. Liberiet was built as a library in the 15th century, but now serves as a cafe.

Weak and singular and odd!

(John Newton)

A consistent Christian, whose integrity, humility, and philanthropy, mark his character and adorn his profession--will in time command respect.

But his attachment to the unfashionable truths of the Gospel, and his separation from the maxims and pursuits of the world--will render him weak and singular and odd in their eyes.

"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you!" John 15:18-19

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend!! My baby said 3 words this past week!! I can't believe it! He had such a great week. He said "hi", "wow", and "no". Still nothing consistent but he is trying and I am thrilled!!

"Freewill"

There are those who think that life has nothing left to chance

A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance

A planet of play things

We dance on the strings

Of powers we cannot perceive

'The stars aren't aligned

Or the gods are malign...'

Blame is better to give than receive

[Chorus:]

You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice

You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill

I will choose a path that's clear

I will choose freewill

There are those who think

That they were dealt a losing hand

The cards were stacked against them

They weren't born in Lotusland

All preordained

A prisoner in chains

A victim of venomous fate

Kicked in the face

You can't pray for a place

In heaven's unearthly estate

[Chorus]

Each of us

A cell of awareness

Imperfect and incomplete

Genetic blends

With uncertain ends

On a fortune hunt that's far too fleet

While many of the shallow wetland areas on this refuge do not have consistent standing water every year, this shallow lake is an exception... it has constant water. We usually check it out in early evening to see if it has a vanguard of resting birds that usually indicate that it will serve as a nighttime roost. Today it had only two Sandhill Cranes and a small group of Snow Geese. This young Goose was posing near one of the bird blinds (hides to the Brits). It was favoring a leg... several of the other birds remaining here also seemed to have minor injuries.

Detroit, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 2024

East Congress Street is an important and historically relevant street located in the civic centre of downtown Detroit, on the city's east side.

Location and Function: The street runs parallel to the Detroit River, just south of Jefferson Avenue. It is a key thoroughfare that cuts through the city's financial and governmental district, and historically was an important area for shipping commerce and judicial activity.

Key Landmarks: Along or very near East Congress Street are significant buildings reflecting its civic role:

Detroit City-County Building (Coleman A. Young Municipal Center): This skyscraper, home to municipal and county offices, is located very close by.

Federal Buildings: The area also houses several federal and courthouse buildings.

Connections: The street is essential for connecting the business district with the modern Renaissance Center (to the southeast) and the Campus Martius area (to the west), serving as an alternative transport axis to the main thoroughfares.

Character: East Congress Street is noted for its architecture of classic-era brick and stone buildings and its consistent function as an administrative and business hub.

My take on a futuristic style ambulance, on a planet that has consistent good weather (hence the open top).

Well the only things that are consistent with todays scene is the station roof and background building, everything else has changed! Seen on platform one is Class 45, No 45146 in front of three parcels vehicles being loaded with the days mail. No 45146 was just stabling having come off a Trans Pennine turn previously. Siding 'A' still in place but of more interest in the background on Platform Two is the various trollies which were part of the everyday scene at that time. Oh how things have changed, for the better? Who knows! 10th December 1985.

Just found out that this shot has been included in the “landscape photographer of the year” book and exhibition at the national theatre in London. It’s a competition I entered way back in August to put it lightly I’m thrilled to bits, and it’s wonderful that some good friends have also been included too (Tim, Wayne, Paul and Dav), anyway plug over (o:

As a family we are embarecingly habitual, especially so, when it comes to the weekend. On a Saturday if where not at a childrens party, (which is very frequent with two young kids) we tend to do the boring shopping stuff that we don’t have time for in the week. Eneverabally this involves going to a local town and ending up dragging the tired kids around the supermarket at the end of the day. In fact just saying this here makes me feel like its Saturday now, I can almost smell the take out curry we consistently have, when the kids are safely tucked up in bed, (‘it's even the same order each week’! Man this is getting personal, somebody please tell me it’s not just me!)

Now on a Sunday there is no change to our habitual nature and if the weather is good, we head off to the Yorkshire Dales and find some picturesque country village to have lunch in and use as the foundation to a walk. On the other hand if the weather looks a bit suspect, we tend to go swimming, especially at this time of year when the sun goes down so dam early.

Anyway on this occasion we headed to Skipton, It’s a beautiful little dales town that has some good cafés and shops to wander around, not to mention a lovely swimming pool and if the rain isn’t too horizontal, there is a short walk up behind the castle that is just packed full of photographic potential. On this occasion I went up here in full knowledge that Cathy and the kids were happy wandering around the town and as I knew that the beach trees would be turning autumnal and I wanted to explore the potential movement opportunities of this small stream.

What I find interesting here, is partly the way a particular locality changes over the year and revisiting the very same location, can provide such a different atmosphere and creative fuel for photographic inspiration. I knew that in this location the trees would be turning a wonderful golden colour and after the strong rain the previous week the stream would have a good flow. However what I find less obvious, but more interesting, is the way my habitual nature forces me to find new ways of approaching a familiar location in order to keep my creatively inquisitive nature satisfied. There would be little point at all, for me, in executing the same compositions in slightly different light. Yes I see the merit of this action to find the ‘perfect’ set of environmental factors, and if somebody else did manage to use ‘my composition’ but come up with a better set of emotion provoking environmental conditions, I’d be somewhat upset, but for me to do this feels like I’m heading for creative stagnation.

(Please don’t make the assumption that I’m recommending this action to everybody that would be just that bit too arrogant for my liking. I’m just trying here to explore the recesses of my subconscious and very publically exposing the idiosyncrasies and peculiarities of the inner workings of my mind, in order to make new neural connections in the name of creative development.)

On a side, but strongly related note, this weekend I visited Bolton abbey and went to the same location as this photograph, to attempt to improve on what I’d already worked on the previous year. I wanted to repeat the shot in enhanced conditions (autumnal colours and lighting) and although I did tentatively repeat the same composition, I found myself desperately avoiding the earlier year’s composition and trying very hard to come away with something different. As I walked away in reflection, I felt a hollow emptiness and if I’m honest a tad shamed by repeating my visit to this location, as if I was in some way going backwards creatively. Now if I’d have had fog, vibrant golden light and perfect autumnal colours, I may have been satisfied, as I know the photograph could have been improved on, but coming up with a ‘new’ shot, that sparks that wonderful excited feeling when you view it knowing you’ve got a winner on your hands is hard to beat.

So from this should I conclude that the process of finding and executing ‘new’ images is of greater importance than the image its self? Do I value the exploration more than the end product? Or is it finding the uniquely new, (if that’s indeed remotely possible in our contemporary photographically saturated world) and presenting it to the wider audience, that my fragile ego is craving lasting admiration that is the driving force? Kind of like being the first ever person up a mountain, does it matter that Hillary was first up Everest, or did Tenzing just enjoy the personal challenge and the permanent historic accolades could go to the man with the longest stride or biggest chin? This could possibly go too deep into my own personal insecurities for my comfort so let me change the subject and come back to this when I’ve reflected a bit more and plucked up the courage to expose the inside of my mind.

To be fair what I did want to try and do in this shot, was exploited what I did know about the location, (the turning leaves, and water flow) and attempt to realise a series of movement experiments from different locations I’d been working on over the last few months. I’ve always been a massive fan of movement in photography, due to the way it uniquely injects energy and draws on the emotions. This shot then is not just a simple turn up and see what happens, It is not just lucky, but a synthesis of a pre collection of information, distilled from knowledge of the location, observations on the weather and seasons, and in part, a culmination of ideas inspired by experiments over my creative lifespan.

Again I’m not trying to make out that I’m any kind of expert here, but I felt that offering a shot history to what is the tip of the image production iceberg presented here, might help others question where the seemingly simple, but very complex set of decisions we inisiate whilst making photographs, are in fact coming from a multitude of influences that have titanic consequences when it comes to image icebergs.

Every chance I get with a new ear, I discuss wildlife photography. Those closest to me have become certainly numb to my consistent ramblings and have no doubt perfected the obligatory nod. However as it often does, persistence paid off!

Two weeks ago I was meeting with my boss and another co-working friend. With the precision of huckster days gone by, I masterfully wove wildlife photography into the conversation. To my amazement one of the ladies replied “we have eagles in our backyard”… a reply I have heard before only to go and find everything from pigeons to hawks. It was when she shared an iPhone photo of a bald eagle sitting in a tree and invited me to come by anytime that triggered my out of body experience!

This morning I showed up at her home commenced to capture some 160+ shots of this mature male. My presence and actions have been the cause of many eagles scream over the years, but in this case he was going through the motions, with nothing coming out. As I closed the gap he would open his mouth, always in the direction of the nest. I believe he was communicating with the nest in a range that a human cannot hear. I just hope he had nice things to say!

After a bunch of revisions, this is basically it. I tried to tighten up the aft section to make it more consistent with the front, In addition It drops the parts count a little for easier replication. I have some small detail work left to do, mentioned on the notes. Then comes the dis-assembly for break down pics and a more formal finished pic. So I guess there is still a fair amount of work for me to do after all.

I know there has not really been anything new for a while, but I actually have a few projects coming along slowly in the background. It's been a long time since I did a fighter.

Autumn foliage surrounds the Wenatchee River near Leavenworth, Washington, as the early morning October sun burns off clouds and fog in the Tumwater Canyon. This section of US Highway 2 is consistently regarded as one of the most scenic drives in the USA, as well as being one of the best places in Washington State to enjoy colorful fall foliage.

A recent article in Outdoor Photographer by and about Gary Wagner interested me enough to buy his book. I like his philosophy and approach to black and white photography, and I’ve found it to be inspiring. He is very clear that his intent is to create art that is consistent with his vision, his interpretation of the scene. He focuses on the emotional and visual intent more than realistic representation. That appeals to me, and I have been looking at some of my older color work, seeing what I think might translate well to monochrome and processing those images. I’ll be posting quite a few in the future, but I’ll try to get some color images out there also.

I know black and white photography is not quite as popular on Flickr, but if you have taken the time to read this, chances are you like black and white. I usually do not ask for criticism, but if you are inclined, I would like to hear what you think I could do better with monochrome processing. I’m okay with what you think works, but I’m especially interested in what you think does not. I appreciate your time and input.

A drought is an extended period of months or years when a region notes a deficiency in its water supply. Generally, this occurs when a region receives consistently below average precipitation. It can have a substantial impact on the ecosystem and agriculture of the affected region. Although droughts can persist for several years, even a short, intense drought can cause significant damage and harm the local economy. This global phenomenon has a widespread impact on agriculture.

I am so sorry for not posting consistently! College has been so hectic, I struggle to find time to take a picture, let alone edit. This week has been insanely busy, and then I got sick. Worst. Timing. Ever. There were a couple days last week where I literally had no time to eat a proper meal. It was terrible! Plus I had an exam that week. Bleh. But I'm excited for the upcoming week! I bought some new clothes and that could help with some ideas! Woo!

Also, I. Love. VSCO presets. So. So. Much. Ahhhhh!

Anyways, thanks for stopping by and keeping up with my journey! <3 <3 <3 I will try to start uploading more consistently (or at least shoot more consistently)!

{EDIT: I am so sorry about not posting stuff in over a week! I've been crazy busy and I don't think I'll be able to post anything any time soon D: College is killing me.]

Tiengemeten is an island near Rotterdam. The name refers to the size: a gemet is an ancient land size of 0.4 hectares. Tien means 10 so Tiengemeten translates as 4 hectares, which is 100 by 400 meters. Nowadays the size of the island and the name are no longer consistent with each other because today Tiengemeten is 7 km long and 2 km wide.

The Skogafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country with a width of 25 metres (82 feet) and a drop of 60 m (200 ft). Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow which is normally visible on sunny days. According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall. The legend continues that locals found the chest years later, but were only able to grasp the ring on the side of the chest before it disappeared again. The ring was allegedly given to the local church. The old church door ring is now in the Skógar museum.

At the eastern side of the waterfall, a hiking and trekking trail leads up to the pass Fimmvörðuháls between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. It goes down to Þórsmörk on the other side and continues as the Laugavegur trail to Landmannalaugar. (wiki)

I find it surprising that within a fairly close perimeter, say 3 miles, temperature can consistently show variation in the order of 5 or more degrees Celsius.

This particular path is really unique. I won't say "magical" because the word has accrued so many wild meanings over the ages that it's hard to avoid unintentional ambiguity. But there's definitely something out of the ordinary in this locality, and it manifests itself in taking emotional strain off one's shoulders like a gentle vacuum cleaner, and in warming the body even on cold days.

The first time I've experienced this phenomenon I didn't really notice it until I felt my gloveless hands suddenly get hot, and until I realized that my mind had been put at absolute ease—despite arriving in a state of uncomfortable agitation and not having mentally resolved the issues which had triggered it.

Then it happened again. I'd come quite relaxed this time and actually curious if I was going to relive the experience nonetheless. However, something strange occurred, almost as if a spell had been cast, and, absolutely forgetting about my plan, I was sucked into what I could now describe as a different dimension of the woodlands. Some sort of sleet or drizzle was falling, my hands got numb, and my feet instinctively retraced the steps I had taken on the previous walk. After close to an hour, a gradual sensation of thawing came over me; I forgot about the cold, my breathing became slow and even...

Half a mile later, a penetrating, unmistakable chill woke me up from the reverie. The woods were still around me, the trees silently stood guard on both sides of the path; but the ambience was different: more austere, cautious and watchful—a perfect background to the numerous chirrups and bits of birdsong: the sure, even if now only timid, harbingers of spring.

One day, an old man (not really) named the 'Great' Wiikling was unable to work consistently with the things he loved.

He wondered if the day would come when he would retire and how sad it would be to leave all those unfinished projects and young-uns' behind.

Then one day, he thought: "I can just pass down my tools to fools, and thus they will no longer be turds but little bright nerds!"

Thus the day has come and the great Wiikling is here to give you a small brief on each item!

So for starters, the preset mag range was modified slightly within the indents to make them look more 'pretty' (realistic isn't exactly what they have become) so use these instead if you prefer it.

The 'Waffle' mag was featured in my previous creation the Core - CR, but this was changed significantly due to a half-assed job I did to it on the gun itself, so now it has a more realistic yet simplistic look.

The ShoK-KD SAIGA mag is similar to well...the SAIGA range. It utilizes the AK74U mag so is a bit different in size to the real one. Also the mag has been slightly modified since the actual creation.

The UWSS50 Anti-personnel mag is one of my favourites, simple yet very beautiful on any design that utilizes a .50cal firing system, I hope people will use this greatly in the future.

The HKR Bipod has taken inspiration from the MG36 Bipod, the UWSS50 Bipod is almost directly taken from the M82A2 Sniper Bipod and the SWD.50 Bipod is a complete custom.

Finally, the rings. The only time I have ever seen someone use or made this similarly, is from Hongooi and KatUteeV's creations. I really hope people see the potential in these and don't go off being lazy and use Delta rings because they aren't the real deal. Although the major downsize is that these are complete and UTTERLY un-recolourable, the only way is for me to redo it in another colour scheme, so you are stuck with #444444.

Thank you for your time, and I hope sometime in the future, Wiikling will be back!

The pass weekend, someone tried to poison Koda. I’ll begin with the events that started Friday night.

In retaliation to my last post; the Village Idiots of Mesa County Colorado, rallied around our camp. They started rolling in, late that afternoon. There was a large multiple camp, set up, to our Southwest. In case we decided to go for a walk. Throughout the night, more started rolling in. Zooming back and forth, pass the back of our motorhome. Then the hooping and hollering began, keeping us up after 2 am. I’m not against people having a good time, but this was about harassment, sleep deprivation. I think, I fell asleep around 3 am.

Saturday morning, we were woken at 6 am. Two trucks, one with a trailer, parked about 50 yards behind our motorhome. They had many other areas to park and unload. They slammed doors, tailgates, unloaded two motorcycles, started revving the engines, then drove behind, and to the left side of our motorhome. Once awake, I was unable to go back to sleep. I started the morning coffee, and took Koda out so he could pee. As he sniffs around, the Bottom Feeders, started rolling by. I call them Bottom Feeders, because; they feed off of hate, intimidation, fear, and the disparity of others. They were driving pass us with dogs, hanging out, or looking out of the vehicle windows. This is the same routine, carried out in Arizona and Wyoming. Each time I stepped out with Koda; they would drive, or ride by; trying to get him worked up. Not only would they use vehicles, but previously use; National Guard Jets, Helicopters, and Planes. Anything worthy of intimidation, harassment and sleep deprivation. As you can hear, see and read, throughout my photostream.

Some of the vehicles driving back and forth, I recognized. They were the same ones, driving back and forth on the highway, for weeks. Each time we stepped out of the motorhome. They were the same ones, pulling into, or waiting at a gas station, several miles from us. When we went in, or stopped. They would be inside, or rush inside, to crowd us at the register, stand at the soda machine; giving Koda stares of hate.

It’s still Saturday. We have our morning routine; wake, start coffee, Koda goes out to pee, I set out solar panels, Koda goes out to poo. As Koda scrunches up to poo, the airplane shows back up. It hasn’t been seen for a while. It’s usually the case after a post, but once they get the all clear, they start right back up. The plane circles around our camp, the Bottom Feeders start rolling by. Koda, with a concerning look on his face; trying so hard to pinch a loaf. He finally got it out; firm and consistent, as always. We sat outside for a bit. He had his morning chewy, I had my coffee. We then, went in for breakfast.

A bit later, the two guys with the motorcycles come back. They slam, make as much noise as possible, then stall as long as possible. Baiting; in hopes I would walk over for a confrontation. I didn’t, seeing the same tactics year after year.

Later that afternoon, Koda, gets anxious, starts panting, rushes to the front of the motorhome. He’s looking at me panting; something has him worked up. I know this, all to well. I ask him if he want to go out. He gives me his squeaky yes. He will do this long squeaky yawn, meaning yes. When he’s worked up like this; usually, the Bottom Feeders are in wait. Waiting for us to step out. This was the case. As Koda lifts his leg on a bush; here they come. Four black SUVs, come around the curve. They drive pass us slowly. Some with dogs, but all; giving us the stare-down. As they pass; the same plane circles just above their camps. I take a few picks of their vehicles, the plane disappears over the ridge-line. Koda, finished his pee, gives me the WTF look. We turn around to go back into the motorhome. The screen door is wide open. It latches firmly when closed, someone had to have opened it. We get this a lot, too. Perps, will also slide the small slider open (Gaslighting). It slides back and forth, so you can access the screen door handle when going out. I don’t see anything out of the ordinary, so we settle back in to watch a movie.

That night, we were kept awake. People and dogs, walking around our motorhome. As soon as I would dose off, Koda, would jump up, bark and stare out the bedroom windows. Another night of less than 4 hours sleep. These Bottom Feeders, love to keep their Targets sleep deprived. A person is more likely to act out in anger, and anguish, when sleep deprived. I don’t; thanks to The US Joint Services Special Operations; extreme POW training. Bring it on, Bottom Feeders….

It’s Sunday morning, and no, the Bottom Feeders were not off to church. Koda needed out quickly. He hits his leash with his nose and stands at the door. As soon as we stepped to the grassy area, he barely got scrunched up, and diarrhea shoots out; all liquid. He steps forward a bit, then more diarrhea. I ask if hes OK, he gives me the sad eyes. He takes a pee, I take a close look at it; for color and stream flow. We go back in. We had a couple of the Bottom Feeders going by, but I was more concerned about his stools. I make a coffee, start some toast, he wants back out. Same liquid diarrhea again. We go back inside, he lays on the hardwood floor, instead of his soft bed, placed in our tip-out. His pupils are dilated, he’s panting. It’s a cool morning, so it’s not from the heat. I check his capillary refill time, it normal. His gums seemed a bit cool to the touch. He pants for another 10 minutes, while I keep a close eye on him. I though it may be stress, from all the resent activity. He’s stayed pretty calm, but neither of us have had much sleep. He finally falls asleep, in front of his favorite fan. I get my morning news fix on, glancing over at him often. I’m kinda wired myself, getting a second wind, the caffeine kicking in. I like my coffee bold; like the leather thong underwear, I’m wearing. Kidding guys, just kidding, about my coffee.

Koda wakes, he seems to be feeling better. We go out for his morning pee; here come the Bottom Feeders. Once back in, two motorcycles zoomed to our left side. They stop just to the rear of our motorhome, revving engines, getting Koda worked up. Wearing full-face helmets, not looking up once, to show their faces. Setting there for what seemed forever, just revving engines.

It’s still cool, so I ask him if he wants to go for a short walk. Fuck the Bottom Feeders, my guy wants to go for a walk. We head for the hill, that they are camped on the other side of. As soon as we break the crest; here they come. First the tan, old, Ford Explorer. Then the white Ford Excursion. Vehicles I’ve seen way to many times, to be a coincidence. We get the stare of hate, from the first one, the what am I doing wrong; from the other. As we walk the dirt road, pass their Community of Hate Camp; we get the Half-wit show from hell. One young woman flailing a large orange object, up and down. Billy-Bob, rushes up the ladder, to the top of a Class C motorhome. Other Meth-head looking Perps, grabbing dogs and slamming doors. It was quite the stupid-fest. We walked pass their camp, and onto a trail, that circles around to our camp. Just as we got to the top of a hill, overlooking our camp; the high-powered rifle, gunfire begins. It was a short hike, about 1.5 miles. Koda, and I, both not feeling to well. As we headed back to camp, the Bottom Feeders broke down theirs, and were heading out. All, slowly driving pass our camp. One stopped to talk to a burgundy Dodge Pick-up, that does the poo drive by on a regular bases. He drives to our west, just on the other side of a hill. So, he can later pick-up on the gunfire, when we step out of the motorhome.

Fuck these guys. I was more concerned about Koda. He didn’t want his regular chewy that morning, or the Milk-Bone treat, when we got back. He laid back down on the hardwood floor. I boiled some rice, cut up some cooked chicken breast. The rice to settle his stomach, the chicken for protein. He didn’t eat it until later. The guy in the burgundy truck, waiting to repeat the gunfire, the moment we step out. Later that afternoon, Koda had another round of diarrhea. He did finish the rice and chicken, looked and acted better. It was another night with little sleep. The Bottom Feeders; jack braking large trucks, accelerating with loud exhaust, on the highway. It lasted to 3 am, in the morning.

We got up Monday morning, Koda, almost back to his perky and goofy self. We stepped out for his morning pee. As he does; here comes Billy-Bob, in his Billy-Bob truck. He slowly drives pass us, a few feet away. I’ve seen this guy several times before. On the highway, on the dirt road passing our camp, and his truck at the station, down the road. We go inside, Koda gets his chewy treat. I make a coffee, get my news fix on. Like Koda, my stools are as predictable as his. I head to the toilet, for my morning poo. Koda, comes and lays in the hall, next to me. He grabs his rope, out of his toy box. It’s time for tug-of-war. This is great, if your constipated, and setting on a toilet. It’s something he started a long time ago. If I’m on the toilet to long, he gets board. I’m just finishing, he drops the rope, rushes to the front of the motorhome. He’s jumping from drivers to passenger seat, barking out each window. I usually ignore it, most of the time. It’s one of the Sociopaths, needing their daily dose of attention.

This time, he was really worked up. I finished, walked to the passenger seat window and looked out. It was Billy-Bob, from earlier. He drives away quickly, onto the highway. Koda, jumped down from the seat, started eating something on the floor. Someone, had slid the drivers side screen open, and thrown dog food onto the floor, under the drivers seat. I stopped Koda immediately, and took a good look at the food. I took pictures, it was not his dog food. It was totally different, in color and shape. I’ve had this same dog food, thrown on our floor, while dumping and filling tanks; in Arizona and Wyoming. I keep him on a premium food, and watch his diet closely. This was not his dog food! After taking pictures, I tossed it in the trash.

Billy-Bob gone, Koda, wanted out again. He seemed to be feeling better, and gives me the yes; for a walk. We didn’t go far, he had another bout of diarrhea and headed back. I got to thinking; it must have been that dog food. Saturday, when we had the convoy of hate, the screen door was open. Someone could have put some under the drivers seat (that’s where it always shows up), and Koda could have eaten it, while I was occupied. We had a lot of Half-wit action, over the weekend.

I had taken pictures of Billy-Bob, his truck and truck plates. I called the Sheriff’s department, and told them someone was trying to poison my dog. They sent an officer out fairly quickly (a first). The officer parked on the road behind us, walked up to our camp. Koda, greeted him with wagging tail, and hopes of kisses. The first thing the officer said was “you have a clean camp”. I told him I worked in Yosemite, care about the waterway that’s close, and public lands. He was very receptive, took pictures of the pictures I had, of Billy-Bob and his truck. He asked if I had pissed someone off recently. I told him I was a Government Whistleblower. I said; all you have to do now-a-days, is look at someone the wrong way, and you have 20 some people mobbing you. I’m not afraid to stand up for myself. Went on to tell him about, the weekend of local Bottom-Feeders. That I’ve seen many of them at the station, and passing back and forth. When we step out of the motorhome. He said something about Meth-heads, the busy road, and a lot of motorcycles, in this area. I pointed to where the two trucks parked Saturday morning, waking us up. They were not Meth-heads. They were driving 60-70 Thousand dollar trucks. The Black Ford Superduty had an American Flag decal covering the back window. It also had, a local Home Builder Decal, on the back window. Colorado Plate # BUH-T20.

The officer came in; looked at the dog food, I still had in the trash. Asked to look at Koda’s food. I said sure. He said “It looks fancy”. He filled out the report. He politely, gave me some advice on where I may move to. I told him, I wasn’t moving until I was forced to. My funds are limited, and I needed to watch my spending. I have a couple of appointments, at the Grand Junction, VA. He gave me a card with the case number and left.

The rest of the day was so quiet, so was Tuesday. This is common, until the Bottom Feeders get the go-ahead. Tuesday night, the noise campaign picked back up. Again, about 4 hours sleep. Wednesday, when we woke; the Black Ford with the Decals, and plate # BUH-T20, was parked in the same spot. He waits until were up, Koda takes his pee, then comes back with his motorcycle. Slamming doors, other crap, and tailgate. Waiting around, for me to come over and say something. Fuck him, I didn’t. He’s just another Want-a-bee. He wants to be noticed, wants to feel important, wants a pat on the back from his buddies. FUCK HIM, and his buddies! Then we had the another Want-a-bee, waiting at the top of the hill. Waiting for Koda and I, to step out again. So, he could drive slowly by. As he does, Koda lets out a loud yelp. Sets down quickly, aggressively scratching his left shoulder. They use Electronic Torture, on him too.

It’s Thursday morning. The trucks kept us up pass 3 am. Then, wake us up again, before 7 am. I take Koda out to pee; two State Highway Dump trucks drive pass, jack breaking. Almost breaking their necks; looking at us, as they pass on the highway. I’m writing this on about 3 hours sleep. As I do, the white plane is back. Looks like the same one, over the weekend. It circles over the motorhome twice. 1:08 pm, Koda is acting anxious. He goes to the front of the motorhome, sets looking at me, panting. I know it’s Bottom-Feeder time. We go out. As he lifts his leg on a bush; the plane is back. It flies right over us, high enough, not to have it’s numbers recognized. It banks back toward the Grand Junction, Airport. I broke my only long lens in Arizona. It happened; as my left leg dragged, caught on a rock, and I fell. I busted my nose, lips and the lens. Koda, leaning over me, licking the blood from my face.

I used to say “This is not the United States, it can’t be who we are”. The hard truth is; this is the United States of America, in it’s true form. These Gang Stalkers, before, hiding in the shadows. Not anymore. Knowing our Government, our Career Legislators; could care less about the American People. They could care less about who lives or dies, in this country. As long as their Corporate Buddies, the Defense Contractors; keep feeding their campaigns, their coffers. Our own President, showing where his loyalties lie. Holding public meetings with his Corporate Friends, while their employees struggle to feed themselves and their families. He talks about the 1%, that serves this country, but signs Billions away to the Chip Industries, before the Veterans in direr need of medical care. And, when they get that funding; Administrators and Staff, will pick and chose who may or may not receive care. As billions are funneled off to contractors. Where is Nancy? Off poking the bear in the eye. Securing her and her husbands special interest. The Republicans are no better! Me, waiting, being denied, delayed; of any meaningful diagnosis, or prognosis. By the staff at the Grand Junction and Phoenix, VA Hospitals. Meanwhile, being Gaslighted, told “We look forward to seeing you. Have a Great Day”. Wouldn’t you say so; Ruth….

My daughter begging me to “Come On Home”. Telling me, she doesn’t want to find me dead, laying on my floor. Like my sister did our father. A loving father, tormented by PTSD . Tormented, by his neighbor's children; because of the color of his skin, his accent. How can I tell her; I cant bring this shit to her door. Her family’s door. How can I tell her; it may be sooner than expected because of the VA. Because of the Government Contractors; testing Direct Energy Weapons, on US Citizens. The CIA, FBI, and Homeland Security Directors; turning their backs on the American People. American History, repeating itself...

I’m not trying to be a drama queen. The truth is often ugly and hidden. Here you have it. Please, don’t take it lightly. This is what happens to United States Citizens, that dare to speak out, about the vast corruption within our government, the defense and medical industry, and corporate America. This is what happens to Targeted Individuals, Whistleblowers, in the United States of America.

I don’t want your pity, your money, or fame. I want the World to know the truth, about the United States of America.

I think this is consistently my most popular colour in a dress. It's weird as it's not my favourite colour in real life. That honour goes to yellow, but it's not a great colour to dress in for me.

The only flycatcher species that are year round residents in San Francisco, Black Phoebes wag their tails pretty consistently. One theory is that this tail wagging (or pumping) is designed to show predators that the bird is healthy and alert, and would not be easy prey. Black Phoebes survive almost entirely on insects, although there are reports of them eating fish on occasion. The male Black Phoebe shows the female potential nest sites by hovering in front of a likely spot. The female makes the final decision about where to place the nest and does all the construction. Right now there are at least two pairs of Black Phoebes with young at Fort Mason. The attached picture showing two young birds and a parent in the act of feeding was taken on May 24, 2020 at Fort Mason.
