Rt#1 crosses the Susquehanna River on the Conowingo Dam. There's an area mid river where Bald Eagles next.
Conowingo HydroElectric Plant, Maryland. I normally don't enhance this much, but the dramatic colorization just seemed to work well given the cloud formation seemingly emanating from the electric generating plant.
Bald Eagle with a catch below the Conowingo Hydroelectric Dam in Maryland, which was completed in 1928. The U.S. Route 1 Highway crosses over the top of the dam. U.S. Rt. 1 is the longest north-south highway in the United States and runs from Key West, Florida to Fort Kent, Maine on the Canadian border.

Unfortunately I did not have much luck photographing the Bald Eagles. We did have an Eagle put on quite a show for us though. He was a bit of a camera ham.

Conowingo Interactions
While there are far fewer eagles at Conowingo Dam than are present at the height of the season, many interesting interactions still occur between the bald eagles, black vultures and great blue heron

Spent a few hours at the Conowingo Dam in northern Maryland today watching the eagles. Still learning my 7D2.
Trip to Conowingo Dam to try and photograph the eagles - not terribly successful, as I do not have a lens for it and first time trying.

Conowingo Dam is famous for its eagles, so I was excited to visit, even if it was overcast and I only had a couple hours before I had to leave to catch my flight.
I did a decent amount of post-processing to pull the shadows up on the bird and bring out the blue in the sky.
