Finding Connection
We are all different but yet we are all the same . We are all fragile but yet we are all strong . Our life is a mystery games .
I have had this orchid since over two month now and just realized last night that I never took a picture of this plant. So since it was pretty windy outdoors I started photographing indoors ;-))
Take a look in the lightbox if you have time!!
Thanks for Martin.
[There are many connections that holds things together to some extent...mankind, nature...alive, lifeless...visible and invisible substances. These links hold our Universe together like the unseen strings of dark matter. The question is how long..]

I’m always amazed by the obscure connections people have with each other - seemingly in the middle of nowhere. This woman, Louisa MacKenzie, was born in 1793 in Northern Alberta - around the same time her father’s cousin became the first European to traverse Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Traveling all the way to Ontario would have been a feat in of itself around that time but somehow she did, married a couple of times, and ultimately was the great grandmother of Dr. Norman Bethune, - a Canadian icon. She died in 1833 and was laid to rest here in a very small cemetery accessible by gravel road and forest path. I’m sure at the time, it would have been a picturesque area on a cliff overlooking the shores Lake Superior - before nature reclaimed it.

Thomas has also taught me the real nature of companionable silence. Often he nestles into the cradle of my legs while I’m reading and it reminds me of the way it feels to read to a small child. Like that child’s chubby hand, Thomas will rest a paw on my arm or leg--making a connection. He seems to radiate good humor and innocence as he sits quietly facing me with a look of contentment. When I smile at Thomas and look into his eyes, he sustains the eye contact and his smile deepens in response. It is an electrical connection, penetrating and steady. Full of meaning. I am taken aback because I am conditioned to not believe that what I am seeing is possible. Without words we are able to convey our mutual pleasure in each other’s company; he recognizes and responds to my facial expression with one of his own.

Delta Connection Embraer ERJ-175LR N609CZ operated by Compass Airlines lands at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport with a flight from Los Angeles. I heard today that the airline is due to cease operations within the next two weeks due to the impact of the current Coronavius outbreak - the world felt a very different place when I took this shot less than two months ago...

This poor little lonely heart was looking for a love connection.(~.~)
Parallel Vision word of the week~Connection.
I had to scrap my original idea and go for something light hearted(pun intended) and fun.
(2) trains streak past the former connections from the IRT Times Square Shuttle to the IRT Broadway-7th Avenue Line. Part of the original IRT system, these connections brought trains from the Upper West Side down to City Hall via the Lex.
This location gave me good practice on long-exposure shots. I also wanted to make sure I got this shot before it disappears: major changes are coming to the Shuttle in the near future.

I love how thew bridge is able to connect the two shores of different states. I think about how God built the bridge to Him through Jesus. How much beauty is here in an ordinary span and what true beauty will be shown to me when I cross from this life to the next. For now all I can do is stand in the foreground and admire Him from afar. Hope you all have a wonderful week. Sorry I haven't been around as much as I would like to be. Hopefully that will change soon.
