A several hundred year old stone footbridge that crosses the Alzette river. It connects the Siechentor gate tower with the Eichertor gate tower. When Luxembourg was still a fortress, the bridge was part of the outer fortress wall and was equipped with embrasures.

Chesil Beach is 18 miles (28 kilometres) long and, on average, 160 metres wide and rises to 12 metres in height. It is a pebble and shingle tombolo connecting Portland to Abbotsbury and then continuing north-westwards to West Bay near Bridport. It is the largest tombolo in the UK.

Wie de trein als alternatief ziet voor het vliegverkeer kan maar beter een boot kopen, want mijn hemel wat een vocht daalde er neer. ;) Vandaag, 3 oktober 2021, rijdt de Connecting Europe Express vanuit Bad Bentheim naar Amsterdam Centraal en heeft daarmee al heel wat kilometers gemaakt. De trein is op 2 september in Lissabon begonnen met een tour door Europa om een ultieme ervaring te krijgen met de trein door het continent. Op 7 oktober zal de Connecting Europe Express aanmeren in Parijs waarbij de ronde is voltooid.
Net na twaalven stuift NSI E-loc 1752 met zes fraaie rijtuigen als trein 13410 in stijl door Twello richting Amersfoort en Amsterdam Centraal. Morgen zal de trein het land via België weer verlaten.
Across cultures all over the globe, there are a few notable threads that seemingly connect us. Some qualities such as being able to read body language, our appreciation for good food, and our need to love and be loved just to name a few. Well, this cookie tin is one of those things. At some point in our lives did we probably stumble upon a tin similar to this one and, with bated breath, become giddy with the anticipation of devouring a morsel only to be met with a prick to our souls of finding out it's Grandma's sewing supplies. Well, fear no longer! With this new bento mesh, you'll have butter cookies for you and your loved ones until you're butter-cookied-out. Never have the disappointment of opening a mysterious tin and have your expectations crushed. Unless of course, you ate too many cookies and your pants happen to rip and you badly need a sewing kit then sorry, you're shit out of luck.

Kojori Fortress was built atop Azeuli Mountain, at a height of 1,250 metres above sea level. According to historians, the fortress was constructed sometime during the 11th century. Built in multiple layers atop the cliffs, this fortress once protected the caravan road connecting Tbilisi to Armenia, and was of immense strategic importance during the Middle Ages.
Korjoli Fortress was built of crushed stone and brick, and was plastered with thick mortar. Today, only the ruins of the walls and two of its towers remain, but these ruins speak to numerous battles and sieges over the centuries. The ruins afford visitors a beautiful view of Kartli’s wide-open spaces.
The last battle to take place at Kojori Fortress took place in 1921, when the 11th Army of the Russian Red Army faced Georgian cadets. A memorial in honour of these fallen cadets stands there today.
In addition to its historical value, Kojori is also a spectacular place for relaxing in nature, having a picnic, and doing a little light hiking in the nearby forest. This region, once the summer residence of kings, is today open to the public to enjoy.
My search for a new scenic locations continues. This is a quite far located village in my region. About 200 km of bad roads of clay. But what a good location this is. I don't remember so many birds and animals living wild and so close to the people. And people living so close to each other and so welcomed us, the aliens.
The most attractive subject in this village is a wooden bridge - not reliable but poetic. Especially in the early morning hour. We spent several hours walking there and back, watching the sun goes up and the company of swans that stopped for a sleep while we were there.

Daily Garneau to Chambord A468 is passing along the Rivière à Pierre on its way northbound to deliver well needed empties.
Tomorrow, the same set of power will return on southbound A469 in a 3+2 power configuration, bringing a much more heavier train over this tortuous and difficult territory to operate.
