Main story
There are two reasons why a person faces the sea.

I had a very sweet girlfriend when I was 18.

she left, how many times did I depend too much on her, doubt her, envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me, a guy filled with ambiguous, unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.
Now I finally can convey how I felt in those days when we met.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

Main story

until I realized it is love?

daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me, a guy filled with ambiguous, unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。

Although this started out as a test shot with my Hasselblad 500C/M and CFVII digital back configuration for imaging the night sky, I decided that it was actually worth posting. It shows the stars in a classic part of the Milky Way from a Southern Hemisphere viewpoint.
The Pointers, Alpha and Beta Centauri in the Centaurus Constellation, are the two bright stars on the centre left of the image. The Southern Cross, in the Crux Constellation, are the bright stars on the centre right of the image.
Just below and to the left of the Southern Cross is a dark patch that is known as the Coalsack. Patches like this are thought to be clouds of dust that block the light from the stars that are behind them, and hence appear as dark regions. Surrounding this nebula, the masses of stars in the Milky Way combine to increase the brightness of this portion of the sky.
I went into this exercise with low expectations because this Hasselblad 500 V-series camera in combination with CCD sensor in the CFVII digital back is not at all good for imaging in low light conditions. I would also aware that I was taking the photograph in an area that has moderate levels of ambient light. However, when I did some online research and compared this image with images of the same portion of the sky that had been acquired in locations with low ambient light levels and with cameras better suited to low light astrophotography, I was somewhat surprised by the level of fidelity.
For this image, I used the widest aperture (f/2.8) that the 80mm focal length lens allowed, an exposure length of 30 seconds, and an ISO value of 50.
The "500 rule" is a rule of thumb that provides estimates of the maximum exposure length before stars will appear as light trails rather than points of light. This rule states that this exposure length in seconds is 500 divided by the focal length of the lens in 35mm format equivalent terms. The medium format of the 500 V-series camera coupled with the crop factor of the CFVII digital back provides a factor of approximately 1 when converting the lens focal length into 35mm format equivalent terms. Hence, the 500 rule would suggest a maximum exposure length of just over 6 seconds should be used to obtain an image where stars appear as points of light. I significantly exceeded this time (i.e., 30 seconds) because I needed more light. Close inspection of the image clearly shows that each star is imaged as a short light trail.
The maximum exposure time for the CFVII digital back is 32 seconds. This is a consequence of the heat that is generated in the CCD sensor. Modern CMOS sensors draw far less power and can provide much longer exposure times. I used an exposure length close to this maximum (i.e., 30 seconds).
The ISO of the CCD sensor in the CFVII back is limited to values between 50 and 400. Tests that I have carried out have suggested that the sensor noise for ISO values above 50 make it counterproductive to use the higher ISO values in low light situations. In stark contrast, modern CMOS sensors can provide usable images with some astounding ISO values (e.g., more than 100,000). These values turn night into day!
Given the elevated ambient light levels of this city location and the limitations of the camera, I was actually quite pleased with this result. It certainly encourages me to consider future opportunities for night sky photography with this camera.

Post-processing ...
Finder - I removed the CF card from the camera digital back and placed it in a USB card reader. I then used Finder on my MacBook Air to download the raw image file (3FR extension) from the card.
Lightroom - Imported the 3FR image. Applied various adjustments in the Develop module. Output the image as a JPEG image using the "Maximum" quality option (4080 x 4080 pixels).
photoFXlab - Applied the "Topaz Simplify Dust 1" filter. Then applied the "Topaz DeNoise JPEG Light" filter with various custom settings (including color and de-banding). Then applied some post-filter overall lighting adjustments in the main photoFXlab module. Saved the image as a JPEG image using the "Maximum" quality option (4080 x 4080 pixels).
PhotoSync - Copied the JPEG file to my iPad Mini for the final processing steps and posting to social media.
Investigator - Located where I made the photograph using the mapping option and added the geographic coordinates to the EXIF data.
Handy Photo - Retouched some streaks, empirically noted to be artifacts that occur around bright spots in the image when the maximum exposure time of 32 seconds of the CFVII digital back is utilized.
Snapseed - Applied a Glamour Glow filter and some overall lighting adjustments.
ExifEditor - Copied the EXIF data from the Investigator output image to the current working image.

No, that’s not a typo. It was July 1954 when D17 rolled off the Radford production line. Just a year after the Coronation and the Korean War armistice. Winston Churchill was Prime Minister. No-one had heard of Vietnam. Mick Jagger was in junior school. Transport wise, it was four months since London Transport deployed the final delivery of new RTs and exactly two years since their last tram ran; although there remained twelve active systems in the UK. Glasgow’s last four Coronation cars were delivered that year. British Railways was mass-producing steam locomotives at five works. British European Airways' latest aircraft was the Viscount. Hong Kong number plates did not include letters.
Fast forward to March 1982. The "Westerns" are long gone. The last "Deltics" have just been withdrawn. Margaret Thatcher is Prime Minister. The Falklands War is brewing. But the Gardner-powered time machine is still being thrashed around the streets and hills of Kowloon with capacity loads. She was built as a traditional open platform rear-loader but KMB has seen fit to add a front door to the lower deck and automatic doors for one-man operation. Sadly she was withdrawn the following year so did not quite make thirty years in service.

A wonderful 1970/71 McDonnell Douglas Corp. artist’s concept of their ‘Phase B’ shuttle concept, either delivering and/or deploying some sort of first aid/emergency-medical module to the stricken craft in the lower right. Also note the transparent ‘observation dome’ of the damaged ship, with what appears to be “Space Ghost” looking out at the operation. I see no Remote Manipulator System (RMS), so I’m assuming the rescue module either has its own propulsion/attitude maneuvering system, or that it’s been erected/rotated into position, but remains attached to the orbiter, which will maneuver to dock it with the damaged vehicle.
And, thanks to the SECRET PROJECTS Forum website, the orbiter can be more specifically identified as “Configuration 176 C”…I think. Specifically thanks to user flateric’s June 4, 2007 post, as extracted from AIAA paper 78-1469, “Space Shuttle Orbiter Configuration Case History”, presented at the AIAA AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE, Los Angeles, California, August 21-23, 1978.

Although I love the work, to me, this particular design has a caricaturish appearance, like something a satirical cartoonist would’ve depicted to poke fun at the shuttle program. Finally, the artist is R. Noel. Huh…who? First heard…with nothing on him/her.
Finally, in a similar operation, featuring the Phase A, McDonnell Douglas drawbridge-wing orbiter, in which the shuttle itself is marked as the “ambulance”, although still with a first-aid marked module in the payload bay. However, a risky, possibly ‘casualty conducive’ EVA is being conducted:

Finally & fortunately, the image, along with several others, is featured on the cover of “SPACEFLIGHT”, Volume 13, No. 12, December 1971, published by the British Interplanetary Society. The description of it is as follows:
“…depicts the shuttle orbiter marked with rescue insignia deploying a rescue canister from its 60 ft. long cargo bay. The canister would be docked with the nearby space tug which is assumed to have been crippled in Earth orbit. The space tug crew transfer to the shuttle orbiter through the rescue canister for return to Earth.”

A gorgeous & sexy ca. 1970 Grumman Aerospace Corporation model of its proposed “Design 532” Phase B Space Shuttle design. And, from the treasure trove of information within the “Phase B Proposal for Space Shuttle Program Study” document at the NTRS website:
“DESIGN 532
Design 532 is a quite different response which we believe holds promise for answering the question "Can we limit the program risk?" If Design 518 yields a program requiring a funding pattern as shown in Fig. S-2, we will face a situation which may permit neither the development of the space shuttle system nor the development of its payloads. This consideration as well as the NASA/MSC interest in a smaller, simpler, vehicle which could fly earlier, led to the development of Design 532.
Design 532 is a fully reusable, two-stage space shuttle with an initial low cross-range payload of 12,800 lb. Design 532 is also designed for the high aerodynamic cross-range potential and makes provisions for phased implementation of increased payload and performance capability. This approach permits a stepwise increase in capability and growth while decoupling the technical risk and reducing initial cost. Using engines and electronics derived from existing equipment should assure an earlier first flight. Additional performance becomes available with introduction of the high-pressure orbiter engines with a payload of 22,600 lb.
The Design 532 booster is fully reusable with LOX/RP-1 propellants and five F1 engines. A deliberately conservative approach to the design of the booster minimizes technical risk and cost by avoiding development of large-scale hydrogen tankage. Development savings of several hundred million dollars per year appear possible for this orbiter-booster combination.
The Design 532 orbiter will, at first, use three J2S engines, operate at low cross range, and be fitted with first generation avionics. The baseline Design 532 orbiter is achieved by subsequent installation of the high Isp, high-pressure 250,000 lb. thrust engines. Improved thermal protection systems extend cross range, and second-generation electronics improve operational efficiency. We believe that operational experience with the orbiter will show that for certain missions the air-breathing engines are not required. Therefore, the flying qualities have been tailored to accommodate both engine weight in and engine weight out cg positions. Removal of the air-breathing engines and reduction of on-orbit propellant will increase payload capacity to orbit to 52,700 lb. As a further step to make even heavier up-payloads possible, we have made provisions for a potential non-reusable kick stage. This would raise the payload limit to 76,500 lb. In conjunction with this attention to capacity for heavy payloads, the Design 532 cargo bay has been conceived as a "flat-bed" sized for a 10 ft. diameter payload carried internally, 15 ft. diameter carried semi-submerged, and for 22 ft. diameter carried externally.
To summarize, Design 532 is based on the following considerations:
- Reduced initial funding requirements
- Payload flexibility and growth
- Early initial flight date and initial operational capability"
Further, from the same document, addressing the big thing attached to the tail of the orbiter:
“Growth Configurations
Grumman's baseline program for Design 532, described in the Summary, makes provisions for growth beyond the baseline system capabilities. These include a change to second generation avionics which will increase mission reliability by developing to the Fail Ops/Fail Ops/Fail Safe criteria through increased redundancy. (These changes can be limited to those systems which have shown troublesome behavior tendencies in operating experience.) Increased autonomy will also be achieved.
By far, the most significant capability increase will be brought about in payload size and weight that can be delivered to orbit.
We are including Phase B studies of extra-large diameter payloads to 22 ft, and an expendable kick stage that will provide payload capabilities of more than 70,000 lb. to space station orbits or 50,000 lb.

For use with heavy orbiter payloads, a kick stage is added behind the orbiter. Low cost is the primary criterion in the design of this expendable component. Separate LH2 and L02 tanks with ellipsoidal domes avoid the expense of a common bulkhead. These 19 ft diameter tanks are joined by a cylindrical section. At each end, a conical transition section transmits thrust. The forward transition attaches to four built-in thrust points around the center engine of the orbiter. The aft transition supports the four LH₂/LOX engines, their plumbing and actuators. Engine nozzles are shielded by a conical skirt. Gimballing is restricted to 7 deg radially outboard and ± 1 deg tangentially for roll control. This provides adequate control and reduces cost. Instrumentation and controls are reduced to a minimum. The overall length of the stage, before nozzle extension, is 65 ft. Total weight of the kick stage is 230,000 lb. at liftoff. The ideal delta V supplied to an orbiter carrying 76,500 lb. of payload is 3500 fps.”
