Yoshi and I managed to get press passes to E3! For those of you who don't know what E3 is, its every nerd's wet dream. I've wanted to go to this thing since I owned my first computer. It's a very large convention that showcases all of the stuff that will change the gaming industry over the next couple of years. Stuff that no one else has ever seen before and stuff that you get to try out. Things such as the Xbox 360 and every other new system and game that will hit the market in the next year or two. The thing is that this event isn't open to the public, you either have to be in the industry or have a press pass. I happen to have the latter. So right after finals, it's off to California I go.
About this Photo: Starcraft was the first computer game I bought and played religiously. Ever since then I've always had a soft spot for Blizzard and I looked forward to checking out their booth this year. Ever since the Brood War expansion, I've been desperately waiting for Blizzard to come out with Starcraft 2, but Blizzard seems to remain focused on their Warcraft series. When I heard about Starcraft Ghost a few years ago I was excited until I found out what it was. Starcraft Ghost is a game for console only, which is a first person shooter. I was even more disappointed when I found out that Blizzard contracted the game out and really had very little to do with it. None the less, Starcraft Ghost made up the bulk of the Blizzard booth. I was happy to see that the cut screens remained of the highest quality and in the spirit of the original Starcraft. When I started watching people play Ghost, I thought it was pretty cool to see someone fight a Hydralisk one on one, but it really was no replacement for Starcraft.
Blizzard didn't have any booth babes but they did have a pretty cool looking model of a Ghost.

Visual proof that my computers Chess-Titans game has some bug in it.
The game is a sore loser, cheats to win, or draws as a loss.
