Playful as ever, Robyn runs through the sands, dancing away between sand, light and grasses.
Just a little series of shots which combined I think sum her up.
These are the albums that have been removed from the collection.
My rules.
Allow a budget of, say, 1 crate for keepers.
Keep albums that have a special memory 'Spark Joy' - (Wasa Wasa and other EBB)
Keep the ones that are popularly considered classics (Sgt Pepper, LZ I,II, III, YBR etc.)
Keep the curios with special artwork - Ogdens Nut Gone Flake? - That Bad Japanese Michael Jackson picture vinyl
Consider making snapshots of those that are borderline, but put them into the departure pile. Flickr time maybe? That's this collection.
Aside from Motown Chartbusters Volume III and the Stax Sound, remove all the compilations.
Review those to be kept in light of CDs and remove those with decent CD alternatives (many Bowies - keep ZS, Changes, Hunky Dory)
Re-curate the remaining Keeps so they would be an interesting assortment if on a shelf adjacent to a functioning record player
Grade the deselected into (a) charity shop and (b) worthy of further effort
In this gently expanding photographic collection I'm not saying which goes where.

I wanted to use a live model for my own edification and knowledge. So I had to use the only model available - as much as I protested I offer up the model to the science of light.
Overcast low light day. 430ex 1/16 ~ 4 feet from subject. Space constraints brought the flash roughly 4' from subject. Canon 40d 1/200, f5.6, iso200.
These are approximate locations of flash from camera

tomorrow we are off to brecon to celebrate the 40th birthday of Sarah, the lovely wife of my best mate Tim. We all grew up listening to metal and still do, although our tastes have broadened. She asked for home-made presents, which is a great idea, so here is a 4cd compilation of some metal tracks, all taken from the original vinyl.
Now playing, this very compilation to check it burned ok, so far so good and "Peace Sell" - megadeth still sounds as good as it did way back....
Exciting and well spent hours in the biggest mueseum I have ever seen...

This photo was meant to be paired with a poem a friend of mine wrote while he was in the midst of a gnarly break-up. He felt it was to personal for me to share, and I respect that. However, after a few months I have stumpled on the image, and removed his poem to share my half of the compilation.
It was titled Broken Promise.
