Compilation of images from Ranthambore Tiger Preserve in Rajasthan India. While the tiger marking its territory is cool I wanted to draw particular attention to the deer – if you can zoom in check out the eyes and you’ll notice 2 moths – 1 under each eye. It’s not a great picture but bizarre to see moths feeding on what I can guess are the tears of the deer! Insects are renowned for their strange tastes in food, but rare are those that feast on tears. When researchers announced back in the 1990’s that certain moths drank tears, their news was greeted with skepticism. Some entomologists thought it a freak behavior, but subsequent research has revealed tear drinking to be a specialized and sophisticated strategy. Moths that drink tears are fussy in their tastes, restricting their attentions to certain species of animal. The usual victims are either hoofed mammals, like the deer pictured here.
Was als Einzelobjekt unscheinbar anmutet, gewinnt in der Zusammenstellung erkennbar an Bedeutung.
Clean your glasses. It's not a fake :-)
to awaken in a cheap room
in a strange city and
pull up the shade- -
this was the craziest kind of
contentment
and walk across the floor
to an old dresser with a
cracked mirror- -
see myself, ugly
grinning at it all.
what matters most is
how well you
walk through the
fire.
Charles Bukowski
Eine sehr weiche Farbgebung bei klarem, aber verhaltenen Licht. Manches lässt sich verwirklichen ohne stets ISO100 zu erzwingen.

A compilation of shots of a red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) taking flight in the last sunlight of the day.
I will also be taking flight from Flickr for a few days while away from internet coverage, but will try to catch up when I return.
Blau gilt als die Lieblingsfarbe der meisten Menschen. Hier fügt es sich gut ein.
Blue is considered the favorite color of most people. Sky, water, jeans - we find it everywhere :)
Flight pattern of a Green Heron. (A compilation of 5 different shots.). The light wasn't the best but it I was still happy to get him!
I experimented with a photograph of an office building somewhere in Poland. From a forest of tetrahedrons that I had created a few weeks earlier as an experiment, I integrated one of the tetrahedrons into the image. The aim was to charmingly combine colours and shapes.
I spent quite a while trying to capture the “perfect” shot of a Purple Martin, but no one individual image seemed to reach that level. So, rather than condemn them to the archives, I have gathered a dozen shots, some of males, some of females.

YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE – ELVIS PRESLEY
Sometimes in life we come full circle
I see a footprint of my beginning
and here I am back at the start
I see the people who tried to stop me winning
but I rise above them; and leave them far behind
I draw a line in shifting, whispering grains of sand
and something deep inside me drives me on
no looking back; I am complete; I understand
sometimes in life we cannot win them over
it's not our job; it's for a greater Hand
and He will guide me on my journey
bring me safely to the shore
where angels sing; rejoice and hold me
and I will not be frightened any more
He sees in us the pain; the human burden
He sees the weight that life and people bring
He knows how much; He knows and He is certain
He will not give us more than we can take
so that in our hearts and souls we'll always sing
and when at last our cup is brimming over
He lays his Hand upon our heads and soothes our brow
and we feel the greatest love that ever found us
and we are comforted and lighter; it is a miracle somehow
and once more we are peaceful
finding joy in simple things
as darkness; shadows and all our plights
are left behind and taken care of;
whisked away on angel's wings
and soon the lines of strain are smoothed; not furrowed
as clouds reveal the stars of wonder and ethereal light
and we begin to live at last the ever after; forget tomorrow
this moment we exist; and in this moment
I am complete; I am content right here, right now.

Lucky to encounter this talented jet ski rider this morning. Usually taking bird images, therefore something different for my photostream. Lots of winter fun on the water. The light was catching the jet ski generated waves.
The other day I was surprised to see a Peregrine Falcon! It swooped and dove, and then flew off while I captured him in flight. It's a youngster named Solstice I later found out. I put all the in-flight shots into one image because I thought it was kind of fun that way.
Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.

LA VIE EN ROSE by LAURA & ANTON
THE CIRCLE OF YOUR ARMS
Remember that evening way back in another age and place
When Paris in the Latin quarter was just the place to be
You played this song on your violin and I sang and played guitar
the golden hour when the night absorbs the day
came streaming through the window and fell upon my hair
the warmth like tender hands upon my skin
felt so sweet and love found it's way into my heart
I looked to you and shyly you looked away
and deep inside I felt a shift within my soul
felt the magnetism as your soul met mine
the appartement that we rented
from Madame et Monsieur Henri Renard
so steamy hot in Summer yet set within a stone courtyard
we flung the shuttered windows open and felt the cool night air
a ladder stood against the wall; not tall enough to reach our lair
our imagination carried us to other worlds; a place among the stars
as we lay there in the darkness and looked up to the sky so far
a wedding in the countryside; I'd wear sunflowers in my hair
you'd carry me across the threshold of our cottage that we'd share
we'd eat a simple meal of bread and cheese,
washed down with lilac wine
and watch each other tenderly with smiling eyes that shine
with tears of joy that sometimes spilled on to our cheeks
and mingled with each others as you danced me on your feet
Remember that first waltz you taught me
when I was only then fourteen
so many other dances since but I never forgot that one
I giggled like the child I was; we fell about until
the dress for dinner gong resounded in our ears
and echoed in the hall
an hour to dress for dinner but we didn't need that long
so we continued our clumsy dancing until the second gong
childish dreams expanded into our grown up world
and time that once pulled us far apart
at last brought me back to the circle of your arms.

My first time ever seeing the Aurora was Aug 2024 and specifically got a camera March 2025 to try to capture the lights. This is a combo of handheld iPhones realtime video, iPhone 16pro Timelapse, and CanonR6 Timelapse. My best views were during the coldest week of the year and my frozen fingers hurt doing anything with and without my gloves. Once putting gloves on, my hands hurt from just quick moments of only thin gloves or no gloves. I would leave my camera to do Timelapse and enjoy the sky during that time but tried to also record some on my phone. iPhones freeze and stop working in extreme temps and my hands were too froze to try to get phone into a tripod. Screen is cracked from putting it in tripod in extreme cold. One timelapse is from placing my phone on top of my car.
I can’t see the lights every night like it may seem but I take full advantage when I can. When chasing the lights I go to the dark and it can be unsettling and spooky at times. But once I see the Aurora I feel so excited and thrilled and time flies. Most of this footage is from one single night I stayed out 12 hours -30C til blue hour
