Compilation of images from Ranthambore Tiger Preserve in Rajasthan India. While the tiger marking its territory is cool I wanted to draw particular attention to the deer – if you can zoom in check out the eyes and you’ll notice 2 moths – 1 under each eye. It’s not a great picture but bizarre to see moths feeding on what I can guess are the tears of the deer! Insects are renowned for their strange tastes in food, but rare are those that feast on tears. When researchers announced back in the 1990’s that certain moths drank tears, their news was greeted with skepticism. Some entomologists thought it a freak behavior, but subsequent research has revealed tear drinking to be a specialized and sophisticated strategy. Moths that drink tears are fussy in their tastes, restricting their attentions to certain species of animal. The usual victims are either hoofed mammals, like the deer pictured here.
Was als Einzelobjekt unscheinbar anmutet, gewinnt in der Zusammenstellung erkennbar an Bedeutung.
Clean your glasses. It's not a fake :-)
Eine sehr weiche Farbgebung bei klarem, aber verhaltenen Licht. Manches lässt sich verwirklichen ohne stets ISO100 zu erzwingen.
A gentle gradient. Every princess would be happy :-)
Da sieht man wie sehr sich Fachkenntnisse und langjährige Erfahrung bemerkbar machen. Dieser Gärtner versteht sein Handwerk.
The work of an experienced gardener.
I experimented with a photograph of an office building somewhere in Poland. From a forest of tetrahedrons that I had created a few weeks earlier as an experiment, I integrated one of the tetrahedrons into the image. The aim was to charmingly combine colours and shapes.
I spent quite a while trying to capture the “perfect” shot of a Purple Martin, but no one individual image seemed to reach that level. So, rather than condemn them to the archives, I have gathered a dozen shots, some of males, some of females.

Lucky to encounter this talented jet ski rider this morning. Usually taking bird images,therefore something different for my photostream. Lots of winter fun on the water. The light was catching the jet ski generated waves.
Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.

My first time ever seeing the Aurora was Aug 2024 and specifically got a camera March 2025 to try to capture the lights. This is a combo of handheld iPhones realtime video, iPhone 16pro Timelapse, and CanonR6 Timelapse. My best views were during the coldest week of the year and my frozen fingers hurt doing anything with and without my gloves. Once putting gloves on, my hands hurt from just quick moments of only thin gloves or no gloves. I would leave my camera to do Timelapse and enjoy the sky during that time but tried to also record some on my phone. iPhones freeze and stop working in extreme temps and my hands were too froze to try to get phone into a tripod. Screen is cracked from putting it in tripod in extreme cold. One timelapse is from placing my phone on top of my car.
I can’t see the lights every night like it may seem but I take full advantage when I can. When chasing the lights I go to the dark and it can be unsettling and spooky at times. But once I see the Aurora I feel so excited and thrilled and time flies. Most of this footage is from one single night I stayed out 12 hours -30C til blue hour

SHAPE OF MY HEART by STING
WHAT IS THE SHAPE OF MY HEART WITHOUT HIM
Addiction is a funny thing; it takes you by surprise
You think that you're just having fun;
not aware you're telling lies
He gambled away all that he had,
didn't realise until it was gone
now he shuffles through the darkness;
eyes cast down to hide his shame
He doesn't even see me closely following
he is hollowed out from deep within
we move in very different circles now;
we live through varied; indifferent times
His steps are small and slow; unhurried;
he has no place to go.
my steps are faster; quickly hurrying
I wonder if he even knows
and if he feels me as I pass him by
he shows no trace of recognition;
doesn't question why
He gambled everything we had
he gambled away his life
the stakes were high;
but when the chips were down
he gambled away our love
I spent so long in trying to save him
because he wouldn't save himself
reasoning became so pointless; futile;
he wouldn't fight to spare my health
he sold my art to feed his habit
sold my diamond engagement ring
with sapphires like my bright blue eyes
now clouded when I sing
but what is the definition of addiction
can anyone among us tell me why
I would waste my life in chasing something
that was only born to live so long then die
what is the shape of my heart without him
it lies broken; shattered on the floor
the angels tried to piece it back together again
but it will never be as good as it was before
Once something so very beautiful is broken
there's a fragile weakness that remains
and the glue that once held you altogether
never sets as fast or strong again.

Compilation of three shots of surf scoters in San Diego Bay, San Diego, California, USA. The surf scoter is a large sea duck, which breeds in Canada and Alaska. The genus name is derived from Ancient Greek melas "black" and netta "duck".
¡Esquivel! (Juan García Esquivel), Space Age Bachelor Pad Music compilation, Bar/None Records AHAON-043, limited-edition blue vinyl with an orange label. (Interestingly, one of the songs on this record is a cover of "Bye Bye Blues".) 1950s–60s-era instrumentals were not my kind of sound, but, when I came to know the music in the early 1990s through a former work colleague, I was won over by the somewhat exaggerated production style of Esquivel's, taking great advantage of stereo reproduction.
I had listened to the first side of the LP the previous weekend and left it on the turntable after listening, putting the dustcover into place. In the interim, I forgot about the record, instead spending considerable time shooting another item for the orange/blue theme. Upon deciding to give side two a listen, I realized I overlooked a ready-made, more compelling subject, so here it is. Enjoy!
A compilation of some teasers Sander made for my upcoming A New Hope figures. I decided to do something different since I knew around this time Suicide Squad would be the mainstream custom figure theme.
Again, big thanks to Sander for putting all of these shots together, I can't thank him enough for it!
Sorry for the kind of late night post, Shane and I are getting ready for the 8 hour journey to BrickFair right now and I wanted to post this now so I can start posting figures tomorrow at BFVA.
See you all there!
Both partners face one another, open their wings wide and knock their bills together while uttering their usual call. This ritual serves to calm the male's aggressiveness and strengthen the pair's bond.
This photo is part of a compilation: 2nd/10.
I made a compilation of the pictures I upload before, but now in the way they aren't retouched.
I didn't upload pictures for a while, because I haven't got my camera the next weeks, so I'll only upload some old pictures I think. My excuse for not uploading any picture the last week.
