Inna - Gimme Gimme
Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu (born 16 October 1986), known professionally as Inna, is a Romanian singer and songwriter. Born in Mangalia and raised in Neptun, she studied political science at Ovidius University before meeting Romanian trio Play & Win and pursuing a music career. Inna adopted the stage name "Alessandra" in 2008 and adopted a pop-rock style; later that year, she changed her stage name to "Inna" and began releasing house music. "Hot" (2008), her debut single, was a commercial success worldwide and topped Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart. She signed with Ultra Records in April 2009. Her studio album of the same name followed in August 2009, and was certified Gold and Platinum.

I wanted to use a live model for my own edification and knowledge. So I had to use the only model available - as much as I protested I offer up the model to the science of light.

Above is the finish product for a box set containing 6 discs worth of iconic themes and scores from one of Hollywood's greatest composers, John Barry. A collection containing not just pieces of music, but memorable soundscapes from classics like Zulu, Midnight Cowboy, The Ipcress File, The Persuaders, Out Of Africa, Raise The Titanic, Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice... to name but a few.
Many of the films and their accompanying arrangements conjure up pictures of sweeping, moody landscapes and exceptional contours. With this being the case, a lot of John Barry albums and tributes take on this visual theme (see 'The Beyondness of Things'). So for this release I wanted to relate the artwork in a way that wouldn't just feel like repetition and would standout from the products already out there, whilst maintaining the visual relationship common among his work.
In order to do this the design had to take on a modern style, with the use of white space over and around the imagery. The result is a clean, consistent identity, characterised by the way the typography and layout has as much of an impact as the landscapes themselves.

Transport from Sark Harbour via the "Toast Rack" tractor and some of the horse and carriages on Sark.
MPS Records issued quite a few compilation LPs where the recordings are nowhere else. On ths one there is a version of "Take the A Train," by the Duke Ellington trio that can only be found on this LP.
Exciting and well spent hours in the biggest mueseum I have ever seen...

This photo was meant to be paired with a poem a friend of mine wrote while he was in the midst of a gnarly break-up. He felt it was to personal for me to share, and I respect that. However, after a few months I have stumpled on the image, and removed his poem to share my half of the compilation.
It was titled Broken Promise.
I posted the news clipping before but i'm curious if anyone can pick out where the street scene was taken?
Somewhere around the Linden Terace area presumably, maybe Tooley Street?
Baba Karam is a traditional Iranian dance that is based off a Sufi story where a servant at the court of the king falls in love with one of the harem girls and sings this song out of grief of not being able to be with her. In films, it is typified by an archetype of a slightly inebriated man who's a little too loose with his hips and shoulders.This dance is well loved and the staple of any Persian party.
