My first Blythe, customised by me (first&last). She's a little traveller. She viseted many palces with me, Berlin, Barcelona, Dubai, Zanzibar are just examples.
Shooting at 5fps... skipped posting the two in between as Flickr would end up resizing the image too small for my liking.
I shot this from the prone position and looking through the tall grass and small shrubs. Well, that was after having to crawl stomach first for about 50m so that they wouldn't be startled by my presence. These guys, like most other types of small ducks, are quite skittish - so 300mm is a lost battle unless you can get close by other means possible.

HIROSHI HASEGAWA;
Born in 1963, Hasegawa has begun his improvisation with his voice and percussion in early 80's. And in 1989, he formed the group C.C.C.C. which's concept was improvisational mass-noise with very loud sound. Also he has begun his solo unit ASTRO with analog synthesizers in 1993 as well as playing in C.C.C.C. and then he formed "Cosmic Coincidence" in 2010 with the members Manuel Knapp and Rohco, and ASTRO consists of Hasegawa and Rohco as a duo project since 2013.
Now he is actively playing and issuing and doing many collaboration with other artists. His playing style is like drifting between the meditation and awakening state with electronics and still he is pursuing it.
T. MIKAWA;
An office worker, but also has been doing noise improvisation as a member of Hijokaidan, Incapacitants, mn, GOMIKAWA, MikaTen and so on for more than 35 years. Recently he’s interested in solo noise performance.
HARSH NOISE MOVEMENT;
had been producing numerous bad quality cassettes featuring experimental loops and noises as early as 1984 for his own personal enjoyment. As the years passed by, and with the creation of the internet and sites such as YouTube, Harsh Noise Movement started to upload videos of his experimental sounds and realised that no one really cared about them. Then one day, he decided to stop being lazy and created a Bandcamp account. He couldn't think of a name for a label to put his sounds on, so he took the easy way out and used the initials of his noise project, hence HNM Records. He then made a few online accounts on social media sites and started communicating and working with lots of like minded noise artists. The name Harsh Noise Movement came as a sarcastic joke from 2011.
ROHCO;
Originally hailing from Chiba, Japan, Rohco is a sound-weaver based in Tokyo. Together with a noise artist Hiroshi Hasegawa, she starts a noise duo in 2009. In the following year, Manuel Knapp joins the two and forms a trio, Cosmic Coincidence.

BERGEGAS MATI;
A harsh noise/experimental project by Pandu, using a toys and something weird to made a disturbing sound. Bergegas Mati first perform is in Malang Cassette Store Day 2014 with Ari CK from Merico Abang, and released a cassette album called "Menyiasati Nona". About 2-3 gigs Bergegas Mati perform with Ari CK, around 2015 Pandu invite Ucon (ex.Carnivora Infection (voc)) to become Bergegas Mati vocal. Sometime Ucon play a guitar too. In 2016 Pandu and Ari CK record a studio album called "Pop Neraka", only 1 hour for them to made raw/disturbing/shit/fuck 17 songs. In May 2016, "Pop Neraka" is choosen by Village Voice (NY) as April's Best Noise Music with Christian Mirande and Theo Nugraha. Till now Bergegas Mati still active, made some album/split.

*The artefact tells the story*
The idea behind this documentary is very simple; nevertheless it results in a complex story. An Qi Ju asked, over the course of a year, to many different people to tell about their quilts. A quilt is a highly valued object in China, and everyone has at least one. We see students, soldiers, poor peasants and rich city people. We see how the quilt has a special meaning for marriage and for death. We see how people connect their hopes, dreams, lust, illusions, desires and fears to quilts.
Talking about the quilt is for An Qi Ju a way to collect many different personal stories. At first many people say a quilt is so mundane that there is nothing to say about it. But they do have personal stories about their quilts. We never stay long enough with one story to be able to attach ourselves to individuals in the film. The many people talking about their quilts and revealing parts of their daily lives in this film stay anonymous. But together they help us analyse the huge differences between modernity and traditions in Chinese society.
We see how quilts are made, at home and in factories. We see how quilts become old and worn-out but still are loved by their owners. We hear different opinions on what makes a good quilt. And we see how people use and treat quilts, with love or carelessly. This is not a story about the functions of quilts, it is about why people love certain quilts and do not care about others. The love for a quilt mostly comes form the story behind it, where it was made or bought, by whom, for what occasion, what people experienced in their lives over the periods they used the quilt, and so on.
The film shows that an artefact can tell stories, because the artefact has a meaning in the life of the people who use it. Even if people talk about the artefact, in fact they talk about themselves. And these stories are often more interesting than when you would have asked them directly about their marriage or the death of a loved one. You can’t really design for those stories I think, but it is good to realise that people will attach stories to the artefacts you design and how that influences their perception of the object. This can clearly inspire us at the beginning of a design process.

While these works often preceded a complete piece or were intended to provide a sort of reference to what the final piece may look like, I chose simply to compile them, thus emphasizing the idea that no great idea can be followed to fruition without initial conceptualization. Includes sketches by Rubens, da Vinci, Degas, Caravaggio, Michelangelo, and Pontormo.
