While shooting at the prison there were some old prints from the 30's hanging on the wall. One was the prisoners being marched across the yard - I compiled with one of the prison cell levels.

Flight pattern of a Green Heron. (A compilation of 5 different shots.). The light wasn't the best but it I was still happy to get him!
I spent quite a while trying to capture the “perfect” shot of a Purple Martin, but no one individual image seemed to reach that level. So, rather than condemn them to the archives, I have gathered a dozen shots, some of males, some of females.
This is a a compilation of 9 bracketed shots (from -4 to +4 EV) taken in near darkness. I bracketed the exposures to bring out the tonal range and deep colours after sunset tonight on the Ashdown Forest. Luckily there was no wind which meant I could keep everything sharp over the range of exposures. ISO 64 F/11.

Lucky to encounter this talented jet ski rider this morning. Usually taking bird images,therefore something different for my photostream. Lots of winter fun on the water. The light was catching the jet ski generated waves.
A compilation of eclipse phases of the moon over a light painted cottonwood tree. The moon was making its closest pass to Earth (perigee) associated with its elliptical orbit around Earth. As a result the moon appears brighter and larger, and is thus called a "super" moon.
During this eclipse nearly all the sunlight was filtered out except the rays that pass through the edges of Earth's atmosphere, which are rich in warm red tones and lacking blue wavelengths. This gives the fully eclipsed moon its red (blood) color.
Why call it the Wolf Moon (other than that it sounds cool)? According to the Farmer's Almanac Native Americans called it this because wolves were particularly vocal at this time- possibly to broadcast their territories to other wolf packs. Fittingly there were coyotes howling while I was taking these pictures.

a compilation of two photographs of branches. exciting, right? i know. sorry for the shitty quality. i had to zoom in (a lot) and then crop to what i was picturing in my brain. slight blur towards the edges. focus is on the middle bottom few slender branches. i'm in love with these tones.

After my long exposure shots in Berlin and Barcelona I wanted to do something similar. I tried it at the train station at Schiphol, which is an underground station just as Berlin Potsdamerplatz and Barcelona sants. But it didn’t really work out as I wanted to, so I tried it again at Rotterdam Centraal..
Update: December is the perfect month for lists, top 10's and compilations. As 2014 is coming to an end, it's time to look back at the photos that I have made in the last year. Here is a small compilation of my favorite photos.
I made a compilation of the pictures I upload before, but now in the way they aren't retouched.
I didn't upload pictures for a while, because I haven't got my camera the next weeks, so I'll only upload some old pictures I think. My excuse for not uploading any picture the last week.
Compilation of the Krautrock label Ohr, published in 1971. 2 LPs, both good, particularly the second one, which has mostly instrumental tracks that are unusually experimental and long for a compilation. Some of them, however, have been cut shorter. Well, they had to make some compromise, I guess. Annexus Quam is gigantic.
I have another Ohr compilation, called Ohrenschmaus, with similar music. But I don't like its cover so I won't post it on Flickr.
Gatefold cover designed by Helmut Friz. Later a CD with a very similar cover became available, but it's not as good as this one.
